Sunrise Senior Living

I toured this facility briefly and it is beautiful. The guy that assisted us here was very nice. I prefer a smaller facility that is only Memory Care and this facility is large and has more than just Memory Care.

My loved one has been very happy here. It's a fantastic place. Not only has my loved one felt very safe and secure here, but also very at home. The staff has made sure that they make him feel like part of the family. The manager has been a tremendous help with my loved one's dog. I would absolutely recommend this facility to family and friends.

This was a nice community. It was more expensive that we wanted.

We could not be happier with Sunrise of West Bloomfield. Great personal care, immaculate always, great caring staff.

Things seem to be going well here for mom, overall. They're very kind to her and taking care of her. They have a lot of caring staff and it's a good value. Mom has mentioned that she's tired of them serving the same things for meals, so I wish they would have more variety. She does, however, love the soups. I think they're homemade. Activities are ok, but I think they could use to be updated and have more variety. It seems like mostly babysitting, not a whole lot of engagement. Which is hard for mom since her Dementia is mild. Initially they told us that she would be able to participate in the Assisted Living activities, but that's only happened a couple of times, which is kind of disappointing. One thing I wasn't aware of when we signed up is that they ask for 2 months rent in advance, so we've basically been a month behind in billing. I wish that would have been disclosed and made very known upfront. But overall things are good and I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

I thought Sunrise of Marlboro was great. We had a tough decision between them and another facility, which we chose because the location was more convenient for our family. But the staff at Sunrise was very warm, welcoming, and caring. And they were very detail-oriented. Every question I had was answered, including questions I didn't even know I had!

This was a beautiful community with great grounds, and a warm environment. The community didn't have the ability to provide the care that my loved one most likely would need in the future.

My wife was there only seven hours, but the service was thumbs up.

The gal who was giving us the tour did a phenomenal job. We found the facility to not be near as lively as we would have liked. It was pretty quiet. We toured during lunch time and the residents were not socializing with one another. That was not appealing for what my parents wanted.

When we are older, it is a more difficult task and it takes longer and often requires help as well as a safe and supportive atmosphere. Sunrise and ALL of its staff try to support the residents to make this adjustment. Even with the best of efforts, it doesn't work for everyone, but keep trying and stay the course.

We just brought my husband’s mother to live at Bay Village Annapolis from her home of 40 years. They were so welcoming and helpful that she adjusted almost immediately. She went from fully bedridden to moving in and out of a wheelchair in just over a week. She now goes down and has her meals with everyone else and she attends most of the special events that they seem to have here daily. Her transition is well underway and she loves living here. They ([name removed]) even opened the on-site hair salon and washed her hair when she missed her appointment. The staff and management really care for their residents here and it shows in a thousand little ways. The food is way above what you would expect. My husband and I have been joining my mother-in-law most days for meals as she settles in and the food is truly terrific. Next up, physical therapy onsite. She wants to get back to dancing so that she join in with everyone. This place is a life changer!

They had nice staff and activities. It could use some new carpeting.

We had a nice tour of Sunrise of Louisville, and it was a very close second choice for us. The only staff I met were the sales person and a custodian, but both were very nice. In touring different facilities, I seemed to find two types of places: 1) the Cadillacs of senior care, or 2) terrible places for still a lot of money. Sunrise of Louisville was definitely a Cadillac. It was just a little farther away form where I live. But I was very Impressed with it.

I think the Jefferson is a very nice, very classy place. It was voted Best Over 55 Facility by Arlington Magazine. And my loved one is very happy there. The staff are great, and the meals are excellent.

Brighton Gardens was wonderful. My mom was there for 5 months. She just came home. They took great care of her, and she loved everyone there.

My mother has resided at Sunrise at Holladay for the past 3 1/2 years, the first two years in the Independent Living lodging of the building and for the past year and a half in the Assisted Living lodging. She as always been interested in the activities provided in both places and has made many friends. It was a transition for her to move to the Assisted Living area and took some adjusting but as she became familiar with the staff and the daily schedule she began to enjoy herself. A couple of her friends from the Independent Program moved to Assisted Living too and that made things even better. The staff is very caring, and helpful making this a safe and positive place for my mother to live! The activities are fun and stimulating and the nursing staff has been approachable, responsive to my mother's needs, and has informed me of any issues of concern. I always feel welcome to visit and am very grateful to the staff at Sunrise at Holladay!

Anyone who has searched for assisted living for their parent knows it's a harrowing ordeal with confusion at every corner. Brighton Gardens has been an amazing experience from the first interview to settling my mom into the Brighton Gardens home. I highly recommend that anyone who is struggling and wanting to find a place where your loved one - I highly recommend Brighton Gardens.

My loved one loves the food, it's good. They do have a lot of activities. We picked this community because of its location and small size. They are extremely friendly, and very welcoming, the staff is very nice, and it feels homey. I would recommend to other families.

It could not be a better fit. My mom loves it, we love it and they go out of their way. The facility is not super crowded. She loves the food, the entertainment, etc. I really love everything about it. The staff are so caring, attentive, and sincere towards the residents. From the kitchen staff to the directors, I know them all already and they have been awesome. Everyone is so involved. It is just a wonderful place, I cannot recommend them highly enough.
