The Pointe at Ocean Boulevard in Stuart, Florida is my "home" in all ways. I have been a resident for about 5 years and it provides everything that I ever need to keep me happy and busy. I love being able to be outside when I open my front door and not a long dark hallway! Good friends and good food and a caring staff. It is tops!

So very beautiful! We loved our tour and brought friends on a second visit to entice them when the time comes. A little early yet but we have toured 5 other residences and NONE compare to Canterfield. You are our first choice when the time comes but I feel it’s good to start searching early. We are 72 and reality begins to sink in that you cannot maintain a place forever AND need companionship and events to keep your mind working . You have everything.

We had a wonderful visit and the facility is full of life. I noted that the caregivers were attentive to the residents and walked around with smiles on their faces. Despite the fact that we trying to work things out with my mother's insurance company, (long-term care) we are still considering it as an option. After visiting 3 other facilities in the last two weeks, the Villas has everything else that we are looking for; attentive staff, smiling faces, activities, great menu, and a small enough facility that it feels more like a home. Those are just a few of the things that made an impression on me.

I am very pleased with my new home at The Village at SouthLake. My apt. is spacious and suits my needs perfectly. The other residents are very friendly as are the staff. There are numerous activities to choose from and I have tried out several. But there is no pressure to join or do anything if you choose not to. I have found the food very tasty and there are alternatives available if you don't care for what is on the menu I am very pleased with my choice and I did look at several others. I have a few concerns but they are minor. Any problems I have had have been addressed immediately. I would definitely recommend considering this facility. I think you would be pleased.

I recently toured the Personal Care community with my mother and friend, and we were very impressed with what we saw! The touring director was a gracious, clear and patient guide. Even though my mother is not ready to shift to AL just yet - if and when the time comes, The Villas will be our first choice!

I've been trying to move my father out of his home for several years. He's been living at the Independent Living for several months and absolutely loves it! He used to just sit and watch tv all day, now he goes on outings, plays bridge, attends social activities and raves about the food. It's like my dad has a reason to get ready in the morning again. I feel like I have my dad back. Thank you to the wonderful staff and residents at Villas for being so kind and caring!

My grandmother lived at Elmcroft and we were so glad we made the decision for her to call it home. The staff treated her like family and after she passed, we learned that she shared so many of her stories with them. We knew she loved them as well. It wasn't easy making the decision for assisted living, we were feeling guilty about taking her from her home, but she thrived. She loved going out with her new friends to restaurants and she even enjoyed the live music and wine! Her cat moved in too, so she found it to feel more like home and soon, it truly was her home. Thanks to the team at Elmcroft for making it happen.

My mother recently moved into an apartment in their Independent Living building, and we couldn't be happier with our experience thus far. The building is beautiful and clean, there are a number of different amenities offered and everybody that we have spoken with has welcomed us with open arms and treated us like family. It was hard for my mother to finally decide to leave her home. However, after only living in this community for a short period of time, she is 100% happy with the decision that she made.

I only have very positive things to say about all members of the staff. Each person is well educated and of the best personality for memory care. They treat my wife with respect and understanding. I also observed this caring attitude with other residents in memory care. The office staff and leaders are easy to work with and care about a quality environment.

My mother has been at the Village at Southlake for 6 months now, and she has had an incredibly smooth transition into the new community. The staff are warm and helpful, they offer many activities that she enjoys, and she has made fast friends with a number of the residents. Compared to living at home and feeling responsible for maintaining and then selling a house, her apartment life eliminated many stresses and her tendency to overdo. Initially she was emphatic about needing a two bedroom but has settled into her one bedroom and found that it meets her needs. She has minor complaints about menu preferences and has a few suggestions for improving the facility or the schedule of activities. I think she also didn't realize the transportation to doctor's appointments would be as limited as it is. But all in all it's been a life-changing, quality-of-life improving move.

Great place for my loved one. Very pleased,never knew of it, untill I called a place for MOM.

I've been very happy with The Village at Southlake. Dad is very comfortable and is maintaining his independence. He needed to be around other people his age, who were also independent and the Village was the best choice. He now has puzzle and card buddies, 3 meals a day if he chooses, and once a week cleaning and bedding changes. Basically, it's the items he was having challenges with as a 90 year old, but he can still drive and do his own thing when he wants to.

[Name removed] was great and disclosed & answered all our questions. The facility is very clean and we were able to speak to a few residents and staff. I was impressed with the Movie Theater and table cloth dining room with a grand piano for entertainment while residents eat. I wish I looked at places like this when my mom was alive. Would highly recommend.

[name removed] was a very gracious host, and accommodated a change in schedule time to help us reduce traveling time in the Panama City area. She showed us what she was available in the complex and shared a lot of good information. The facility is a three-story building, but each apartment in single level. There were two elevators, one at each end, and a nursing station on each floor. We met several employees and everyone was very nice. The apartments were clean, the common area was nice, and the facility looked well maintained. However, we have decided that we prefer independent living to assisted living and this facility did not offer an independent living option.

Loved this facility. Clean, secure, and the Memory Care wing had an outside area that the residence could use freely that I liked. Nice home like feel to common areas.

My husband and I loved Brookdale Charleston and believe it will be perfect for my mother. We are taking her there Friday for a visit. A couple of the residents gave great testimony of their experiences there as well. Will give more feedback after her visit!

This place is really nice. Everyone I saw looked happy. I think this will be the place we place mom. The activities they say they do would be great for mom.

Nice rooms, clean and neat. Friendly staff.
