Spectrum Retirement

We began looking for a place for my Mom to live in Dec 2015. We had visited several communities in the area. Most of them were acceptable, but nothing set them apart from one or the other. Then we came to Lombard Place. From the moment we walked into the facility we felt right at home. We moved mom in the first week of Jan 2016 and I must say it was the best move we could have made for my Mom. I mentioned that the other facilities were okay, but something separated Lombard Place from the rest.....well that was the staff at Lombard Place. The treat the residents with respect and dignity. They treat each resident as if it was their own loved one. Regardless of the position hat they hold at Lombard Place they all have a role in caring for your loved one. My mom started out in the assisted living area of Lombard Place. The level of care was great, From activities that they plan in house to activities that they plan and develop away from Lombard Place is exceptional. they have weekly outing for lunches to shopping trips, to plays. There is always something happening to keep the residents engaged. They mix a lot of activates with wonderful organizations like Schools and boy/girl scout troops to other performers that they bring in. mom has dementia and eventually we had to move her to the memory care unit. I was very concerned about the transition, but [Removed] are there for you to make the transition seamless. Once we moved Mom to memory care, I really got a chance to see how exceptional the staff is. Not to take away the level of care and support that your loved one receives in assisted living, but the staff in the memory care unit is incredible. Mom's level of care did not dimension. I would like to let you know that staff is truly what sets Lombard Place apart form everyone else. Mom was in the hospital and they had staff come visit her on their own time, not because they had to but because they wanted to. When Mom moved to Memory Care the staff from Assisted Living has come to visit mom after working their normal shift. To me that is incredible and speaks volumes to what was told to us when we came in for our first tour. The staff are not hired for a job, but rather have a passion and calling for the work that they do. I AGREE 100%. Not one single individual is working a job. They are all there because it is their passion to want to help and support the residents. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND LOMBARD PLACE!

The caregivers at Peakview really care for the residents and treat everyone with individual respect and kindness. You know you're in a good place when everyone knows your name and says hi with a genuine smile.

This was a beautiful facility, and I liked the way the all dining was set up. This would be perfect for my parents, who are late risers. The pricing is good. They only concern that I have, is that they will not accept Medicaid in the event my parents’ funds are depleted.

I like this community for the great care that is received from the night staff. We like that they are always attentive. The community is clean and maintained inside and the outside. The menu is very good and I like knowing that she is happy with the menu. The activities have been wonderful for her to be able to be active with the other residents. We would recommend the care and value of this care for other families.

I toured this community for my mother's care. The staff were very nice and able to answer the questions we had on the care given. The rooms were private and very nice. They offer a nice variety of good meals. They would of offered nice activiites for her to participate. We would recommond this community to other families

Beautiful Facility! Our Tour was conducted by [Removed] who was wonderful - very accommodating and extremely knowledgeable. Residents and staff were very friendly. Looks like it may be a fit for Mom!

We toured this community for care. The staff were nice and able to answer the questions we had. The community was clean. They do offer activites for the residents. Families might want to consider a tour of this community for the care that is offered to see if this is what they are looking for.

They are great and work with you. They have activities going on all day.If you're bored, it's your own fault! Things are going very well.

I am happy with knowing that my mom is in a good community with good care. We like the staff who are caring and friendly. My mom likes the nice menu with the good variety of healthy foods. They have activities for the residents that want to participate. We would recommend this community for the care of a loved one

Selected this community - it is WONDERFUL!!!

I was looking for a facility in Kansas for my mother, who was living in Virginia. This establishment was able to answer all my questions and meet mother's needs. She moved last Friday and what a difference from her past assisted living facility! The nursing staff are responsive and keep her busy, so she does not feel lonely. The facility is clean, attractive, and the food is good. Glad I made the decision to move her near me.

We toured this community and it was bigger then what we were needing. It did not have day care . The staff were help. They have nice clean community. They offer activities for the residents who waout like to participate. The meals seems appealing. The staff were very nice and helpful to answer the questions we had. I recommend other families to tour this nice community.

This a lovely community,and my parents are extremely pleased with their move to this community. It has been a huge left off of them, and myself. I do feel they do a safe, and great hands. They are receiving great care, and everything is working out very well. It is a big win for everybody. This is a community I would one hundred percent recommend to my friends, and family. It is a great place.

Amazing place to live! Warm and friendly staff. Beautiful private apartment like rooms with small kitchen areas. Many daily activities and social engagements. Exquisite dining room and excellent food. Personal aides and Medical assistance on site for an additional fee. My mother lived here for 3 years and was treated with love and compassion. I will be eternally grateful to my Homestead family for everything they did for her in her final years.

My mom was not open to moving to a senior residence, thus I spent months looking for the perfect place she would love. She needed some care, but not necessarily full assisted living. Shawnee Hills offered an independent lifestyle for her, but is also able to provide the medication management she needed through a third party contract . The people there are great, very accommodating, and we have the option of additional care as it becomes necessary. Her apartment is cute, and she just admitted yesterday that it's starting to feel like home. She's been there less than a week, so that is great to hear! Thank you for helping us find the perfect place for Mom!

I have been at the Homestead at Hickory View many times. My initial visit was to visit my Mother and Father In Law when they lived there. What a warm, friendly and homey environment. The staff was so pleasant and caring. It didn't take long to feel as if they were part of our family. Although my Mother and Father In Law are no longer with us, I still stop by and am greeted with the same smiles. We still reminisce about our favorite memories and share new stories and experiences.

The Homestead at Hickory View is a home like community were everyone is looking out for each other. Even the residents. The atmosphere is living at its finest. The dinning is excellent, the food is very good and there are so many choices. The administration really cares about the needs of those people who have chose to live in the community.

I haven't heard any bad reports from my sister since my parents move to this community. So far everything is working out well. They are enjoying their time, and we know they are safe, and in a good place. My father loves the food, and that's a plus. Overall this community has worked out well for my family, and I would recommend it.

We moved my dad into Memory Care at Cedar Lakes in August of 2015. My dad quickly adjusted to his new home and enjoyed the welcome of some wonderful staff and residents. He loved his room and enjoyed many of the activities and the memory care unit is truly beautiful. He enjoyed the out door courtyard and playing the piano, Unfortunately as his dementia/Alzheimer's progressed my dad needed more care than assisted living. We really hate to have to move dad because he has been so happy . Now that he needs skilled care nursing we begin a new chapter. Cedar Lakes was a sweet respite from the challenges we faced when dealing with my dad's memory issues .
