Candlestone is a lovely, clean facility. The culinary staff does a great job making comfort food that my Mom really likes. It’s hard to make an accurate review during COVID. I feel that the staffing and turnover has been a problem; although I understand why, it has still been a concern especially the lack of a consistent administrator and care director (several of each since [date removed]). With the recent hiring of new care and activities directors I am hoping both activities and communications will improve.

Good community, they didn't have a Medicare waiver that we need. Also the care level was too expensive for us.

[name removed] is fantastic!! The place looks clean has great options for food and activities. The staff has been super nice and accommodating. We are looking forward to my mom becoming part of the community.

It's a nice place. The care is good. It's not the most exclusive place in the Indianapolis area, but it's a very nice place.

Overall: The people are very friendly and so helpful. I am so pleased with everyone since my stay.

While [name removed] was a resident at Hathaway Hills, he was treated with respect and dignity. He was very active and sometimes difficult i.e., refusing to take showers. A few times He even lashed out at care givers. The workers were very patient and never forced him. I felt they loved him even when he behaved badly. The staff and management always treated me well and listened to my concerns. I am very grateful for the care they took of my dear husband.

They have a lot of activities going on for the residents which is great and even with the staffing issues they do work very hard.

I live in Florida so I am not able to visit often. From conversations I have had with the staff I believe my aunt is receiving good care from caring staff. I do not have any information as to meals or activities because of my absence.

This is a very caring community. The staff is friendly and work hard. They learn the patterns and personalities of the residents and try to care for them accordingly. They treat my dad who has dementia with respect and care. They engage the residents in fun and activities. The community is also very friendly and responsive to family members. The leadership staff is available and responsive and seem to enjoy their jobs. My dad loves the food. The only time we have concerns are when they need to use agency staff which is about every other weekend. I think most facilities find themselves in that position, however. That is the only reason I gave a 4 start rating instead of a 5.

From the beginning of walking in the door is a welcoming environment, [name removed] is great! So cheerful and helpful. She is the first impression which so important and she listens and communicates to others well. My father, [name removed] enjoys the people who always say hi and call him by name. He enjoys the food most of the time, many changes with Covid and buffets but he eats e3ll and likes the variety. My father has been happy working with physical therapy and occupational therapy, He appreciates offers to other things but tends to only try things a little at a time.

My sister is happy and content at Independence Village

After a illness that my father encounter in late 2020, my father was unable to regain his strength and could not walk on his own. He was ordered to under go therapy for 45 days at a facility where he was isolated from our family. He was transferred to White Lake Assisted Living where his care was greatly improved. The environment there is like an upscale hotel where residents have their own rooms and bathrooms. We noticed his personal hygiene improved greatly in comparison to the last place. The staff was very friendly and inter active to his needs and our requests to visit. Their management team is on top of the needs of the residents. The dinning areas are very clean and pleasant to be in. The cleaning staff keeps the rooms clean and fresh smelling and provides laundry services as well. There are activities for the residents through out the week to keep them engaged with other people. I see the nursing staff to be very caring and attentive to the residents needs. I am thankful...

I like how clean it is here. The food is okay. I love how I have privacy.

I love being with people because my family is all long distance. I really like that we get to choose our menu for lunch, the food is very good. Bingo classes are so much fun, excites to go to exercise class and the bible group.

Well managed safe, staff well trained, and knowledgeable

I don't tend to give 5-star ratings, as there's always room for improvement. But I would 100% recommend StoryPoint as a place for anyone to have their family member live in an independent living capacity. It's warm and inviting. The staff seem to care about the residents. There has been an ownership change recently, and I think that there's a little bit of disorganization that has come along with that. But as a space for what they offer and give the residents, I'm really impressed. The staff are very friendly, and my dad raves about them. From the front desk, to the kitchen, to the custodial staff, everyone I've interacted with has been very friendly. The food that I tried was good, and my dad says it's good as well, other than some supply chain issues here and there. I see activities posted in the elevator, and it seems like they have some really fun things and a range of activities. Recently they had a hayride with a Clydesdale horse and some live music outside. There are a few areas where they could use improvement. The common areas are very clean, but my loved one hasn't had anyone come in to clean his space since he moved in, and they're supposed to come every other week. I know they're having staffing issues, here as well as throughout the industry in general. So I try to be cognizant of that. But there's also been no communication about it. Their billing and communication could definitely use improvement. I'm not getting communication from them unless I actively ask for it. But all in all, there's nothing that would preclude anyone considering putting a loved one here vs elsewhere.

We brought my 95 year old mother, who needed memory care. The process was good, the place is very lovely, and the staff is well qualified and the young caregivers are kind and genuinely care for the residents. Like all facilities at this time, nothing is perfect, good help is scarce, but in all I think I am happy I brought my mother here, and I know she is safe and cared for. The staff is friendly, and I found one staff member who is a relative of a friend, and said working there was a pleasure and was very happy with the job.
