the reviews on this links scared me off this place but [name removed] called me and I have an appointment [date removed]. I did really enjoy the tour. The apartment would be great for my dad. I would like to hold it if possible until the end of the day on Friday so I have the opportunity to visit 2 other residences this week

The atrium is beautiful with lovely viewing areas for birds and fish. The staff was very attentive and seemingly caring. It always smells nice!

[Name removed] gave us a good tour. The place is being remodeled in phases so eventually it will be totally updated which will improve the appearances a lot. We toured @ 10:00 am. didn't see much activity of the residents during our visit. It's on our lists of possibles for mom

I am writing this for my mother who has lived at Amberleigh for three years now and is very pleased with where she lives. Recently, they hired a new Executive Director who seems to be very for the residents. My mother told me that every day at lunch he walks around and makes sure everyone is doing okay and will sit and talk with them. They haven't had something like this before and it seems to be the talk of the dinner table! My mother and her friends are very pleased with how easy he is to talk to and how truly interested he is in the residents and their lives. The food has also gotten so much better. I can tell how much happier my mother is and her friends are. I am happy that this is where my mother is living. Looking forward to bright things ahead for Amberleigh!

I recently toured The Amberleigh with my mother and we were impressed with the friendliness of the staff. The staff seemed happy and eager to welcome new residents. We also ate lunch in the dining room and we were impressed with the quality of the food. Amberleigh seems like it will be a great fit for my mother and we are excited for this next chapter in her life.

This facility is very pretty and the staff truly loves on their residents. You just need to remember it is not a skilled nursing facility so they can’t do wound care. If your insurance covers home health then you should be fine. My mother has some very sweet friends and the family is pleased with the activity directors and much of the staff. I feel like our concerns are heard and that they try to satisfy us as much as possible.

Nice location and great place for "independant" seniors.

What we liked about Country Charm is the hominess of the facility. Each unit has a private entrance with a small patio. However, there is also an enclosed back entrance from each unit that accesses a corridor to the common areas and dining of the main unit. The resident rooms were a generous size and fresh and clean. The dining area had a comfortable casual feel with oak dining tables and chairs and welcoming décor. The staff was friendly and greeted the residents they encountered by name. We also liked the convenience of the location being within walking distance to many restaurants and shopping, while still being secluded enough by design and landscaping to feel like it was away from the hustle and bustle of the area.

Nothing negative

Georgetowne proved to be a good place for my sister, albeit for a much too short a time. The apartment was very nice with a great balcony and provided the independence wit adequate oversight that her family felt secure in the knowledge that she was checked on regularly. The facility had a more independent feel to it compared to other "assisted living" places, the apartment was set up like an apartment, even having its own washer and dryer, fostering the independence of the resident. Hence, it was much less confining than many other facilities. Yet, while my sister could maintain her independence, there were always the support services available that assured her safety. The facility is modern, with lots of open space both inside and out with plenty of public space for gathering and interaction. The only criticism has to do with food. While it was ok, it was not exciting. Yes, it is a dining facility catering to over 150 residents, it would have been nice if the food was just a bit more in line with the greater ambiance of Georgetowne Place.

Kitchenette's counter space was to small to hold more than a toaster and coffee pot

Love the property and the apartment was nice. But did not feel welcomed there by residents.

Very nice and cordial place for assisted living. Food was very good and the personnel seemed very pleasant.

The set-up at Waterford is quite different. I think it is pretty homelike for the residents. Staff and personnel are engaged, friendly and very caring of the residents. Everywhere was clean and well-organized. If [name removed] was more aware and independent, he would do well here among other military men.

Then I visited Waterford and spoke with [name removed]. She was also extremely nice and knowledgeable as well. Not as nice as [name removed] and also only had a kitchenette and no cooktop or oven. Not totally certain if this will be an issue or not. Need to clarify with mom. The set up there being in one building would probably fit her needs better versus being in a cottage and having to be picked up and brought up to the main building at [name removed].

My mom has been living at the Waterford on Cooper for 5 months. She loves the food and the staff. They are very friendly and take care of all her needs. They address any issues I have immediately.

[Name removed] was great. Nice place but they do have a waiting list. So not sure if we would go there as we were looking to move soon.

Nice clean place. Didn't have desired floor plan available but staff was willing to work with us in providing alternate space at the desired floor plan price. Major downside is that the actual location of the facility is further away than initially hoped for, and no swimming pool on site.
