Activities are hard to score because he does not participate in many, but the activities director is fantastic and I know she sets up wonderful things. We are very happy with the quality of care and the staff is wonderful. It is a "just right" fit for his needs and we are grateful that we found the right facility for him. I didn't mention but I think the outdoor areas for residents are lovely and many we looked at did not have secure outdoor areas, so this is a huge bonus. We love the courtyard and sidewalks, which are fenced in and safe.

My daughter had come to look at Independence Village and then she let me know about the Village and she thought it would be a good place for me to consider. She sent me info and I decided that it would be a good place for me. I was confident enough to let the director of the Village pick a room and room location for me. I was moving from Seattle, Wa and wanted to have it be n easy move and meet my needs. I am very happy here- moved in [date removed] and all is well. My studio apartment is the perfect size and meets all my needs. The building is well kept and resident problems are handled as soon as possible. I am in the dinner plan and continental breakfast plan. Sometimes the food selections are not to my taste but I have learned to deal with that. The staff is friendly and caring and listen to the residents' concerns. There are many activities to get involved in such as bingo, crafts, trips to shopping, poker, movies, trips to events, etc I am very happy and grateful my new home.

Welcoming, friendly, easy, clean and beautiful! Caring staff with a good attitude. Lots of places to wonder outside for fresh air or a neighborhood to talk to. A safe environment but not confining. Wonderful food!
