My grandfather was a stoic Army veteran who drove tanks in Korea who always told me he wanted nothing to do with nursing homes/assisted livings when he was older. This all changed when he was living with the Sunrise Crew in Burlington, he had nothing but positive interactions and good things to say everyday about all of the residents and employees who work here. Many times when I would offer to take him out to lunch, he would refuse because he wanted to us eat with everyone in the main area so I could meet his friends (staff, residents, etc). For myself and my family, we want to thank you again and are forever grateful! Highly recommend this facility!

This is a very impressive facility. The operation professional and i was provided excellent information regarding the industry. However, the cost is outside of my range.

The staff is friendly and truly care about my mom! Allot of the people working here have been with Sunrise for a long time which I really like because she gets to know who is taking care of her. The rooms are smaller than other places, but I cared more about who would be taking care of my mom when I wasn't there. And I found that with Sunrise of Edina. I would highly recommend them if that is your focus too.

Lovely community. Clean, fresh, modern, long time staff, center provides many interesting activities for their residents. I've chosen Sunrise for Respite Care for my mother.

This is our favorite place! Love the warm, open feeling from entering and throughout! The staff is fabulous as well! We will most likely be choosing this as mom's new home!

My 95 year old dad moved into the assisted living after breaking his hip in May this year. He had been living at home but that did not seem possible again. After being on the 4th floor for a week he told us that if he could afford it he did not want to go back home. He really loved living there. He plays bingo, goes to happy hours, goes on scenic drives and participates in most activities. After 5 months in assisted living his leg/hip recovered enough that he moved to independent living. He is loving life and is no longer lonely. Sunrise at Montgomery Village has been absolutely wonderful.

I had a 2:30pm appointment with [name removed] but I arrived an hour early. One of the sales person took me and my friend who came with me to her office. We were briefed in detailed about what Sunrise Montgomery Village offer their residence. We looked at a one bedroom and a den and also a one bedroom apartment. I preferred the first apartment, it will be perfect for me and my husband. Just before I left, [name removed] came to the lobby to say hi. The staff were very nice and friendly from the sales Representative, the front desk to maintenance men & housekeeping.

My mother has been a resident at Sunrise of Willowbrook for a couple of years, having started in assisted living and then later moving to the 3rd floor memory care unit. Our family has been extremely pleased with her care. The environment is clean and well-maintained, and the residents are kept active with stimulating activities. The admissions staff was so helpful, kind and reassuring during the initial process, even helping my mom find a wonderful doctor locally. I agonized over the decision to place my mom in assisted living, and explored caregiving at home as an option, but we are very glad we decided on Sunrise of Willowbrook. She could never get this level of stimulation and socialization at home. My mother is able to receive her medical and dental care on site, can even get her hair done, which relieves our stress level and burden as a family. We absolutely lover her activity therapist who is incredibly warm and takes a personal interest in the residents. The nursing staff keeps me informed of any issues, which a truly appreciate. I could not recommend Sunrise of Willowbrook more highly.

Sunrise of Willowbrook is a five star facility! On our very first visit we knew that this was the right place for Mom to call home. We all experienced a friendly atmosphere the moment we walked in the door, and my mother, after looking at several other places in the area....knew this was were she was going to call home. Our Mother moved into Sunrise about 2 years ago and she couldn't be happier. She loves the staff, who are more than accommodating. All of the staff members take the time to get to know the residents, their needs and their families. I am beyond impressed. It is pet friendly so my Mom's grand-dogs even get to visit with her....which she loves!! One of the many aspects that our mother loves is engaging with her peers. She really enjoys meals with her new friends. We have seen a change in Mom's demeanor just by having new friends that chat about common interests and of course sharing memories from days gone by. My mom has survived all of her generation and little did we realize that developing the relationships/friendships at Sunrise has created a perspective where she does not feel alone. Sunrise of Willowbrook is everything we were looking for and more. Not only is our Mother very happy but we have peace of mind knowing she is being cared for and is safe. That in itself is priceless. Thank you [name removed] and her staff that make this facility a great place for Mom!!

