Sunrise Senior Living

Sunrise of Fairfax gets 5+ stars and we would absolutely recommend them to other families based on the experience we have had so far. There is not one thing we do not like about this community. The quality of care is super - when it comes to the care givers you can tell it is not just a job for them but that they genuinely care for the seniors. We absolutely love them, and our loved one is very happy at Sunrise. He goes down to the dining hall for his meals and enjoys playing bingo with the other ladies. He is much more social then what he has been in years. We feel so comfortable with them taking care of our loved one and they have truly made a difference in our live.

We picked this community because, of the level of care, location, cleanliness, friendliness, care concern of staff, resident programs.Things they do well includes; loving care. Resident activitites, well kept facility. They can improve by eliminating solid waste odors that sometimes permeate the hallway.

Mom [name removed] has been a resident of Sunrise Brighten Gardens for just about 4 years. She and I would like to thank you all for your caring attention during her time living there. She and I would like you all to know that what you do and for your being there on a daily bass is greatly appreciated . Mom is so very grateful for this community of people who are charged with her care, I as her daughter, feel fortunate that I can count on you all to meet all of moms needs with kind hearts and loving spirits.

Our loved one came here from another community and so far it has been a really good experience. There is much more staffing which has made such a difference in our loved one care - if she needs something she gets the assistance right away because there is always a staff member around. It is more expensive but they do have the extra care our loved one needs. Overall she seems very happy .

Sunrise at Fountain Square is fantastic. I love it. It's very, very nice. My parents love it there, too. They check up on them, they make sure everything's fine and going through this whole COVID situation and everything, they're very proactive. If anybody had COVID, they would start taking tests and everything like that. They keep a nice distance, but they keep a nice watchful eye on them. They have a two-bedroom with a full kitchen and everything, but they don't even use the kitchen that much because they use the meals that are supplied by Sunrise. The dining area is very nice. They have a nice fireplace down there. It's on the first floor and it outlooks to a nice little garden area and the service there is fantastic. The food is very good. There are lots of choices. They do a very good job with maintenance and upkeep. They repainted everything and redid the carpeting before they moved in. Everything is very up-to-date and very clean. You name it, they have it.

My brother, [name removed], has been a resident of Brighton Gardens in Florham Park since 2014. I am not sure my brother would be alive today if it were not for the care he has received at Brighton Gardens. He was initially in the assisted living section and has since been a resident in the Reminiscence Program. The care he receives is excellent. The aides are wonderful. They are patient and kind to everyone. Tom has always been happy there.

So far we are Happy with Sunrise. Staff is great. Only improvement would be with dining experience. They sometimes are late serving meals or don't have what residents ordered ahead. What they do well is keep place very clean and are friendly and caring to the residents.

The staff members have done a very good job seeking out our loved one and really encouraging her to get out into the community and get involved with the other residents and we really appreciate that. She says all the time how friendly the staff members are. Based on our experience so far we have recommended Brighton Gardens to others and we absolutely will continue to do so.

When you walk into Sunrise it feels like a home. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They make mom feel at home. As far as questions are concerned, if they don't have the answers, they get them and either call me or tell me the next time I'm in. They have three meals a day and snacks too. Mom doesn't always want what they are serving so they will fix her something else like a peanut butter sandwich which makes her day!! They always have something else for them to eat if they don't like the menu.

They've been very good with my mother. I think she's still difficult and having trouble adjusting, but that's her and not the staff. They've been extremely friendly to us, and I think they do a really good job with her. I ate Thanksgiving dinner there recently, and it was good. The facility is very nice, and they keep it clean. The cost is high, but I understand their expenses are high and that they need to pay their employees, etc. I get the feeling the staff want to be there, which is a good thing.

The staff are very friendly. They are very good and patient with the family in answering our questions. The staff have been doing a great job in caring for my loved one. They also have been very informative of guiding us on the health journey of our loved one. I feel like this is a good value for the money, as well.

Overall it was a very good experience at Sunrise. It was really terrific for my friend, who received excellent care. The meals were excellent. It's a little pricey, but it's a good value with all that you get.

Everyone took a lot of time and care to answer questions, show us around, make sure we felt heard/understood. We liked Sunrise of North Hills, and it was a good option and was okay. It did seem more like a nursing home than assisted living. We didn't feel like it was the right atmosphere for our loved one who is still very active socially. The biggest issue is that they provide no transportation. My loved one is a dialysis patient and needs to go 3x/week.

We had a very positive tour experience with Sunrise of Wayne. I actually would have preferred my loved one to go here because it was much closer, but it was up to her and we are just happy she agreed to go somewhere.

The food is fresh and off the charts good. There is a good selection of food available for the residents. There are two caregivers for 20 rooms on each floor. The response time to call buttons can be slow, and there are times the staff don't respond to the call button requests, especially on the weekends. There were some very good caregivers available at the community. The staff were good at medication management. We did end up paying for caregivers 24 hours a day to make sure our loved one was taken care of. The community like other companies are struggling to get employees. The staff were friendly. They had wide hallways with comfortable chairs for the residents to sit in.

We are very happy. My father is well cared for. He's gained weight from the meals. Any time we've had a complaint it's been dealt with quickly. They provide transportation twice a week to dialysis. It's a huge relief that dad is settled and happy.

They had great staff and a beautiful community. It was too far from doctors and family.

Our family had an in person tour and this was a very tough decision for our family, we ultimately left the decision up to our loved ones and they went with a different community however we would absolutely highly recommend Sunrise of Naperville North.

Sunrise of Jacksonville is very welcoming which we like, and we like how accessible the staff are. It is really easy to get in communication with the director, the head person on the medical side of things and really just everyone. Based on our experience we would recommend this community to other families.

While our loved one was a resident at Sunrise all of the staff members were very involved in their care. We really appreciated how much they made it a priority to establish a connection with our loved one -that truly made us happy and we were very happy with this community. if our loved one needs a memory care community in the future we will be looking back into Sunrise.
