Gated facility. The rooms are nice. We had lunch here and it was delicious. The dining staff was friendly as well as attentive and appeared proud to serve the good food. Great folks. The staff was friendly and the residents seemed content.

The facility was clean. [Name removed] answered all my questions and showed everything I asked to see. The staff and residents were friendly. Since we are looking for respite care at this point, this is a viable option. I sensed my loved one will have good, attentive care.

Visited but did not tour. Looked very nice, but under new ownership and no longer accept less than a 30-day stay. Doesn't fit our needs.

This was a great community and I think it would be a good fit for my stepfather. The staff and activities were wonderful, and the military presence could not have been better! The facility was clean and warm feeling; I was very impressed!

I toured this facility while looking for a place for my Mom. I thought it was pretty expensive, but the upside of the community would’ve been that if my Mom needed long-term care, she would’ve had a spot. The layout of the building is very spread out and there would’ve been a lot of walking around, which I thought would be too overwhelming for her. The staff was very helpful and had higher caliber staff members, like RNs and more experienced aids. Overall, it was a nice facility but it just didn’t fit our needs.

When we first walked in, I saw that they have an open atria for eating. Its open in the middle and it goes all the way to the ceiling. Because of this it was giving my love one vertigo so it was unfortunately not a good fit for her. However the people there are super nice it was just less to her liking.

I went on a tour here and the staff was nice and helpful. They answered all of my questions. I liked it really well. It had a hotel feel with multiple levels and it was more institutional. There would have been a long walk to the dining room. I would tell families to tour as many places as possible before making a decision.

Overall, my experience at Thunderbird has been really good. The staff has been very helpful and accommodating, particularly the general manager. The food is good. I think they have a good chef here, and I feel that things have even improved since I moved in. They have a lot of activities here, and they create a brochure each month to keep everyone informed about what is going on. I especially appreciate that they have dancing here. It's a great way to get acquainted with the other residents here. I do have to park a distance away from the building, and I have had some other small issues here, but I think they are working to fix them. I would still recommend this community to others.

While looking for a place for my father, this location was recommended to me. They have nice people on their staff team. Their personnel overall is very good, fantastic even. The only thing that I didn’t like was their layout. It seemed too closed in. Their dining room is really dinky, very narrow hallways, and cramped setting. People who use walkers and wheelchairs need more space to move around so it would be more ideal to have larger hallways.

We went on a tour here and it was good. The staff was nice and helpful. They answered all of our questions. The rooms were on the smaller side and this is for my mom and dad. It was a nice and clean community just a little on the expensive side.

I toured here and even paid the deposit but by the end, the facility couldn’t provide the type of care that my Mom needed. They said they didn’t have the staff to manage someone that was wheelchair bound and they wanted more independent and mobile residents. I really wish they would've been more upfront with me because they knew from the beginning the level of care my Mom would've needed and it felt like we were strung along longer than we should've been. There wasn’t much interaction between the staff and residents from what I could see. It looked like they were more on their own. It was a beautiful building, it was big and clean, but there was limited space for memory care residents and they just didn’t seem to want to take care of someone that wasn’t very independent.

I toured here. It was nice, it’s a 2 story facility, and one of their big selling points is that you can eat any time of day you want but it didn’t seem great because most people need more of a set structure. It was a nice facility and they had a lot of amenities to provide. They have a gym available, though I don’t think that’s something that my mom would ever use. Other than that, I think they provide the same activities that a lot of other places do like crafts, movie nights, and sometimes entertainers will come in and play music for the residents. In the end, the decision really boiled down to the price and the fact that they had a waiting list so we went to a different community

I toured here when looking for a place for my dad. From what I saw, they’re very nice. It feels more like a home than an institution. When I was visiting, they were in the middle of a remodel so I didn’t get a great picture of what it would look like once it was done. The staff was very nice, the residents seemed very happy, and location wise it’s very close distance Belmar's shopping area so people can get out and walk to restaurants, shops and a Whole Foods. They sent us home with some homemade bread and olive oil and it was delicious. The price is on the higher end and it was more difficult for me to get there from my house, which is why we ultimately wound up going somewhere else, but it was in our top two favorite places.

The Oaks was nice, the residents all seemed to be enjoying what they were doing. Some were playing cards, coloring in the memory care unit. The assisted living section had a nice clean smell, although the memory care unit smelled of urine. That bothered me. [Removed] was professional and thorough. I did like the option of having my mother's current caregiver able to still care for my mom. That's the first time I had heard of that. I will share the info with my brother.

My father-in-law is at this community and he really likes it and settling right in. I only have one request for the caregivers or staff to always call me first before they do anything for him, and they are working on that. They come in and clean and do his laundry. The food is good and he has a choice of the main meal or a variety of other things to order. The staff is nice and caring. Once he makes more friends he will join in on the activities. It has a real nice courtyard area with 4 fireplaces which dad loves. I would recommend this to my friends and family.

I love that Village Park has very organized management and an excellent staff that is very synchronized and communicative. I feel that their management coherence is really the key to their success. I think that the food is good as well, and they do well gearing their food to the resident’s needs. When I visit, I see that activity director the residents in various things, and I think they do a good job keeping everyone involved in the crafts, group games, music, and other activities. The people have been exceptional at Vintage Park, and I’d definitely recommend the community for that reason.

We toured Broadway while looking for living options for my mother-in-law. My wife and I really liked Broadway, and we appreciated that they had several levels of care that my mother-in-law would be able to move into as her needs progress. However, my mother-in-law found it to be too large and too institutional for her tastes. She wanted something more comfortable, and because the decision is really hers, we ultimately chose another community.

I think the activities are great – [Removed] and [Removed] do an outstanding job.

This community is nice and clean. The staff was helpful when I asked questions. The ground were nice and they had nice activities. We didn't choose this one due to the distance, to far for us.

Very pleasant, they have been making some major renovations, really has made a huge difference.