My mom was at Brighton Gardens Stamford for 8 months before she passed away. She passed away last October 2018. The office staff is very kind. They welcome family participation and visits. I loved being able to help my mom and spent endless hours visiting with her. They have lots of outings and activities for the seniors. Often I had to wait for mom to finish her and activity....I was always encouraged to join [removed] The staff always made me feel welcome. This statement doesn’t just pertain to Brighton Gardens....it’s all facilities. Most of the aids are very caring...but like most facilities they’re understaffed, busy, every one has great days and bad days. No matter how busy they were the facility was clean. They always took time making sure they accommodated what was lost important to my mom....how she was dressed. I would match mom’s clothes outfits .for 2 weeks in advance they would take the time dressing her. It wasn’t easy...mom was a one person assist in a wheelchair . It was very important for my mother to dress nicely, she didn’t want to wear stretch pull-up pants, she wanted her jeans/zippered pants, button downs blouses. They always took the time to dress her making her feel special. She always had makeup, hair/ nails done by the in house stylist. They do a great job working with all personalities. We didn’t find any major problems to address and the minor concerns were immediately addressed. They were extremely concerned handling any situation with respect to the patients and family. If you have a request they try their best to accommodate. The elderly in ALL facilities need outside help from family members to keep up with their personal wants and needs also to keep a watchful eye for personal products. Now and then the seniors need a little push and can get complacent. I think it’s up to the family to follow up with their aids. The aids are -always happy to comply. You need to be their advocate and talk for your loved one. It’s a 3 way partnership. The seniors cannot be left without loving help from someone who personally cares. Brighton Gardens was very caring when mom or I had any small complaint they took it very seriously. Most times is was handled quickly If not I followed up and they were quick and happy to respond. My mom loved BG....for me it was a bitter sweet....I didn’t want to admit my mother was getting older and needed help. I can’t think of a more loving place for her to spend her last days. Remember no circumstance is perfect especially when it’s an heightened emotional time in our life. We can’t leave our aging parents in any facility without lovingly helping them. It’s like having a child when you send them off to school you still have to work with them at home. It’s not the schools responsibility to raise your child. It’s the same with senior it’s our responsibility to lend a helping hand. I personally had the best last 8 months with my mother with the help of Brighton Garden faculty! I miss visiting my mom her friends and the staff. We had many wonderful laughs! I miss and love you mom!!!! Thank you Brighton for happy memories!

Very impressed all around. Very clean. The staff was friendly and observed interactions with residents was heartwarming. A higher number of residents in memory care, this does not seem to affect the personalized care observed at smaller facilities. Really nice place

Fantastic! My mother (99 yo) has been living independently til now. She was apprehensive first few days. Now she loves it. Great food. Put on weight, loads of activities. Very caring staff. Nursing staff caught medication error and informed PMD. Facility was an inviting homelike atmosphere. I can now travel abroad with no worries.

It's just been about 4 months since she joined the community and has made friends and says that no one complains, it's all good! The staff really helps out by mailing me my mom's business mail, and calling me when there is the slightest issue. One piece of advice is to not go with a landline there. I hated that company and we have gotten my mom a cell phone which she is using for the first time in her life! And at 95 that's quite an accomplishment! Her buds help her with that. I am happy that my Mom is being cared for by the staff at Sunrise!!!

My name is [name removed], I have an Aunt that I was interested in Sunrise so we went and visited. My Aunt is 95 and was very nervous going there. From the minute she got out of the car she Loved the outside and that she would be able to sit outside. When we went in she was just as excited, everyone was so gracious to her it was Wonderful. They were so great answered all my questions and hers. I was impressed they were more concerned with what she thought. Overall the Staff and Sunrise is a great place. [name removed]
