We have been really happy with them, the staff has been great! From what I have seen from other places they are pretty comparable in price. They were able to work with us really quickly and get us in over a holiday weekend. They have a private almost apartment like space. The food is really good, my wife likes to eat there. They will even bring the food up to their room if they aren't feeling up to going to the dining area. They are very accommodating.

Our experience with Cottonwood Village so far has been nothing but positive. The people are great, I have been others that had offensive odors. My Mother has only been there just over a week, but I think this is the best choice!

They have done a wonderful job. They are all very friendly, and very clean. They have a good variety of activities. The food is good, she enjoys the food. I like the decor of the place, and the cleanliness, and it was in a good location for us.

Facility is actually less expensive and provides the same if not better service and the food is very good in comparison to the previous facility...My father has adjusted extremely well and feels the residents are more friendly than the last place...Room is adequate, 1 bedroom as well as the mini kitchen serves his needs...Employees and management are excellent...No complaints at this point... Previous assisted/independent living the management/RL Director was extremely poor...Nickel and Dime for everything...It was return on investment mentality... Food was not prepared and was more of a precooked menu...Two separate dining rooms was a horrible situation...My father has no interest in going back to previous one...

The care here was very good. When I walked in the staff would stop me and tell me what my Mother had done to make them laugh or tell me stories about the time they'd spent with her. They have this beautiful courtyard that is surrounded by the building so it's safe to go out there even at night. The staff is friendly and always keeps and eye on her. They make sure she is at every meal and bring her ice daily to her room if she wants it.

They do a great job here, and for the most part have a very caring and competent staff. It has a very welcoming, upbeat, and comfortable here. It feels very homey, rather than institutional. I'd say one area they could improve on would be the operations and execution of their medication delivery, it hasn't been entirely consistent.

Mother moved into The Waterford at the end of August 2013. So, our experience is somewhat limited--about 5 months. She had lived in another facility about 100 miles away so the move and getting used to a new routine is still somewhat ongoing although the staff and administrators have been extremely helpful. She lived in the other facility for 4 years---for those of you just starting your search---you will find that "routine " is important to the elderly---at least in our experience. The Waterford has been all that we hoped it would be in terms of care. We had to get on the same page with meds and with laundry and the staff worked with us to manage that. Based on our relatively short time here, I would definitely recommend The Waterford or at least put it on your list to "check out"

We were impressed during our tour. Everyone we spoke with was friendly and helpful, and it just all looked very clean and nice. It was out of our price range, but if money was not a factor this would have been the place we picked.

my father moved in a month ago and is very happy there. the staff is wonderful to work with.

My mom was living at home alone after hip surgery, and didn't have the energy or inclination to cook, clean or do much of anything for that matter. We knew a change had to occur, especially with winter coming to Western New York. We toured a few facilities, but knew Amberleigh would be the best fit for my mom as soon as we entered the facility. The staff was warm and welcoming, and it looked like we were in a fine hotel. Mom wasn't convinced that moving was the right thing for her to do, so we agreed to try it for six months and see how things went. Well, after two weeks, my mom was thrilled to be at Amberleigh, and we were thrilled that she was coming back to life again! She enjoyed meeting new friends and the delicious meals in the elegant dining room, as well as all the activities offered to the residents. We are relieved that she is safe and happy, and enjoying this chapter in her life. They say when a door shuts, a window opens somewhere else, and Amberleigh was truly a window of life and happiness for my mom. I am certain that she would not be in such good shape today if she had remained at home alone, even with her children checking in on her. The social interaction with the other residents, and the caring and friendly staff made all the difference. Fifteen months later, my mom continues to be thrilled to call Amberleigh home, and we feel very fortunate that she is living an active life again.

We toured. This is assisted living, and at first they told us that they couldn't take my mom because she had had a suicide attempt. They told us that if she did well at University Pines, however, that they would take her once she was ready for assisted living. It was a beautiful facility, but she wasn't ready for the full assistance. It was comforting to know that we had a back up plan when we needed it.

I have not yet fully moved into Waterford on Huebner, am doing it a little at a time until next week when I will finally settle in. Have made several trips over there to take a few things, and once to have a delicious lunch. From the first time I went there everyone has been so nice and helpful and happy to see me. The first day when I walked in, there was a white board at the front desk that said, "Welcome, Helen Bates." Nice touch. After the tour I could not stay for lunch, so they sent lunch home with me in a to-go box. The most wonderful potato soup I have ever tasted,. I am looking forward to joining this community and being a part of their day-to-day life.

Great prices, great location. Like the fact that thier apartments were very home like. Staff were not pushy they were very caring. We deposited.

The facility is beautiful (community areas, resident apartments, and landscaping). The food is good. The staff are fabulous. It is gated and provides a sense of security for the residents and their family members. The apartments (various sizes and prices) have patios and that provides a real feeling of home. The retirement center allows residents to pay to bring Home Health or Hospice Care in, giving the residents independence, but the care they require. There is a variety of activities that appeal to residents and this diminishes the feelings of loneliness. These activities are in the facility and some are in the community with facility transportation. This facility is pet friendly so the residents can bring their "extended family" along for a small price. Housekeeping is provided once a week with flat linen services. Residents can drop off their trash in a clean receptacle room on their way to the dining hall. Washers and dryers are abundant in clean laundry rooms. Walking down the hallways makes you think you are in a flower garden because they smell so nice. Vending machines are on each floor. A reliable elevator is available for those residents who live on the second floor or for those who are wanting to use the single designated activity rooms on that floor.

I would give them a 9 out of 10. If I had a gripe it would be with the nursing staff. They don't seem to communicate between the night shift and the day shift. Other than that, they're doing a great job! They have a tremendous amount of activities.

I was lovely. An absolutely excellent place. Unfortunately my mother was only there for 7 days before she was transported to the hospital where she passed away.

I viist my mom at least 3 days a week, my sister comes in on the weekends and we have absolutely no complaints about the cleanliness. Every person that I have dealt with, all of the front desk staff and even the individuals that come to the rooms have always checked if we needed anything, we even went with Dr. Higgins who is the local doctor and she comes around and visits the waterford and that has worked out wonderfully. She gets medical care as far as following up after her stroke and therapy to prevent her from regressing. I visited just about everything A Place for Mom sent us too, everything and everywhere, and in my opinion this was the best facility that we saw for what we were paying. We didn't know where the resources where but without A Place for Mom and veterans financial we wouldn't have known where to start and you don't know where to go.

I found them online and we were going around looking at a bunch of different places and I liked it because it was smaller and because of the price. Overall it was the best package. My loved one loves it and we're very happy with them. The staff are really nice, the answer all your questions, if you say "hey we need this done" they say not a problem and go do it. Overall we're very happy with them.

It is a very very nice community. Our loved one is happy here and if they are happy then we are happy. They offer a lot of activities. It is in an ideal location for our family. When we toured it we were impressed with the cleanliness and the friendliness of the community and what they had to offer. This was a good community right off the bat.

They are a very good community that we are happy with. The evening meal could be a little better but it's because they make the lunch meal the main meal of the day. The staff here bends over backwards to help and accommodate as much as they can. Overall we are pleased with them and what they are providing.
