Mostly respects the staff. Helpful, caring, knowledgeable. Appreciate that during this COVID mess StoryPoint has kept us amused, safe and well fed. Grateful that none of us have physically been affected. Loves that everyone truly wants to do their best and tries.

[Name removed] and I both feel this is the best place to be. We don't think there is a better place. Best things my wife doesn't have to cook, and the staff is outstanding. Everything they have done during this COVID mess is amazing. You can still drive by my old house and see the divots in my front lawn where I dragged my heels. Best decision I've made.

It is a very friendly community, food is excellent, activities are well planned, there is something going on 24/7. Many different ways to enrich your life!

My mother was worried about moving to Michigan and living in a retirement community! She loves it now that she has been their 4 months! She is a social butterfly and loves 5hat she can do everything she loves without leaving the building. The staff have been wonderful and biggest thing for mom no cooking and doing dishes. Loves the food! She is having the time of her life!

Everything you’d want in a new home! Incredible staff, beautiful accommodations, friendly neighbors, delicious food! 10/10! I would highly recommend.

I have toured several facilities and have never seen anything that compares to this. The staff was warm and friendly, the cleanliness was perfect, we didn't get a chance to sample the food, but it certainly smelled wonderful.

I am a home care nurse with a local skilled home care agency that visits this location to see clients and help with their in home healthcare needs. I have visited this facility a large number of times and am very impressed with the policies they have with cleanliness and their screening process with visitors and workers to help keep their residents safe. The front desk staff are the first to greet you with a smile and a friendly face. After just a few visits they also remember your name and make you feel very welcome! The caregivers and the housekeeping staff also are so friendly when ever I come to see a client! I am very impressed with this facility, from the care they give their residents, to the kindness they show to each and every person that comes through their door.

Very nice accommodations and common areas. Better standard of living than I have seen around this area. They have planned group card clubs and other activities with hair salon. Has Independent Living, Enhanced Living (which I was most interested in) and Assisted Living. The Enhanced Living with care options are very family oriented which would meet the needs of most unless you needed a locked facility. I was impressed with this facility. Brand-New!

My sister recently moved to Three Creeks Senior Living. The staff answered all of our questions quickly, were immediately responsive to us before, during, and after her move. The food is excellent, her cottage is beautiful, property grounds are lovely, and the community warm and welcoming. Three Creeks not only met but exceeded our expectations - I feel secure in her safety and well-being there.

Independence Village is nicely decorated, well maintained and very clean, has a well laid out building, good food, fun activities, and hard working/competent staff but their claim to fame is their heart!!! They aim to please ALL OF THE TIME! The staff and management are extraordinarily kind and thoughtful (before the pandemic as well as currently)! This is a place I trust, and that is very rare for me! Thank you to all at Independence Village for giving 150% every day!

I visit multiple independent, assisted, and memory care facilities for my job. When it came time for my own grandfather to move into an assisted living facility, out of the 30+ facilities I visit, I recommended Independence Village of Avon Lake to my family. My family looked at numerous facilities and agreed with my recommendation. Taking into consideration I see so many facilities I think it speaks volumes that IV of AL was my top choice for my grandfather. They treated him wonderfully. It put all of our minds at ease knowing he was in good hands. They are fantastic!

My Grandma [name removed] decided a few years ago to make Independence Village in Avon Lake her new home. She was sad to leave her home in West Park, but knew it was all time to make the next step. It is hard to make a change later in life like this, but the security, friendships, activities, beautiful grounds, and most importantly the staff (which she calls her friends) have made the move the best it could be! She can be as social as she wants with the wonderful meals and countless activities that are provided, or have quiet moments in her own apartment, knowing friends are just a call or a few steps away. Thanks to all that have made this such a wonderful place to live!

My mother has lived at Avon Lake Independence village for 3 years. She was not ready to leave her condo but for safety reasons we thought it was the best place for her. The staff were welcoming and had management and the activities director come to her apartment to welcome her and orient her. Mom was NOT happy about going and actually was very mad at us but she quickly assimilated to her new surroundings. She participated in musical activities, card playing, and special events. The staff who assist her are kind, patient and respectful even as moms dementia worsens and is uncooperative. The pandemic has brought new challenges and Independence village has risen above the standard in keeping my mom safe, keeping family informed and planning creative activities for residents. My mother in law is at a different assisted living and they do not have as many activities and programs as they do at Independence village. We are very pleased with moms experience and mom now proclaims “this was the best decision I ever made!” Don’t wait until your loved one is too ill physically or mentally to participate in their many programs. Check it out!

What a wonderful location for seniors! The staff is incredibly attentive, the grounds are clean and beautiful, and the activites are top notch. Would for sure recommend this to all of my friends and family! Truly a wonderful location.

My Nana has been a resident of Independence Village for the last year and it is an absolutely wonderful place! Ever since she moved in, they have taken many steps to make her feel welcome and to help her to become part of the community. They provide excellent care and have helped her adapt to the health challenges that she has faced. I have also been very impressed with how they handled the difficulties of Covid-19 pandemic. I have seen them work extremely hard to try to balance resident safety and also quality of life. They have been very creative to set up safe activities like virtual trivia (you team up with your family member over the phone) and help coordinate FaceTime and window visits. Their hard work has made this difficult year so much better for my family. I am so thankful that she is in a safe place with people who care about her.

My mother moved here in July 2020. She went on the 3 month trial basis because she really didn't want to move out of her house. The trial worked great and she now wants to stay. She was able to make friends quickly and enjoys all the activities. Her health has actually improved because she is participating in the daily exercise classes and is walking around the facility daily. Unfortunately, it is more difficult to visit her with COVID but that is the case anywhere.

This is a very nice independent living facility (due to our law it also accepts assisted living residents). When we are not in quarantine we have trips to stores mon, wed, fri and dr appts tues and thurs mornings. The bus when we are not quarantines. Takes trips in the afternoons to restaurants, country drives, etc.
