Home away from home.
My mother was a resident of Arbor Grove A. L. For 5 1/2 years. Her apartment was spacious, we never referred to it as her room, it was always her apartment. She moved most of her furniture from a two bedroom duplex to her Arbor Grove apartment . It looked and felt like home. I can not say enough good regarding the staff. Efficient, attentive and caring . She came to think of many of them as extended family. Even being legally blind, she was able to join many of the planned activities. She especially enjoyed bingo, musical entertainment and church. Being a people person , sessions meeting fellow residents was appreciated and enjoyed. I appreciated that at the end of her life, Arbor Grove supported our decision to bring in Hospice and worked with them . From the beginning to the end, Arbor Grove met my mothers needs and I am grateful for there services.
