Spring Arbor Senior Living

Staff were great. Food was what you'd expect in a senior community but overall better than average. Lots of menu options. Nice variety of activities. The facility was nice but sort of middle of the road. Nothing fancy or palatial like some are today. But certainly clean and welcoming. I felt they were very accommodating.

The food is good, the staff is very caring. There are a lot of celebrations and activities. The express pharmacy is a great service, taking care of insurance and everything. There is furniture and bedding available if you don't bring your own. They made an extra effort to keep him in assisted living rather than memory care so he has more freedom.

5 My mother is very comfortable in her apartment! The staff is great and it is a very clean and welcoming senior living facility. I would absolutely recommend them to others who are needing to find a place for their loved one.

I would rate 5 for all of the above. They were wonderful. The place was always clean, the food always looked delicious and the staff were so friendly. You could tell they loved mom even though she could be a little spicy at times. I would absolutely refer Spring Arbor to anyone.

All 5. Everyone very nice and accommodating. There might be a glitch here or there because people are human, but I have no complaints. If you have someone who is diabetic, you might let them know there isn't a diabetic menu as such (not that Iva would pick from it if there were, so it’s a moot point for her). However, they do have a varied menu, so someone who wants to watch their diet should be able to do so. They cheerfully transport Iva to her doctor appointments and come get her promptly when I text them she is finished. There are lots of activities, and the staff have always been quick to let me know if Iva needs anything or isn't feeling well and they think she needs something (different medication, physical therapy, whatever). Iva likes it there because "They leave me alone " (I.e. they let her live her life as she wants to, which is a great boon when you get old!)

The accommodations are very nice, the grounds are beautiful and well maintained especially as it is tucked back in the woods. The staff are all very friendly and refer to my FIL by name. His first day there they had a little welcome set up and it felt like every staff person stopped by to say hi and introduce themselves. Then they all left but we had no ideas of the "rules" of the facility. Like what time are meals, are family allowed to join for meals, how do we change his doctor over, do we need to sign in and out, etc. I found out that they lock the front door at 6 PM only by setting off the alarm when I tried to leave. He's been there six weeks now and we still don't know how the shuttle to the store works or if there really is one. These are all things I feel could be resolved with a simple orientation upon arrival/signing and a list of who we can contact if we have questions.

Both my uncle and I who picked out the place for my Grandma, we really liked [name removed] and [name removed]. How friendly and down to earth they were with all the residents. When we toured the place they treated the residents like people instead of a number.

The staff are great to work with. If you have any concerns, there's always somebody that can help. They always have activities to keep my dad occupied and happy.

Received 2 recommendations and one was exactly the location we needed. From our initial visit, the staff was available & helpful with every question & detail that we had. Every visit I've made, the facility was clean, orderly & residents smiling.

Absolutely a 5! Spring Arbor is wonderful. We highly recommend it. We love and miss the staff there.

It was such a gift finding the Shores of Lake Phalen for my loved ones. From the great leadership exemplified by the Executive Director, to the exemplary care overseen and administrated by the Director of Nursing & support staff, I know my family members are in the best hands possible. Without a doubt, my grandma’s quality of life was enhanced by moving to The Shores of Lake Phalen, and I am beyond thankful to all the caregivers. The Director of Community Relations goes above-and-beyond for the residents, and I don’t think you could find the same devotion and genuine care at any other site. Thank you, Shores of Lake Phalen!

Love this place! Everyone is so friendly. They keep you well informed on any changes they make on the patient!

First of all, Dominion is more like homey feeling and design of building is very updated. Interiors are nice and the tenants get own private rooms. One negative is no insurance so each resident has to pay own money. It's not cheap but staff are very helpful. They also provide 3 meals a day and setting is like restaurant, cloth napkins and utensils. Even residents can make mess but they clean up so well. They have 24 hours caregivers or assistance.

Affordable, good staff, nice apartments good food. Lots of activities. My parents have been there for two months. They have received good quality care. They have all the amenities they need in their apartment. I visit them after and the staff has always been friendly ans accommodating to our needs. We are pleased with our decision to move them there.

Spring Arbor is a wonderful, clean and cheerful environment that feels like home. However, the kindness and excellent communication from staff is what makes it a great option when family members start to need more help.

The staff here go above and beyond to ensure residents are enjoying life and well taken care of. And I have never seen it anything less than pristine. When I am visiting I always see several moments between staff and residents that warm my heart. The Director of Activities, [name removed], also takes time to make sure the residents get out and have fun! I love it here and feel grateful to have found it.

I have other family members in assisted living centers and all family that visit mom say the same thing. Everyone here is so helpful, pleasant, talkative, smiling and my mom cant say enough about the care, compassion, therapy and community she has had at Spring Arbor! The leadership has been phenomenal in helping navigate the complexities of my mom’s diagnosis and have been supportive not only of her but of me as an only child who has always been extremely close to my single parent mom. I know that my God put Spring Arbor in my path and can’t thank Him or them enough!

I appreciated the help of staff to answer questions about the facility and the options available. My grandmother has appeared to have settle in well and has already enjoyed some of the facilities planned activities and events, which is a huge improvement from her prior activity level. This was a very difficult, but needed decision for my family to make. I am thankful for the information provided by [name removed] and the help in the transition during this process.

I would definitely recommend to others and have already done that. The staff is very caring. Like the smaller environment and the activities they provide.
