Sunrise Senior Living

My mother had a stroke and I needed to find an assisted living facility. After narrowing the choices I looked at six different places. A couple were larger communities but most were adult care homes. I chose Garden Square Westlake based on the fact that the home was clean and"homey" - not so perfect you feel like you are in a showroom, but spacious and nice. There is a wonderful social atmosphere. The home is in a beautiful neighborhood and is close to highway 34. It's easy to get to. My mom is happy here and that gives me peace of mind

Went on a tour, what a beautiful place, very nice people work there. There was even a little therapy dog running around, brought me joy. They have a lot scheduled activities and trips, many options for mom I wish I could afford definitely would be contender.

We loved the concept of independent living. Broodale of Battery Park is an alternative to living alone. The apartments are large, bright and very clean. The food was amazing and the community was very inviting. [Name removed] was extremely thoughtful and was very patient with my friend who is 88 years old. Although my friend may not be ready to leave her home, when she decides to do so this will be her first choice

I moved my dad here after rehab from breaking his hip back in June. He loves it! The care is outstanding. The food is great and everyone is so nice. He was in assisted living before on the south shore and this place is so much better. He can be hard to please, but since everyone there is so patient with him, he has grown to like all of his care team members and everyone else that works there. I don't have one bad thing to say about this place. The only reason why he is leaving is because he needs extra care and the cost goes up depending on how much care the patient needs. The cost is high, but only if your loved one needs a lot of care. If they don't, then the cost is low compared to other assisted living facilities. When I visit (almost every day) his apartment is REALLY clean and he receives his medicine right on time every day. They do a great job here.

Staff was extremely friendly and engaged with residents. Residents were active and pleasant. Design felt like "home" and seniors needs were the focus. Remodeling updates in process showed commitment to the residents. [Name removed] was very helpful. We will be back with Mom.

I had looked into Sunrise several years ago for my parents and it was top notch then, and continues to be, especially with the enhanced memory/care "neighborhood." [Name removed] was extremely helpful, as were Nurse [name removed] and Unit Manager [name removed] in their coming out to assess Mother's condition for entry to the facility. Excellent facility, resources, staffing; Sunset would be great if it were not for Mother's medical conditions precluding her acceptance at this time. Perhaps, in time, if she should improve, Mother would be a prime candidate for residency in the memory unit, but again, not a good fit for her at this time. Highly recommend Sunrise for those who are suitable.

After touring four senior communities, we chose Sunrise of Gilbert for our mother. She fully participated in the decision and has been very happy in her apartment since her move. The staff has been wonderfully friendly and helpful. There is a great quantity and variety of activities and the staff is very open to residents' requests and suggestions. The food has been good and our mother enjoys the dining room experience. Her apartment is comfortable and the weekly cleaning and laundering of bedding is very appreciated. Our mother is happy with the very reasonably priced beauty salon on premises. We are particularly impressed with the attention to upkeep all over the property. This was a difficult transition for our mother to make. She was sad at reaching the time of life that she needed to sell her home, but the friendly people and the size of the community at Sunrise has helped her feel she is making good friends. There is nothing I would wish to improve about her experience. She's happy and we are happy and feel great about every (frequent) visit we have there.

This community is nothing short of amazing offering the total package from cottage life to assisted living to memory care. Meals are in the dining room, and you can even have your pet with you. There's no need to worry about those who wander because it's secure. Very clean, friendly, and beautiful. Activities are geared for involvement. Adequate staffing. Gets my vote.

My first impression as I walked in the door was very positive. It's the total package from cottage living to assisted apartments to memory care. The ratio of help to residents was 1 to 5. Lots of activities are offered to target involvement. If the choice is mine as to where mom spends her years, this is the place.

My Dad was at this location for a short time and unfortunately passed away on hospice. We had him at another competitor and that experience at the prior was a challenge. But I can't say enough of how amazing the time was at Sunrise Webster Groves. We couldn't have imagined a better group of loving people. During my Dad's last days the staff was so caring. We wish we could have found Webster Groves sooner. We highly, highly recommend.

We chose this place for my sister-in-law because of the Memory Care Unit.On the tour , we were impressed by the friendly staff and the cleanliness of the facility.On subsequent visits, we were convinced we have made the right choice for her.Our A Place for Mom advisor [name removed] has been with us every step of the way. So have [name removed] and [name removed] from Sunrise. We needed their support when an unexpected hospitalization really gobsmacked us.Thankfully, everything worked out. A big plus for us is that our Siberian Husky Sky can visit her " Mommy Susie ", as I know that they do miss each other.

Bottom line first: The level of care in the assisted living, and and the staff are both exceptional. Now the beginning, for me, my mom transitioned in [date removed], I moved my father, who at the time was on a hospice watch, 3 months later, and I cried and thought it might be the beginning of the end for him. No way, 3 months after that he was taken off hospice watch, he was walking all over the place, he became social, and loved/loves participating in the activities that are powered by the love and energy of the staff, and he is now thriving at 100 years instead of surviving. This staff is amazing, absolutely the best. I love these women of the heart. On his 100th birthday, well they just took it over the top for him, and it was a fun time for all. I celebrate them every day. a giant thank you goes out to the staff at the assisted living at Stratford Court Boca.

Very nice facility and friendly staff.

A wonderful community, the staff my family and I interacted with were down to earth and caring. This is a great environment for seniors with the ability he age in place very nicely. The availability at the time was not suited to our family needs, otherwise a first choice residence.

This facility has an amazing management team, true "Serving Hearts". The atmosphere and vibe in this building is warm, inviting and genuine. A lovely homelike setting for the aging population. They get an A+ rating from our family.

There cannot be a better place for my mom. Before sunrise she was depressed and did nothing but watch TV. Now she is thriving for life again. She goes on outings and participates in the many activities they offer. Food isnt bad but they need to speed up service. The people that work there are so kind understanding and friendly. It is pricey but worth it if you can afford it. Parking is frustrating at times.

The tour was very good. Although the elevator was being serviced. We have already signed up for my mother in law to go to this facility at the end of August.
