I like the care that my mom is getting here. The staff is very friendly and caring. They have nice activities , but my mom can not participate with others. The community is nice and very clean. I recommend this community for great care to others

The staff is very friendly and treats their patients with a lot of compassion and respect. There are a few areas they could work on. All in all, we are happy with our experience at Brookdale Bear Creek in Colorado Springs.

Their skilled nursing is understaffed. It is a wonderful, beautiful facility in a wonderful area. The staff is always very friendly. The food was good overall.

Had my father there for 2 weeks he passed away. We loved it he was so thrilled and loved the apartment he was going to be in Loved the staff and food was fantastic. He was very excited but had no idea he was passing away.

It is not fair for me to give a lot of judgment because I only see my loved ones twice a year, which is a good thing because they take good care of my parents. They are independent living, and the place is very responsive whenever the residents push the call-button.

The food is great and the premises are beautiful, all the staff is very good and dad has come out of his shell from coming from home to this facility, they are really caring. The only issue is communication regarding Melatonin needs at night.

This wasn't a great fit for us. They don't have any in house physical therapy, they just house you. We would have weekly meetings and at one of those they just dropped it on us. My problem with them was the price kept going up and up and up. The room itself is a couple thousand and then they add for level of care. It's a lot. It's a good place, but it just wasn't a great fit.

We used this community briefly for some respite care, and overall I thought they did a good job, but there were definitely a few things that could be improved upon. The level of care wasn't quite as high as we had hoped, there wasn't as much of an employee presence in the common areas. They could also do a much better job with the food. We also did not have a good experience with the person at the front desk, they didn't have answers when we had a question, and didn't make any effort to find someone would could help us. Overall they did a serviceable job, but it felt more like a for profit place than a caring place.

The community is clean. The staff is friendly. It’s a comparable value to other communities, but it could be better. We’re satisfied with the care services that the community offers.

My loved one was here temporarily after we moved her to this state while we looked around at different options. It was a nice enough place, and they were caring and attentive, however I felt like they relied slightly too much on medication. She always seemed sedated while she was here.

I visited here when I was looking for an assisted living place for my grandmother and I liked them. Their prices were pretty reasonable but the building was kind of outdated and the tub was not something that my grandmother would be able to get in and out of. The staff was great though. My other grand mother had lived there a few years back and we liked it then but some of the features were a little outdated now.

I think the facility has a lot of good points about it and is probably good for a lot of people. My dad's memory and his Alzheimer's were worse than we thought so it turned out to not be a good fit for him. They assured me that they were going to have someone shadowing him for the first two weeks and they didn't, he was left alone a lot. Then they wanted to put him in the memory care which is so much more money. They refunded our deposit so in all reality, they did fine. It just was not a good fit. They have beautiful grounds. It's really very pretty but I think it's more for total independent living.

We enjoyed the forum. Specially the lake view. We did not like the food. Some days were ok but mostly not tasty or low quality. Overall we liked it.

The staff are great. Food is fine-my mom likes it. Apartments are larger than other places we looked. The nurse and office personnel have been hard to communicate with. I can't get answers to questions. Especially about prices and billing. Her laundry keeps getting lost.

They hire unqualified help that don't care and not enough hires at that. The ones that do care end up with all the work. My mother was in memory care. With the money being charged for that, It's time the marketplace upgrades that type of care all the way around. They had an almost complete turnover of staff while my mother was there 5 months.

The staff was great when we got there. Then they hired a new executive manager and she got rid of so many staff members that were great. For budget cuts whatever. The food was better with the first cook when we got there. So many things changed that's why we left .

The room size is satisfactory, I had a one bedroom. The staff was friendly. Personally, I liked [community removed] better, but I would recommend the Forum

Communication was difficult between different departments. Memory care was different than the assisted living as far as participating in extra activities.

Though it's not perfect, it's by far the best place I've seen. The residents and staff are wonderful and it's a rich, caring environment.

In the [time frame removed] that my mother has been a resident there was a permanent director for only 2 months. An interim director in place for 10 months. Felt much like a rudderless ship ..still no permanent director. Lots of staff turnover in one year and many residents have moved away because of unhappiness with many aspects of the community. Food is very institutional with too many carbohydrates. As my mother's POA the requests I've made for her food are not consistently followed. Medical staff is not aware of local resources for mobile lab work and not able to direct out of states toward local medical resources. The orientation did not cover much of the rules and procedures of the community. It was up to me to "discover" much about the workings of the community.
