The staff were all friendly, the activities director made efforts to reach out to my mom for all of the activities, the manager of the unit did a nice job of supervising the staff, the director was accessible and followed up. The facility was always clean and the lady who cleaned the rooms was friendly and talked to my mom. The residents were given access to the deck whenever they wanted to go outside. Moving in was easy and they were very accommodating when we moved out after she died. There was always a choice for lunch and dinner. I liked that the facility wasn't too big and there was a choice about room size. We liked the facility a lot.

My sister and I recently toured Palos Senior Living Community in search of an independent living apartment for our mother. Our experience with Palos was extremely positive. The sales director who gave us the tour, was well informed, answered all of our questions, and provided valuable information. Palos appeared pristine, very neat, clean, and orderly. The space was laid out well, including the entrance lobby, dining and activity areas, and 1 bedroom apartment. We encountered several residents that seemed to enjoy their lives at Palos.

What a beautiful Community!! Clean and spacious with a lot to offer, & a wonderful staff. We really enjoyed seeing everything. I would be very happy with my parents living here. Definitely worth your time to check it out!!

I couldn’t be more grateful for how well my dad has been taken care of. He’s had some considerable cognitive decline recently, but is still wanting to walk on a daily basis. The staff have helped to provide the least restrictive set up that still has appropriate support. The staff have been patient with him even with some of his odd behavior. The facility is beautiful and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. My dad loves the food. So far Dougherty Ferry has been a home run.

The entire Westview facility both indoors and out is bright, open and clean! The accommodations have plenty of storage space and the windows provide lots of natural light. The kitchen is ample and has a full size refrigerator and microwave. We chose the apartment layout with bathroom access from both the entryway and the bedroom and have been very pleased. The front desk is always staffed with friendly ladies and after hours calls are picked up immediately! The restaurant has a wide selection of menu items and is available during the range of hours they are open for each sitting. This is a dramatic change for the better compared to the last residence!

It is bright and inviting here and I am content. The staff really friendly and accommodating.

Based on our experience so far, Crestview Senior Living is a nice community, with nice people at a decent price.

Our loved one moved to another facility, but the Dougherty Ferry Assisted Living community was a nice place, with nice people at a decent price.

Food could be a little better. Wait times could greatly improve. I would like more excursions for them. When we took a your of the facility we were very impressed by the cleanliness of the facility. The staff go out of their way to help the residents and visitors. My parents take advantage of the fun activities and religious meetings provided by nearby churches. The food is good (not as flavorful as they would like) and the wait times could improve. We would recommend this community to other families.

My sister and I were able to move our mother from Arkansas to Westbrook in October 2023. Due to our mother’s diagnoses of Parkinson and Dementia, she was still able to be admitted into the assisted living facility. Not long thereafter, mom’s condition deteriorated and we had to move her into the memory care unit. This was not an easy process. However, [name removed] and her staff were so kind and understanding that they made the transaction very doable. Several weeks later, mom had to be admitted into hospice. Two weeks later she passed. Westbrook staff of [names removed] could not have been any more sympathetic, understanding and helpful to mom and our families needs. Mom was treated by the nurses and the nursing aides like our mom was their mom. They bathed her, made sure she received her meds, made sure she was comfortable and cried with us when mom passed away. From the first day we walked in the door and every time thereafter we felt like we were home.

I moved our of Las Soleras a year ago. I really enjoyed my stay there. Friendly people, excellent meals, nice surroundings. I may go back at some point.

We moved my Dad to the Oaks earlier this year when his needs become too much for another facility. The staff is compassionate and communicative as my Dad and my family deals with his new reality. The place is spotless and the staff is professional. I would recommend everyone do thier due diligence when finding a place for your loved one. We did and our happy with our choice.

Burr Ridge feels like an apartment or condominium complex rather than a “facility”. That was very important for our mom as she moved from the house she & my dad built over 58 years ago! Everyone we’ve encountered at Burr Ridge has been extremely nice & helpful. Mom is enjoying the food & activities. She even had a group of friends that she sits with at nightly meals. The only complaint mom has had is that the dining room seti e is short staffed so it takes quite a while after ordering the meal to receive it. But considering it’s such a huge lifestyle change, if this is the only concern then we are very pleased!

The staff was amazing. They were attentive and compassionate. They were cheerful and friendly and seemed to enjoy being there! My whole family was very impressed and pleased with Palos Heights Senior Living and your organization! Also, A Place For Mom alerted me to a VA benefit I was able to secure for my mom based on my father's military service.

Very nice facility. Staff is very nice, very clean and the residents all get along well.

I would say the experience with Westbrook was wonderful and everyone was helpful and kind. And nothing has changed since my mom has moved in - still very helpful and personable.

I would definitely recommend Palmilla to others. However, I have no experience with other facilities. This was the only one we toured and chose it principally because it is located very close to our son & family and we were impressed by the decor and cleanliness we observed. Also, they had available an apartment of the size and amenities we wanted.

Any place that has staff members that have worked there since the place opened must be doing something right. She is enjoying the food and activities, and has been well taken care of by the staff. Assisted Living allows pets, and was much larger than other places she visited.

My mom is a resident at Shawnee Hills Senior Living and she is very happy there. I have dealt with [name removed] the most and she is amazing. She knows everyone's name and she makes a point to go socialize with the residents. The food is good, they have a menu and you order what you want like a restaurant. The facilities are well kept and clean. Overall, the entire process was smooth and everyone is friendly. The facility is amazing.
