In 2025 I decided to return to San Antonio to live. I visited several independent living communities. I toured the Waterford Thousand Oaks and was very impressed but I thought I should checked others which I did but I was drawn back to Waterford Thousand Oaks as the atmosphere was so joyful. I moved in 20 months ago and have enjoyed each and every day. My apartment is very comfortable and large. We have enjoyed the activities that our great activity director has for each day everything from bingo (3) different types; art; out of community activities like movies, museums, luncheons and many other activities. We are fortunate to have a great leader and assistant leader. The waitstaff is great. If we need to go somewhere our bus driver is excellent so caring and the remaining staff is number one in my eyes. I am so thankful I I had the good fortune to be able to move here. Thanks to the fantastic team that made me feel so safe and welcomed. I was also fortunate to meet my husband here.

The apartment works well for [name removed]. Just a perfect amount of room. They always invite [name removed] to all the activities, even if he does decline. I would recommend this community to others.

I visit a number of residents at North Pointe Assisted Living, and I’m consistently struck by how welcoming the environment feels from the moment you walk through the door. Director [name removed] and her staff lead with kindness, attentiveness, and a commitment to excellence that creates a safe, home-like setting for those who live there. I would gladly recommend North Pointe to anyone searching for quality care for a loved one.

Yeah, I just wanted to brag on The Waterford over there menu. I’m on the Atkins side. I put myself on the Atkins diet. It’s all real meat steak chicken fish, any real meat no ground beef no processed meat. No sausage but you can have all the vegetables and fruit you want when I was at [community removed]. I couldn’t eat that way. I always had that option here at this at The Waterford and if nothing else you can always get the Chef salad that’s Atkins diet. It’s real meat and real salad but over there. I ate because I was hungry because I worked out all day long starting at 9 o’clock in the morning till 8 o’clock at night, so I was hungry, but it was way too much starch. I mean there they give you a menu. It’s got through four options and mostly options were either start potatoes and I just wanted to brag on The Waterford for that for their menu. I gotta get bread for that.

Amazing staff. I visit here everyday and im always greeted warmly and prefessionally. The facility always looks very clean and all of the residents appear to be very happy living in the facility. I would definitely recommend

I am a current resident at Waterford at Ironbridge and have been for almost 2 years. There are so many great things to say about Waterford but I will only mention a few. The apartments, the food, the activities, the staff are the best that you can get! Anyone looking for a home where the atmosphere is so friendly and great amenities Waterford at Ironbridge is where you should go!

Friendly people, friendly staff, great day to day life. I am a resident here and have lived here for. For five months. I think that the value for the money is great and everyone is very friendly while I don’t participate in activities there is plenty to do.

Friendly, comfortable, and a great place I have lived at The Waterford for four years now and have met lots of friends and go on into the baseball games and I really like that. Everybody here is so friendly the staff it’s great if I could give him a higher review than five stars I would.

Seems to be a good fit many great amenities. Good staff. I met some very friendly new friends. Can't wait to move in.

We feel that our mom is so safe in memory care! We love the staff! She was in the hospital recently and when she came back, several of the girls came into my mom’s room to give here hugs and welcome her back! We can always count on them to call us and keep us informed of anything that is happening. Love this place! Hit the Jack Pot!

Very clean, very bright and open. Residents were happy and well cared for. Definitely a place to put at the top of your list

The food is very good. It is kept well cleaned and the staff is good. We fit a queen size bed and two end tables, two chairs and two bureaus into the room. There are activities but unsure of what they are.

Came in looking for Memory Care , although they were full , we are willing to wait for an opening due to the activities going on inside the facility. The residents there seemed happy and well taken care of doing chair exercises and staff clapping along and doing with them.

My stepfather moved in here in January. It has been wonderful!! all of the employees, the residents and the food are wonderful! I visit almost daily and I have never had a bad experience. Everybody here is always friendly. Always asking my stepdad if he needs anything making sure he knows to come down for meals and they know what his favorite foods are, and I’ll let him know when they’re on the menu! Very clean facility would recommend to anybody!

This is a really nice place to live. The atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming, and there always seems to be something going on without it feeling overwhelming. The staff are kind, patient, and easy to talk to, which makes a big difference. There are plenty of opportunities to meet people and stay busy. The meals are really good. I’ve been very happy with the experience and appreciate how much the staff genuinely care about the people who live here.

I would give a 5 in all categories. It is a beautiful clean facility with lots of activities. The staff are very friendly and we would recommend The Ashton community to other families.

The temperature upon entry was WARM, older people need that. The dining room serves 3 times a day and there were people in there, lively, the hallways were brightly lit, the tour of the memory care unit was brightly lit and folks were listening to MUSIC not stacked in front of CNN or a ball game or tv show. Overall better place than any I have toured.

The Waterford at ironbridge is a wonderful place to live. They have a great staff that will help you and lots of activities as well as low impact exercising several days a week it is a very safe place to live and they have wonderful food and I’ve been here 2 1/2 years and I can’t think of a more wonderful place to live. I’ve met lots of friends and have lots of fun and I can’t say enough about this place. They also have transportation to and from doctors appointment. And they go on special outings and they have lots of entertainment here. I cannot think of a better place to live. I’m very glad that I found this place. I have made some very good friendships here. Everyone always tries to make you feel very welcome and safe if you’re looking for a place like this come on down and join us
