I am very happy with this community. the staff are great and seeing the other residents so happy and cheerful is wonderful. He is very happy with the meals. They have a lot of great activities for him to participate in. We would highly recommend the care and the value for other families here.

When we toured the Broadway Proper Retirement Community, we really liked it! It was by far the best community that we toured and everything about it was great. The reason we had to chose another community is because they did not have the level of care that my mother-in-law needed at the time.

Mom mother has lived at North Star for almost three years. We love the place and she loves living there. It has become her home and her extended family. She has a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment with a deck. The apartment has plenty of storage with a large closet in each bedroom and two more large walk in storage closets. The food is fantastic, you can order what ever you like and I have yet to have bad meal there. Try the Steak! My mom is very social and loves going to Bingo, Bridge, Bible Study, Social Hour (with adult beverages), Soft soccer, Trips to softball games, The Casino, Lunch, Dinner and more. You can be as active and social as you like or as little as you like, it works both ways. North Star has a bright, friendly and inviting atmosphere. When I visit my mom after work, it brightens my day just walking into the building, everyone says hi, and walking down the hall to her room where everyone has decorated their door and shelf with personal items or for the latest Holiday. I love North Star and hope they have room for me when the time comes to leave my home.

We would, and have, recommended North Star to other families looking for a quality retirement community for a family member. The staff is friendly and helpful. Our family member has been living at North Star for a few years and has made many friends and enjoys the activities provided. The food is very good and the kitchen is always willing to accommodate any dietary issues.

My parents are very happy with their move to this community. The food is terrific and the staff is more than willing to go above and beyond. My father accidently slept with the life alert and set it off and they were quick to get there. The maintenance does a good job when we need something they are quick to respond.

First let me start by saying placing a loved one in assisted living, rest homes, or any other option is not an easy time for families. My sister is now starting to get used to not being in her home, and having a new future living in a unfamiliar location. We have been very Happy with how her move to Olive Grove has come along. The staff has been good with her and her needs and she knows them all by name and has not had any problems. My experience with the Managers [Removed] has been very helpful and they have taken time to help my sister even when she had some tough days of treatments or long days of doctor apptmnts. We haven't finished getting her room where she wants it, but my sister has had nothing but good things to say about the staff and people she chooses to interact with. I can't be easy for anyone to find themselves placed in a new environment, and if the families aren't checking on them I can see where they can get down or unhappy. But the staff has been very good at making my sisters life as easy and comfortable as possible, which is certainly appreciated by both my sister and myself. I find that it's the patients State caregivers that can make or break the way a person feels emotionally and that can affect the way a person gets used to their new surroundings. I thank the good lord each day for how this event has been made so much easier for me as a family member. The Olive Grove Facility has been a great bonus for us, and my sister is starting to thrive more as she builds her strength, and the staff learns her needs and gets to know her better. She has nothing bad to say about the food, the staff, or any of the main issues she faces each day. Like I say, it can't be easy for the person, and even more difficult for a staff person the have such a wide variety temperments and emotional struggles of the people they care for. We like our choice and Olive Grove is her home now and one of the best of the alternatives we were shown. beautiful facility. Mom thought it was too grand for her taste. I thought it might bee too large a facility. May be too frightening for her to find the elevator or get to dining room. But staff and residents seemed happy and friendly.

My mom has been at Olive Grove in the memory care facility for the past 17 months. She has Alzheimer's. We (all of my mom's children) are so very happy she is there. The first place my mom was in was a disaster. I won't go into details, other than to say it was a bad experience. We feel it was divine intervention that brought us to Olive Grove. Honestly! That may sound a little out there, but we fully feel she was meant to be there. The care givers are the best! Hands down, a night and day difference from where my mom had been prior to Olive Grove. They are friendly and personable, and very accommodating. All of the staff have been excellent. Memory care is not easy. However I find that the care givers and staff are on top of all things, handling what ever arises, and treating these very special residents with great care and dignity. The food is of good variety and quality. When visiting, on my way in I pass thru the lobby of the assisted living side of Olive Grove. Often there are residents reading and relaxing there and I chat briefly or sometimes for half an hour with some of them. They are always quite pleasant and I have not heard any complaints from any of them. My experience however, and that of my siblings, is with the memory care side. The memory care unit at Olive Grove is not the Taj Mahal. But the CARE, which is the most important, is excellent! (they are currently renovating and updating the rooms) We feel our mom is safe there, as well as happy there. We visit at various times of the day, morning, noon and night, and the level of care and attention is consistent. We can easily highly recommend Olive Grove memory care for your loved one. If I had to complain... I wish they would not serve sugary drinks. Mom is happy. And she's safe. The peace of mind is priceless. Thanks so much to all of you at Olive Grove!

