For where she is at, I would recommend it. This is the only one my loved one liked after looking at others in the area.

Being out of state we do not get to visit much, but when we speak to our loved ones there they are happy. They say it is a safe environment and even with being far away we do not have to worry

The core staff of nurses are friendly to Dad and our family, ask questions, and pass along their concerns when the need arises. They provide tailored one-on-one care as required, and treat residents with dignity and respect. The individual rooms are cleaned/tidied on a regular basis and pods have been updated with new flooring, decorations and highlight a specific activity center. Group dining and a posted daily schedule provide socialization opportunities for the residents and guests, too. The outdoor garden is a pleasant place to sit and visit during warmer months. In addition, the facility is conveniently located near restaurants and shopping - many are less than 10 minutes away.

It's reasonably priced and clean. The people here are really nice. It's a overall good place for my father so far. The meals provide a few options at lunch or dinner. You can have the meals delivered to your room or you can pick them up and take them back to your room with you if you want. Or you can stay in the dining area. If he is resting, they bring him his food to his room so he has it when he wakes up.

this community was not as nice and light and bright, you were either overlooking garages or other things that were not scenic. my loved one needed a scenic view and this community just did not have it. Just seemed to be very dark

Our family had an in person tour and we were very impressed with the staff there and we liked the smaller scale of it. It did feel like a very caring community and they did have a lot of activities. However it is an older facility, there were doing some remodeling so the rooms were not as nice and the residents did not seem to be on the same level as our mother.

The meals have been being served in the resident's rooms. The meals are served 5-6, and it can be difficult to find spots in the dining room. There is one elevator in the community, and the residents do have to get down to the dining room early to make sure they can find a spot at a table. This is great for independent living. They don't have 24 hour nursing or medical staffing for the residents. The only time the medical staff is available is during the day, and then they have an on call team. The manager, [name removed], is fantastic and has been extremely helpful. The community is doing their best with the pandemic and staff turnover. Overall, I have been fairly pleased with what they have been able to do.

This community was okay but my mother is a smoker and this was not really an environment where my loved one would be able to comfortably smoke. They gave me a lot of info and answered all questions that I had while touring this community.

I am pretty happy here. I like the location because it is good for walking. They allow my dog here. I am more satisfied than I expected to be. There is a wide variety of food for the residents to choose from. Some of the activities available include chair exercises, mental alertness classes, bible study, happy hour, movies, and more for the residents to choose from.

My loved one likes it. I wish I had made this move 3 or 4 years ago. Within 30 days of moving there she gets her hair done, she is in the dining room smiling and enjoying life. A complete turn around from the place she had been to before. They have quicker follow up and contacted us back within 15 minutes when we were inquiring about services. The only negative is the phone system needs some attendance. Messages get lost after I leave them regarding appointments, etc.

I am very well pleased with The Wellington at Dayton, the staff are very friendly. they always make it a point to remember your name and greet you in the hallways. I understand that they are low on staff, but their staffing issues have caused some issues that seem to be recurring. the food had more of a variety, but declined once meals were no longer served in the dining room. in the beginning, the dining room was off limits because they had plumbing problems on the lower level and Covid shutdown(s) - to no fault of the community. they did make it a priority to bring meals to the residents rooms during those times. more recently, the dining room is often shutdown at dinner time and sometimes during the day, directly related to their lack of staff. based on my one visit, it doesn't seem like they're aware when the dining room is not open. this can cause further anxiety and confusion in residents due to the interruption of routine. no access to the dining room also limits their socialization hour and interaction between one another. all the families are paying a considerable amount of money, so we do want to ensure our loved one is receiving what they're paying for. my loved one loves it here, they feel right at home. the director [name removed] is outstanding! she stayed on top of one particular issue we had and went over and above to assist us. she's wonderful!

when we chose The Waterford, we were told a couple things that (now) seems to have been misleading. they have a shuttle that offers transportation services for the residents to attend their doctor appointments. they never mentioned that there was a distance limit, and made it out to be an all inclusive available service. the one time my loved one needed to use the service, they complained that his appointment was too far and encouraged him to find a new doctor that is closer. this created an inconvenience, as finding a new doctor as a senior isn't always an easy transition. insurance coverage, new patient paperwork, availability, introduction to a new doctor and so forth can all be stressful. my loved one is also responsible for purchasing their own depends. I do feel that the community should at least offer them to the residents; even if its for a fee. overall my loved one has enjoyed their time here so far; they loved the food, stays active and likes living here.

We chose The Waterford because of the value for the money and they have a memory unit as well so they would be able to be on the same campus when she needs that level of care. We did have an issue, there was a toilet backup and it took them all day to solve that issue because their maintenance man was not there and there was no backup plan. They do appear to be pretty responsive to the call buttons and react quickly. I would recommend with the caveat that you need to check in and be an advocate for your loved ones.

We selected Benton House because it was attractive, smaller with all rooms on a single floor, and close enough for me to be there as frequently as needed. The rooms are larger and her room even has a screened porch. As with all places now, staff is a little thin on the ground, so some things take a bit longer than optimal.

The Villa Santa Barbara community is very clean, and the staff members have been great. I am still adjusting so I have not taken advantage of the activities yet, but they do have a ton to offer. All of the residents have been so welcoming.

Our family had an in person tour and our experience was a good one

I liked this community also. It seemed to be very attentive and a clean and comfortable environment. They seemed like they tried to accommodate also. The only thing is my loved one had mild dementia and the rooms were bigger and my loved one struggled with walking. my loved one just needed a smaller space

Overall the experience has been really good with North Pointe. In the beginning it was kind of unorganized especially with the medications, but things have been figured out since then. I think they could have benefitted from a new resident orientation so that the whole move in transition could have been smoother. From what I have seen they have a lot of activities provided and they are good with encouraging her to come and participate in things. They have a new food vendor and my aunt has been happy with them. My aunt has dietary restrictions and the chef has done a great job, they have gone way out of their way to accommodate her. We are very pleased with them.
