When looking for an assisted living facility (ALF) for my mother we used "A Place for Mom" service, which was fantastic. We toured five ALFs, and The Waterford had the WOW factor for us. The first floor apartment available has direct access to the interior court yard, a plus since mom is a gardener - an outside person. The staff is friendly and professional, which enhances the living experience for mom. The wide, well lit halls make it an inviting place to take a walk and meet other residents. There are a variety of activities, including trips out to local businesses and attractions. Meals are nutritious with daily variety, as well as regular dishes from which residents can choose their meal from the menu.

Waterford has an extremely caring and friendly staff in a comfortable, clean, beautiful resort style community. Excellent food and lots of activities. My dad loves it here. Very reasonable rates too! A+

This facility is top notch, from the administrators to care givers! The cottages are very homey and always smell good. I love visiting my dad there. I have piece of mind knowing my dad is eating great home cooked meals and having his meds. Administered as prescribed by the doctor.

I feel so much at ease knowing that my mother is in a great clean place and well taken care of. It took her some getting used to at first which is understandable but now she's gotten to know the ins and outs. She's made some good friend as well. I would recommend to anyone who is needing a place for their loved ones

Previous Director was unapproachable and unreasonable. She often made promises she never kept. I had witnessed her being short both residents and employees. My mother has lived at Amberleigh for years and the community has seemingly gone down hill the last several years under her leadership. The staff was able to keep the community going without direction and seemed much happier. Recently, they hired a new director who seems to be the complete opposite of previous director and things are looking up. The staff seems happier and residents seem happier and have seen positive changes in the last month.

Top care by the best staff. If you want true care delivered with kindness in a home like environment this is the place.

It’s someplace my dad said he’d never go - a senior home. But his health needs were changing. My mom had passed some years ago. Out of 6 children 2 lived out of town and the rest of us had full time jobs. He needed attention and most importantly interaction with his peers. He and his family Dr had very frank conversation and with tears in his eyes he agreed “It was time”. The Wellington was the perfect fit. He could take his furniture and create a comfortable living space. He was introduced to his “new audience” - new friends. Amazingly there were people he knew either through church, or bowling leagues, or work. The staff was amazing. These are people who really care. Walking in the door to visit they recognize me and if he and I go out - they are quick to give a parting pleasantry. His medicines were administered daily without worry. He actually enjoyed the meals. Lots of choices. Family could join him for meals at any time, which he enjoyed. Activities were offered - some days he felt like it - some times not and that was ok. The staff was always keeping me informed if anything was out of the norm - medication changes, reaction, meal habit changes. They cared! As dad’s health declined after several months he was surrounded by wonderful people. Everyone from aids to Administration was checking on him. Even the wonderful housekeeping staff was checking on him and spending a few extra minutes with him and he loved it. He met so many great people at The Wellington who motivated him to be more engaged, to be more active, to smile more. As his health deteriorated Hospice was able to come there. He didn’t have to leave and he dealt comfort in that. His new neighbors were there for him, prayed with him and supported him in his final journey. Everyone we encountered at The Wellington was professional, caring, compassionate and sincere. I never worried when I left after a visit. He was in good hands - if not the best hands. They were like family.

Very clean and professional. Looks kind of like a hospital setting with a central station and rooms off to the sides. Looks very organized and well-taken care of.

Excellent long term staff that is very passionate about what they do. Smaller community, only 20 residents, nice one bedroom kitchenette apartments, nice park like setting and walking paths.

The people at Wynnfield Crossing are the most important reason for this review. They are all so caring and respectful of the residents, as if the people living there are their own relatives. [names removed] are wonderful, but there are many others from the servers in the dining room to the resident assistants who are so caring, friendly and warm. My Mom loves every single one of them. Besides the people, the apartments are warm and inviting; the food is good and the activities are fun. My Mom is very happy that she moved to Wynnfield and so am I.

What a lovely facility! I was impressed as I walked into the large, open lobby and the friendly receptionist greeted me. I was happy with the wide choice of activities daily and the variety of meals available for the resident's at any time. The food was made with fresh ingredients and very tasty. I loved that they had a baker! The nursing staff were very caring to the residents, they truly had a rapport with the resident's, felt like family. The apartments were very nice with lots of storage. Will definitely consider this facility when the time comes that I need the care.

As I stepped into the Waterford I was greeted by a spacious, airy lobby and a friendly receptionist. As I toured the facility, I was amazed by the variety of activities and the cleanliness of the facility. The food was delicious, fresh and homemade. The fresh baked bread was definitely a highlight of the resident's meal. The apartments were nice with lots of storage. The staff was caring and attune to the residents as they were caring for them. I would absolutely choose this facility for my parents

My mother has lived at The Waterford for 2 1/2 years and we could not be more pleased. When it became apparent that it was time to move Mom from her home of 50+ years making the decision on an assisted living was one of the most difficult of our lives. The staff of The Waterford made everything about this transition so smooth and pleasant for Mom and us kids. Questions and concerns are addressed and resolved promptly and professionally. I truly see every day that the staff care for the residents as if caring for their own family.

We loved it! It was spacious without feeling huge; well decorated; large, spacious rooms with a tiny "kitchen area" - fridge, microwave, tiny sink and cupboards along one wall; large bathroom with private walk in shower.; in a quiet neighborhood. Moving my dad in soon!

I believe my mom would do well at the Wellington.

The Waterford at Ironbridge is a beautiful place that is tucked behind businesses and off the main street. [Name removed] was caring, kind and professional. This was my first tour and I was impressed.

We have been so very blessed in the care and nurturing our precious mother has received and continues to experience every day at Cedar Bluff. Every staff member, no matter what role they serve, treats each and every resident with loving kindness. It is such a privilege to call everyone at Cedar Bluff our extended family!