I am happy with the care that is given here in this nice community. The staff is caring and friendly to his needs. We have had other friends in this community for the great care that is given. The food is outstanding and the variety is nice. They do have a lot of activities and small trips for the residents. We highly recommend the care and the value here to other families.

I am very happy with the care at this community. The staff is nice and caring. They do offer nice activities. I like the music that is offered here. The meals are very good and a nice variety is offered. They keep it very clean and maintained. I would highly recommend the care and value for other families.

The entire staff is very accommodating, pleasant and personable. They teamed together to create the ideal solution for my mother-in-law which definitely helped make her decision easier.

It is still an adjustment and the staff are wonderful and helpful. She loves their food it is really good. She is doing much better. She did go to happy hour once and listened to a guy play the guitar. She loves eating and talking with the ladies. She is trying hard with her therapy to get much better. They all provide very good care. They are girls that my loves and they go over and beyond for her.

My mom just moved in a month ago and the staff have been pleasant and she is happy with all of them. Housekeeping does a good job keeping her room clean, no issues. The activities are fine and there has been a lot of nice ones for the holidays. The meals could use more fiber in it. So far the lunches are better than the dinners. She is overall doing fine here.

They very nicest place we saw. Much like a cruise ship, without the water! We couldn't believe how beautiful, clean, well appointed & comfortable it is. In addition, we found the staff most friendly & helpful!

I toured this community for the care of my father. The staff was very helpful with answering the questions we had. We were not able to see the menu that is offered. They do have activities for those who want to participate. I would recommend this community for the nice care, but the value was more than what we were wanting at the time.

My mother moved into the Courtyard at Jamestown just before Thanksgiving 2016 and seems quite happy there. It is a beautiful facility. The staff is very friendly and helpful and there are so many activities offered covrering many interests. She doesn't need any extra care so I can't evaluate the medical staff. The atmosphere is very positive. Lunch meals are the nicest of the day. The others are acceptable but nothing special. Church meetings are held in the facility. It's very helpful to have so many activities on site so she doesn't have to go outside in the cold. So far this seems like a great choice.

My 92 year old mother recently moved to Farrington Court. The experience, from our first inquiry to present, has been nothing short of exceptional. The management & employees are caring & customer serving. The food is exceptional, the rooms are large, the facility is well kept, the residents are happy. What a wonderful place. Christina & Alex go above & beyond. I’m so pleased to have my mother at Farrington Court.

From what I see the community is clean and keeping my dad's room clean with housekeeping and it helps me out. He is happy and says he is going to see the workout room, watches movies, and socializing with the resident. Happy hour is every Friday. We have eaten there and dad likes the meals. He gets 2 meals, breakfast and lunch or dinner and gets anything he wants, like standard choices or special of the day. They help me out by taking him to appointments. It must be schedule a week ahead within 10 miles and I have not missed work but they could use more drivers. Walgreens also deliver medication daily.The location was ideal because we have a big family and we can easily pick him on the way to anything and still get home on a decent time.

My mom is doing very well and adjusting. We did run into a small problem with a caretaker's technique, she apologized but I am keeping track. The community well kept and clean. The staff are very friendly. What help acclimated our choice was when they offered us a meal on our tour. It is very good. Now mom's only disappointment is not being able to get over easy eggs for breakfast, only scrambled. She loves the wheelchair exercise class, it's 5 days a week. It's within her physical range and they support each other, it's uplifting and they clap for each other. They really put on nice outdoor activities like a harvest festival. It was wonderful with a BBQ and petting zoo, they put bunnies on laps and had a cowboy on a horse singing. They created a homey atmosphere.

I would recommend the North Star community to a friend because my loved one is having a great experience there. The staff is wonderful. They offer a variety of activities and outings for the residents. The dining room is beautiful, it has a fancy restaurant feel to it. The meals offered are nutritious and in good portions. The room she is in fits her needs well, she loves the fact that she has her own balcony.
