My mother moved into Powell Senior Living in February and was one of the first people to live there. The staff could not have been more accommodating as they provided an apartment for her to live in while her apartment was being remodeled with handicap provisions. She moved into her newly handicapped apartment in April. She has been very happy there although she believes that more attention could be given to food quality, quantity, and preparation. She also feels that there should be more staff help in some areas. For the most part she has been happy at Powell Senior Living. She has made friends and feels like the facility is now home.

If we could have picked the building up and relocated it to another location that was closer to the family we would have done it that is how good this place is. The community is only about a year old so everything is fresh and new and looks wonderful.The staff was friendly and very kind. We loved everything about the community except the location it was a little to far for the family.

Activities are well planned.

Facility is beautiful, there are many areas for family to interact with loved ones. Grandparent’s room is nice.

Facility is nice. Activities are well planned. Only complaint is the food my mom can’t eat dinner with any spices on the food.

[Removed] couldn’t be more of a help when I am at this location. She is always kind and polite. She always makes score she smiles and tells you hi and good bye.

It would be great with some changes.

A very nice facility. My mother is -105- enjoys the 9 months she has lived here. However some training for the caregivers in working with the blind would be helpful. The staff is caring and basically helpful with her.

This is a nice community and the staff here did a very nice job with our tour, they took their time showing us around and they answered all our questions. There are a lot of amenities for the residents to take part in as well. We just felt that another community we had visited would be a better fit for my mom.

While they have been a few hiccups. The aids who have been working with my mom have. For the most part been very kind to her. [Removed] have especially kind.

Many personnel have walked the extra mile to facility our wants and needs. No one has extolled these virtues as [Removed] always friendly an informative, we are most happy. With her and her cheerful experience.

I know it’s where I need to be at 99, but its not like being home. I need lots of time for being alone so I can read, write letters and keep in touch with the few people who will want the same and less business for America they all need donations and I’m. It’s expensive for me, but I’m not going to live forever or am I? Best of those.

Powell Senior Living is brand new. The Assisted Living building has not been finished yet. We were treated to a delightful tour of a community that has excellent one bedroom housing available. They are well designed and have great storage. Open and airy, the suites are more than adequate. We were told that the Assisted Living apartments will be very similar. There are an abundant "gathering places" for residents to visit with each other and with family and friends. There is plenty of opportunity for activities--as the Director of Fun can tell you!

The staff are encouraging and friendly. The dining room is nice with cloth table cloths, nice dishes and good service. Unfortunately, the food is not so great. The community is clean and the grounds are well maintained. They offer daily activities. I would recommend this community.

Our loved one is settling in nicely at Sanctuary Grande. It is a beautiful and well maintained, clean facility. She is able to socialize and she is making new friends. The staff at the front desk are wonderful. I can call the front desk if she doesn't answer her phone in her room they will go out and find her to give her my message. Anytime I have any questions are concerns they respond quickly. They have a 24-hour nursing staff that keep in close communication with me and calls me after each doctor's visit to give me updates. The atmosphere is very warm and inviting. She has a very nice apartment with a patio on the first floor. There is also a patio located on the outside of the activity center. They have a monthly calendar of activities and outings for the residents, and also deliver a schedule of daily events each morning to the residents. I had dined there one time and the meals at that time were good. The have a daily special and if the resident does not like the special, they can order from a menu. They and go to the dining room anytime between 7am & 7 pm, and do not need reservations as some facilities require. Sanctuary Grand is within 3 miles to family members it is a perfect location with beautiful surroundings. I would highly recommend this community to others.

I had two other communities to pick from after having a tour and getting the experience with them. I felt they were able to help assist but were more for independent residents and my loved one had limitations.

I have enjoyed living at Story Point from the very first day! It is a beautiful home and I am so happy to be here. Of course, there is a always room for improvement – mainly the food. We need an RN on staff even ½ time. All the people that work here and so kind and helpful. [Removed] is a great leader and always ready to listen to us. Volunteer [Removed] is a blessing.

I'am doing well with my move to this community. It is a nice facility with kind people. I really enjoy the staff, they are always willing to help. They do a great job with keeping the community well maintained. There nice meals, and good activities available. I'am comfortable with my move to this community, and I would recommend it.

I HAVE NOTICED AND FELT A LOSS OF HOMEYNESS AND FRIENDLINESS EVER SINCE [Removed] LEFT AS THE DIRECTOR, AND IT REALLY WENT SOUTH WHEN [Removed] TOOK OVER, AND IT HAS NOT GAINED BACK WHAT IT WAS LIKE UNDER THE NEW DIRECTOR, SORRY TO SAY. ALSO THE ACTIVITY PERSONNEL LEAVES ALOT TO BE DESIRED. WHEN [Removed],AND [Removed] AND [Removed] WERE THERE, I COULD FEEL AND SEE THE CARE AND LOVE THEY HAD FOR EACH RESIDENT AND THOSE WHO WALKED THROUGH THE DOOR. WHEN I CAME FOR A VISIT AND SAW ONE OF THEM, THEY ALWAYS MADE MY DAY WITH A FRIENDLY GREETING AND A HUG. NOT SO NOW!! ! ! I AM SO GRATEFUL THAT [Removed] ARE STILL AT THE FRONT DESK GREETING AND HELPING FOLKS THAT NEED HELP. THEY ALWAYS MAKE ME FEEL WELCOME, AND EVEN CHEF [Removed] IS ALWAYS FRIENDLY. I KNOW MY FOLKS ARE BEING TAKEN CARE OF AND I AM VERY GRATEFUL FOR THAT BUT AGAIN I DON'T SEE THE PERSONAL CARE, LOVE AND CONCERN FOR THEM THAT I SAW WITH [Removed]. I DON'T SEE THE PERSONNEL TAKING THE TIME TO VISIT WITH THEM ON A ONE TO ONE, NOR DO I SEE THE DIRECTOR OR OTHER STAFF MEMBERS AROUND UNLESS THERE IS SOME KIND OF ACTIVITY GOING ON. NOW I REALIZE THE OTHER GROUP WAS SPECIAL AND DYNAMIC AND THEY ALL SEEMED TO JELL AS ONE AND WORK FOR THE BETTERMENT OF THE RESIDENTS AS A WHOLE AND I JUST DON'T SEE AND FEEL THAT WITH THIS GROUP. AT ONE TIME IF I COULD AFFORD IT, I WOULD HAVE LOVED TO LIVE THERE, BUT NOT ANY MORE. WHEN BUSINESS IS PLACED BEFORE THE RESIDENTS--NOT COOL AND NOT GOOD. I KNOW THIS SOUND NEGATIVE, BUT THIS IS MY PERSPECTIVE EVER SINCE [Removed] LEFT, AND YOU ALL NEED TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. THANK YOU FOR LETTING ME VOICE MY OPINION.

Doesn’t know if welcome downstairs not sure if she would be able to. Eat downstairs very territorial down stairs. Friendliness is great, library needs to be bigger. Down stairs isn’t friendly at all.
