Transferred my cousin, who has dementia, from another facility. Last year, she was in a "memory care" unit at another facility. The staff were not at all trained to truly handle dementia patients. Story Point Ft Wayne West has an outstanding staff, led by their new director, [name removed]. The care provided to my cousin and the overall operation of the facility has been excellent. This is a staff that seems to genuinely care for one another as well as the residents which provides a very warm and welcoming environment.

This has been a positive experience for us overall. The staff are friendly and all the staff know the resident's name. They are very helpful and are prompt to tend to requests. The special services team are also helpful and friendly. The other residents are friendly. I believe the community is well run. My loved one has some dietary restrictions and there are times that the community doesn't do a good job in keeping the allergy out of the meals for my loved one.

Made a lot of friends over 4 years. Cleaning carpets more often. Get along great with staff, laugh and tease each other. They love to hear me sing! Take good care of me. Make good soup. I like my vegetables cooked less, they overcook.
