Sunrise Senior Living

Our family had an in person tour experience, and it was a phenomenal facility. It was perfect, there were not fowl smells. The only reason we did not choose the community was because of the cost, it was pretty expensive.

The pandemic has really impact the Sunrise community this past year, but we cannot blame them. They have done a great job given the circumstances. The care takers there would absolutely be a 10 plus.

We toured Sunrise Villa and it was a very nice facility. They did a great job at keeping in contact with us even after informing them that we were going with another facility. My mom just thought that it was too fancy for her.

I would recommend the community to others. I think they are doing a great job. They keep us informed of our loved one via phone updates. They are available to assist us by calling or speaking to us about our questions.

We toured this community and the tour was very good. We liked the community and the staff was very thorough. Unfortunately, the community didnt fit our needs.

I am very impressed with the compassion, professionalism, and patience exhibited by all of the staff at Brighton Gardens - Dunwoody. My father went into the community quite distressed. Within the span of one month, his entire demeanor has changed. He is now engaging with other residents at meals; visiting with other older gentlemen; and enjoying his life. This has given me much needed peace of mind and I know that if I have any questions, all I have to do is make a call or send an email and the staff will do all they can to assist me.

We chose Brighton Gardens because they were close to where I live, they were highly recommended to us, and the overall admissions person was very nice throughout the process. The room sizes are adequate for what she needs. They send out newsletters and emails frequently to keep families updated and they also have an app called SMILE as well where you can get updates. I would recommend to others looking.

My 96 year old Mum, who is suffering from Alzheimer's, has been living at Sunrise of Oakville for the past three years. Mum is very happy and content in her bright, spacious apartment. Her physical, emotional, intellectual, social and spiritual needs are being well taken care of by an extremely knowledgeable, caring and friendly staff. The building is a cozy, well designed one. Communication between Sunrise and Mum's family is excellent. The food is delicious and nutritious. Sunrise moved quickly to protect both the residents and staff at the beginning of the COVID pandemic and continues to do so.

We toured Sunrise and it was a very nice facility, we were pleased and everyone was friendly. They did not put any pressure on us and called just to check in. It was just too far away from family and was too expensive for us at the time.

They are starting to bring back the activities which is great, that are being very careful. They also allow pets, so our loved one has her dog there which is huge plus. We really like that our loved one will not have to go to a nursing home if need be. They will just increase the care depending on their health, and they have a dementia unit there. We also really ike the apartment set up here, it is much like our loved ones previous apartment.

They are absolutely terrific at Sunruse of Cary and we are very happy.

The nursing staff goes above and beyond. They accommodate the specific needs of the family and resident. The staff are willing to meet whenever you need to. Our experience was during the pandemic. The one bedroom apartments could be a bit bigger.

Our experience was brief but they did a great job, the care services were good and we have no complaints about Sunrise. Our loved one never complained about the meals, and they still tried to do some activities with him the best they could but he was borderline hospice. The value and price was right along with the other communities in the area.

From what we were able to see of the community it was very clean and the staff members were so friendly. Sometimes it was hard to tell the specific care services since we were not able to see things first hand, but we did understanding everything was skewed due to the pandemic. Our father said the food was great, and sometimes there would be mental games for the residents to play that was done in groups up at a chalk board. They also had different ball games. We did think the value was okay, but sometimes the communication regarding the covid protocols and updates was not the best. The gentlemen that was head of activities on the third floor which was also the memory care unity, really bonded with our father. He took to hims so well and really helped him out. If it were not for him it would of been a much different experience for our father.

[name removed] was informative, reassuring and knowledgeable. The facility is exceptionally clean, worm and welcoming. The residents were happy and delightful.

My father moved here after an extended stay in a hospital last Fall. He was frail and weak after numerous medical issues after having been so vital and living unassisted. He needed so much more care. And it was during the worst of the COVID 19 pandemic. The staff worked with myself and both of my siblings as we divided up tasks. They have been absolutely fantastic with us and with my Dad in getting all of his needs met and care set up during this health care crisis as well as keeping us informed every step of the way. They have helped facilitate facetime calls, fluctuating needs and getting my Dad on a schedule which has resulted in substantial gains in his health which we did not think were possible. We are thrilled with all the staff and level of physical, mental and administrative care and support he receives and look forward to more social activities once the lockdowns are over.

Our loved one moved into assisted living ++ which meant more care then your typical assisted living. The community has always been clean, the place and people are incredible, they are so wonderful five stars is not enough for them. They have stayed right on top of covid testing everybody and making sure to keep the safety of the residents as a top priority. We could not be happier our loved one is more engaged at this facility and actually getting involved in things and with other residents.
