The Sunrise of Gahanna a nice facility. The meals are also good. I would recommend the Sunrise of Gahanna. The staff and residents are very, very nice. Everyone is nice there. They also have a good selection of activities.

The Marquette is a very nice facility. They have really nice quaint little dining rooms, very home like. It was a convenient location for us. I was impressed with what I saw, especially with their in house care staff.

Overall its a good community and the care services are excellent here. She is very happy being care and being very well taking care of. I dont have anything to complain about really everything is going good.

Very nice facility but not a good fit for my Mom. I feel that she needs more care.

I went and visited at the senior star at Weber place and it was very nice. the director and staff was friendly and answered all the questions that I asked. The patients their seemed really happy.

Comment: I really liked this place, it was very nice. It reminded me of a hotel, bright, clean and friendly looking. The atmosphere was lively and people seemed to be engaged with each other. There were a lot of people walking around and they seemed in good spirits. The size of the one bedrooms seemed a little small, but it may be because my mom is coming from a 4 bedroom house that is a little hard to picture her living in a one bedroom place, but it was okay. The kitchens were really small, not a lot of counter space but adequate for making small meals.

I only gave 'em a 3-star rating on Value, Core Services and Activities because they are pretty much doing everything that everyone else is doing, at about the same rate. The location is the main selling point for me. It's close to my friends and church. I did like the fact that this facility is close to bus lines and is in walking distance to basic shopping, fast-food vendors and the Carrollton Library/Senior Center.

Our loved one has not been here long, but so far things seem to be going well with Independence Village. Our loved one was initially very resistant to moving, but seems to be settling in well here. The facility itself is well kept and clean, and the staff have been friendly and helpful.

It is a very pleasant place

We moved to this community in August of 2010. It was the right decision for us to sell our condo and come here for independent living. We enjoy our spacious apartment, the present chef's meals and the many opportunities for various activities. However, the demographic in five years has changed considerably due to the influx of residents that really need more assisted living.

Food is usually good. Staff and workers are friendly and kind. Nicely decorated. Ambiance of IVofBV is great. There a few things that could be better. Activities are sparse. Some days none at all.

I like the atmosphere and amenities, and personnel, but I think for the money we pay, the food should be much better.

The employees work hard to please the occupants who live here. Basically the entire staff has a positive attitude. Christmas decorations are special!

My wife and I knew this facility quite well before we moved in almost 3 years ago, as her sister lived her about 7 years. We liked the food and hospitality -- and the programs held in the atrium. Having visited a couple other senior facilities to see friends, we were partial to Independence Village and we find it fine in almost all respects (but it's not like our old home!). Incidentally, we have 2 of 3 daughters in this area.

We've only been here 2 months, but have found the staff and residents to be very friendly and helpful. The medical assistance has been much better than our past assisted living facility. The costs are comparable. thus far, The Hearth at Windermere has been a pleasant experience.

Hi did visit with Kim Vale, very nice facility, but not as diverse as we would like it for our Mother and far out of our Mother's budget. Kim did give me their sister property in Bexeley that may be within our Mother's budget. I will go an visit that property sometime this week. Thanks

I can only give them a general good. Our loved one hasn't gotten to spend much time there yet, there have been a lot of health issues to deal with. The doctor at Sunrise has been involved in her care. I think they have had her best interest at heart. When I did visit the facility it was very clean, and nice looking.

Staff is very helpful, kind and professional. The facility for the most part is well kept and clean with nice public spaces. It's obvious the apartments were not originally built for seniors: bathrooms need higher toilets and better showers, kitchens should have microwaves instead of stoves, plus small dishwashers and disposals. Cupboards need handles. Food is very good but portions are small and they tend to run out of entrees and desserts too often.

My mom lived here for a while. It was okay, until she fell, and went to the hospital and nobody notified me. I'm glad she got to the hospital, but I thought a phone call would be standard. She moved after that. Everything else was fine while she was here.

It's going good, I don't have any concerns. The place is kept clean, and the staff is very friendly. It's not a happy situation to be in, so it's hard to be enthusiastic, even about a nice place. But it's made a hard time in life, a little easier.
