Staff- a lot of new staff frequently not always helping others. Like the food now- before not so good. Activities- bingo- love.

Staff turnover and temporary staff. The meals are getting better and stable help in dietary. Like the scenic ridges and bus trips (when they do them).

Food is good when having to cook for so many. I have [name removed] insurance that helps pay. It's good!

More residents. Communicate to get them to activities.

Meals need to change the menu, more salads. Married 65 years and they made us a special favorite "peach" pie for that.

Always know my name and so friendly. Food is very good! Love bingo and jewelry craft.

Made a lot of friends over 4 years. Cleaning carpets more often. Get along great with staff, laugh and tease each other. They love to hear me sing! Take good care of me. Make good soup. I like my vegetables cooked less, they overcook.

Nice community, good friendly staff. I don't get any care services. Activities- like to play Euchre.

Under the current administration my experiences have all been very pleasant and feel they will continue to be even better in the future.

We find that there is accountability amongst the staff and the director at this community which overall we have been very pleased with. We do think they could improve on their activities - they could have more creative things for the residents to do that gets them up for the day and keeps them socializing with one another.

We would absolutely recommend the Independence Village of FIshers South to other families based on the experience we have had so far. They have very competitive within this type of industry. The meals and dining service is excellent, they have a full size restaurant for the residents with a full chefs service. They have so many activities for the residents to take advantage of - church services, social happy hours, field trips to go shopping, exercise classes and they have even taken the residents to go fishing.

Visited during an event they were having to see if it would be a good place for my aging mother and it was so great! The staff were all very friendly and they had live music playing that was very cool. I got a very good quick tour from one of the staff and she was very helpful and I can tell she genuinely cares about this place. All the facilities I saw looked very clean and in good condition and the rooms themselves were way better than I would have imagined. Now comes the hard part of convincing my mom that she needs a place like this, the easy part of where is already decided!

I recently attended an open house event to meet the new ED. My experience from the time I entered the property till I left was so positive. The parking lot was easy to park and walk into the facility. When I arrived I was warmly welcomed by staff and resident volunteers. There was a band playing and they were very talented and engaging. The facility was busy with residents, loved ones, staff and volunteers enjoying the band, and delicious cocktails and live chefs cooking hors de’vouevres; my favorite was the crepe station. The ED gave me a beautiful tour and informed me about the amenities and services offered. We continued through our the facility and along the way we stopped to enjoy the sweet residents enjoying them selves through out the event. The facility is beautiful, clean, smelling fresh. The food was delicious, staff friendly and programs very enjoyable. I highly recommend this facility.

The community is very safe and friendly environment. They are doing their best in such a difficult situation.

Of the places I viewed, Pinebrook was the best. But none are perfect. There is no good place. They're all understaffed. It's a matter of selecting the least worst. Cost is not favorable for any of them. The care is not as good as we had hoped for. Dining is handled by an outside temp service. You're lucky to get a fork and a napkin, and they don't have time to sit down one-on-one with anybody who needs help. There is probably 1 staff member to 20 residents. I do think this is the nicest in the area though.

After touring StoryPoint Portage for my mom I would highly recommend this senior living facility. [name removed] was extremely warm and welcoming from the start, gave us as much time as we needed for our tour and provided answers to all our questions. Even though my mom is not going to be living there at this time, I would definitely reach out to them again in the future,

My mother is 97 and currently living in an independent apartment. Although she is mostly independent, we know this will diminish with time. We were looking for a community that would allow her independence but be able to address her needs in the future. The community is lovely and we were very impressed with this being a place for my mother to retain her independence and give us comfort that she would be safe.

While visiting this facility I found it to be a lovely, well-cared-for place. Every staff person I encountered was friendly and caring. I witnessed several staff members interacting with the residents and found them to be very attentive and kind. I got to experience a meal and found it to be quite delicious. I would feel very confident in having a loved one live at this facility.

I visited a loved one at storypoint and thought the facility was really nice. The event I attended was fun and everyone seemed to enjoy it. The staff was very friendly and truly cared about my loved one.

I took my grandmother on a tour here. The staff was friendly and the facilities were very nice! Everything was clean, warm, and inviting! I highly recommend looking into storypoint for your loved ones.
