This was an okay community. They wouldn't take my loved one due to prior medical notes. I felt it was more of a sales pitch by the community for occupancy. Basic needs are meet for the resident.

The facility itself is nice. Many of the residents are very kind. Some of the staff lack some kindness, but I know that's with all facilities. The CNAs need more training. They tell the residents that they ring the bell too much, which is frustrating. Mom often has to wait 20 to 30 minutes after hitting the call button for assistance. For the price we're paying, I feel there should be better quality in services and access to services for the patients. Communication with the family is not great. They're going through some staff shortages. I can tell you that when a resident falls, the family isn't always contacted. The food is ok, quality is pretty good but variety not as much. They do housekeeping weekly and it's not very thorough. Common areas are very clean, but cleaning of the rooms could be much better. The only thing they actually provide is meals. Everything else is up to the family, as far as personal care necessities and basic things. For convenience and proximity only, I would recommend them.

Only complaints really have to say is that dad says the food is not good, he is not happy with it or the options.

The staff is really good. There has been, staff turnover in the kitchen area, in which they are short on waitresses. It takes a long time for someone to take orders and takes a long time to get the food. Overall, it's a very friendly place, with alot of activities, and nice staff. If they did not have, kitchen issues then it would be a perfect place.

It's been a really good experience. It has been a good transition, from independent to asstisted living. They have a good team of healthcare and physical therapy people. They provide transportaion to and from doctors visits. They have been very good with communicating via text or phone. They take time to help, you understand and lets you ask questions. I have had questions about billing, and they helped me to understand and have fixed any issues.

Guide ready on time. Discussion in office with Q + A before tour. Tour inclusive all areas - sales director very knowledgeable.

Our family had an in person tour and the tour was nice it was a nice looking community but we just did not see like any residents there and we just got the sense it would not be the best fit for our loved one

Our loved one was there for about [dates removed[ and he was very challenging for them but they absolutely did their best in handling the situation. If your loved one is still capable of doing things somewhat on their own this would be a nice community for them

When you have to make the hardest decision of your life, put your loved one in the hands of a team that will do their very best. I've had several conversations will every level of staff there and it has been pleasant and productive. Myself and my Mom have felt heard and have seen changes made accordingly. [name removed], the director and [name removed], the head of nursing are absolutely amazing and very responsive to any need and/or concern.

This was a very good community with great staff. The building was older.

I really liked Creekside at Three Rivers - it is a very nice looking facility. I came to tour by myself and then brought my friend that we were looking for. She just did not feel as comfortable and welcomed as she did at another facility that we had looked at previously. There was nothing wrong with the facility or staff, it just came down to how she felt.

We chose Harbison Shores because the location is close to my home and also my mom needs a lot of natural light and they had a room with a balcony where she can go outside whenever she wants. The rooms here overall are also larger than others we saw, she is in a one bedroom and has a sliding glass door that walks out to her balcony. I would definitely recommend them to others.

This was good community. This community was further from family and friends than we wanted.

As far as how they handle my loved one and the nursing staff, they are really good. I haven't been pleased with their handling of messages and follow ups regarding care for my loved one. I know it has a lot to do with new people coming in, shortages in the work force, and the inability to get people in who are trained and motivated. There's not enough staff in key areas, which is a direct result of the environment we're in right now. Some of these things are beyond their control. The people who are good are also trying to take care of other stuff outside of their own responsibilities. The director is good and the nurses I deal with are great, but there are a few positions that don't follow up. I'm not saying that's the case for everyone there; but there have been a few things they were supposed to take care of that didn't get done. I have talked to them about it and it has improved so far.

Everybody is short handed right now and it is hard to keep people working. They are doing the best that they can here under the difficult circumstances of the world right now. Overall I would still recommend Seagrass Village of Port Orange to others looking, I even recommended it to another family members.

Village Veranda is an excellent facility. It basically has end of life capability and Medicaid capability. Only thing I found is when trying to get responses from the people who deal with medications, doctors and transportation can be an issue. For example: right now we're trying to get my loved ones prescription moved over from Walgreens to the Village Veranda system. We filled out all the necessary paperwork and there's been no replies to the emails and calls we've sent - it can be kind of frustrating at times.

We went with Cariad at North Brook mostly because it really had more of a homey feel to it and was not commercialized. It is a smaller facility and the one on one care seemed to be better. The staff has been really friendly and helpful. They respond promptly to emails as well. Sometimes when you talk to them they listen but you can tell they are very busy. Dad does complain about their being a lack of variety on the menu and sometimes the food is served cold so I think they could improve there. Overall I would definitely recommend them to others.

Our loved one is super happy with the activities, she is constantly busy. They have happy hours, trivia nights. Once a week they have live entertainment come in. We would recommend them to other families.
