The people here were really wonderful, they were sweet and kind. This was not a great experience for us. It wasn't the right fit and we didn't know that going in. It was a much strictor facility than what we needed or was looking for. We didn't really understand what was going on with her. Once we straightened out the medication, we realized this wasn't going to work.

He has only ben there a week and I have seen him once so I was pleased with the care so far, but not enough time to give a full evaluation. I call, and today they said that he was talking a lot and his sence of humor was entertaining them all. I am going for a visit on Thursday and will get a better idea of how he is adjusting to his new home.

They didn't have anywhere near the physical setting of Whiterock. They weren't as close, but mainly, it sat right by a busy street surrounded by homes on three sides. They didn't have any trees except a few ornamental ones. As far as the interior, it was open and airy and I thought that they were equally as nice. The staff was friendly, and it was a good place.

It's been pretty darn good. It fits about eighty percent of my mom's needs. My mom likes to cook and not eat in house, but she's pretty fussy. She is able to cook in her own apartment.

My dad said it looked like a nursing home. There were a lot of people out in wheelchairs and things like that and that just turned him off.

The Waterford doesn't control community conflict well and their food lacks greatly. They are rigid about their meal times and staff can be rude and inattentive.

It's a nice place with kind caretakers, my mom is still having a hard time adjusting. My siblings and I visit and check on her often.

Many of the activities get canceled. The food is okay. Nice staff. Small apartment, close to highway for medical appointments.

It's hard to be clearer because I'm getting my information from my 82-year-old aunt who is possibly starting to decline mentally. One of the things I really liked about putting her there was the activities and when she first got there I think they were going through some transitioning and there weren't as many activities as originally promised. She is constantly talking about the quality of the food not being that great and the service at the restaurant being extremely slow and sometimes they don't even have enough silverware because it goes missing so often. I guess the newest thing is they are taking orders at the table and then bringing the food as opposed to bringing everyone the same thing (unless a special meal is ordered) and so that takes even longer. It doesn't sound like the meal service is super organized. She says that she rarely gets anyone that comes in and cleans the apartment and I thought that was a weekly event. I don't think she leaves her apartment very often so it's not like she would miss the person. So that part is not up to par. The last thing she complains about is the driver and I guess he is a bit prickly. They make the residence fill out this form for every appointment, which is fine, but he accused her of filling out a form wrong and when she asked him to show it to her he wouldn't so my thought is that perhaps he was covering up the fact that he screwed up her appointment time.

The staff are friendly and helpful. The meals can be a hit or miss. I do enjoy activities. But as for cleanliness goes, the carpeting is filthy, and the furniture in the lobby is gross. It's too bad they don't take better care of things.

The facility itself was very nice. I visited my Mother a few times a week and at various times. What I didn't like was when I tried to find a nurse or aid and couldn't find either. My Mother seems to fall quite frequently. The second time she did so and was in a rehab facility, the Woodlands nurse came to evaluate my Mother. I was then told that they would not accept her back at the facility. This was 3 days before she was to be released. It's impossible to find somewhere else for her to live in that short time frame. For this reason, I would not recommend The Woodlands. On a separate note, my husband died while she was in Rehab. No one seemed to be able to help me (the Rehabilitation Center or The Woodlands).

Some residents are deemed special, all else are ignored. It is a place I would recommend.

THE I DEPEDENT LIVING MANAGER WAS VERY DIFFICULT AND REACALICITRANT TOWARDS ME... IT FELT DEMANING... PATRONIZING AND CONDESCENDING AND WAS ONE OF THE BIGGEST REASONS I LEFT AMBERLEIGH.....THEY DIDN'T ALWAYS CLEAN MT ROOM WEEKLY AS WAS IN THE CONTRACT BECAUSE THE PLACE IS UNDER-STAFFED....STAFF WAS ALWAYS VERY POLITE,AND ACCOMODATING....STAFF DOES RESOND WELL TO REQUESTS AND NEEDS.....ALL GREAT EXCEPT FOR INDEPENDENT LIVING MANAGER... WASN'T SATISIFIED WITH HER SUPPORT OR COMPASSION FOR MY NEEDS... SHE WAS MORE INTERESTED I. XAUSING ME CONSTERBATION THAN SOLVING MY ACTUAL NEEDS,AND SUPPORTING ME....SOME FABULOUS DISHES... SOME DUSHES THAT ARE HIT AND MISS... BREAKFAST IS VERY CONSISTENTLY GOOD.....LOTS OF ACTIVITIES PLANNED FOR RESIDENTS..... THEY DON'T PROVIDE FOOD OR ROOM CLEANING BUT IT IS $[removed] CHEAPER HERE PER MONTH AND I LOVE THE INDEPENDENT LIVING MANAGER [name removed].. VERY KIND... VERY COMPASSIOIOBATE.. VERY CARING... A VERY QUALITY LADY FOR CERTAIN.. I WOULD RECOMMEND [community removed] TO ANYONE LOOKING FOR RESIDENCY.....

It was ok. My mom did not feel like the atmosphere was super warm. Only saw a few residents. It didn't seem very lively or active.

We were impressed at first with the location and the sales lady, [name removed] However they did not get the apartment ready until 3 weeks after the lease started. We would go days without getting a phone call back after leaving a message with the staff. I complained a few times and finally we started getting answers to our concerns. Small things like broken exhaust fan in the bathroom took weeks to get addressed. They would tell us they would fix it immediately and then nothing. They didn't get the paint done until after two weeks after the lease had begun. The good thing was my parents hadn't moved in yet. Otherwise, they would have been painting with my parents were there. A light switch and other small repairs took weeks to get addressed. We were also told they had high speed internet. It is very slow to say the least. They advertise they had advertised that laundry was included in independent living and it wasn't included. Nobody in the office knew how to get the lease signed online. Now that they are settled in things are going much better.

There should be 2 caregivers in each cottage. Several times, there's only one. It's too much for one person to give quality care to 10 to 12 people.

During the virtual tour we were assured the windows in memory care could not be open all the way. Found out that was not true. The care is not what we were told. My sister has had male residents in her room as she sleeps and crawled in bed with her. Nothing has been done.

I had to reschedule the original appointment and this might be why they rushed me through but it felt rushed and as though I was inconveniencing them. I had a lot of questions but felt like they were glossed over. I waited for the person to walk me through for 20 min and they didn’t even introduce themselves , I had to ask their name. The facility was lovely, and apartments are decent but I just felt like my loved one was just a tenant not a person.

The jury is still out on my experience..... still have not had a tour of facility also their website states they do laundry....been told they do not....employees can not touch the residents belongings. Also was told the meal plan was negotiable..... now being told it's not.. very frustrated on what they do...promise they will do and what they should do

WE ENJOYED THE VISIT WITH MY SON AND DAUGHTER-IN-LAW. SHE IS A NURSE AND OFFFERED THE CARE PERSPECTIVE FROM THE POINT. IT WAS CLEAN BUT THERE WERE SEVERAL CONCERNS. THE LACK OF UNDERGROUND PARKING WAS AN ISSUE AND SOME OF THE MEDICAL CARE ISSUES WERE A CONCERN WE HAVE SELECTED ANOTHER FACILITY
