Sodalis Elder Living

We have only been here about 60 days. The price is good. I would recommend Sodalis Austin.

My family & I chose Sodalis TC because it is close to home but when we walked in, the friendly, welcoming atmosphere sealed the deal for us. The place was clean, everyone spoke to you, not just the staff but the residents also. SInce being there from Oct. 2023, they celebrate many holidays and special occasions. Welcome families to join in the celebrations. Exec Director, [name removed], is on top of things. Any concerns we've had or she has had, she contacts us immediately. My mother loves everyone that works there.

They are currently renovating the facility. They do seem slightly under staffed but the staff they do have, have been wonderful. The value is great! This was the main reason we chose Sodalis. They've been very kind, welcoming and helpful when I've been there.

I would say that my dad seems to really enjoy it and is comfortable. I liked the location and the cleanliness over other places.

The facility is clean and they are attentive to our needs when we call upon them. I like the size of the facility. Also since it's only about 60 residents. My biggest concern about sodalis Is staffing levels and their penchant for calling out over holidays and holiday weekends. They need a better staffing level and a more accountable staff. Accountable to each other and accountable to their scheduled hours. They put undue pressure on the employees who are there all the time. But overall, I find the staff to be caring and compassionate And I've been told by my mother-in-law the food is good.

When I first went there they seemed perfect. I don't know another about care facilities and maybe have unrealistic expectations. Someone is stealing from his room. The aids don't have the patience my brother requires and they charge for every little item that I thought was included. Very clean. Activity director great. Food terrible.

[name removed] was so thoughtful to check in every so often because our process took a long time to find the right place AND the right time to make the move. Overall experience rated 4 but they have new staff so expected some hiccups. My concerns have been addressed or they are working on resolutions: Laundry = slow turn around. Cable TV- terrible connection / service and frustrating for my mom. My mom's room was in great condition at move in and they keep it clean. As well as the building and the dining room. The staff has helped so much with getting my mom settled and comfortable. They treat her like family. The nurses that I have met, Genuinely care about my mom. care services - so far so good. My mom has commented how good the food is. I have eaten there too! Not bad! She doesn't go down for breakfast so one of the nurses helps her make her (keurig) coffee and helps her prep her food sometimes in her apartment kitchen. WOW can't say enough about Sodalis' activities. [name removed] and [name removed] keep the residents busy. We were so happy how quickly our mom got involved, made friends, participated in activities and outings! The Facebook page says it all. I love seeing our mom in the photos smiling and having fun. One of the best prices in town...and I shopped around and toured 5+ communities. We picked Sodalis because of its location (close to our house) And the pricing .And the size of the building. Not too big and overwhelming. Truly feels like a Bed and Breakfast and tastefully decorated. Our mom was VERY against moving and "losing her independence" but now she is safe and happy and stays pretty busy! She still has her privacy in her new apartment but spends most of her time with her new friends sitting outside or doing activities. What a great place for her to live and enjoy the day to day around great people and caregivers.

Sodalis Stuart community is a very nice place and it is a very good place for our loved one so far. Based on the experience we have had so far we would recommend this community to other families

Best place closest to my home. Really like the administration ladies that work there and their staff. Many activities to keep people engaged. Positive happy atmosphere. People are always happy and laughing.

We picked this community because of the cleanliness and activities and the food smelled good. Also the staff. I'd say the staff is great but definitely keep your own doctor.

My loved one is currently a resident at Sodalis Milton and things have been good for her at this facility so far. The staff is very helpful and friendly. My loved one enjoys the food. The building does not smell like most other facilities do. The cleanliness, care services, activities and value for cost are good. So far, I would recommend Sodalis Milton to family and friends.

My family loved one has been living at Soldalis since 2007. He has always been shown a great deal of care and concern by the staff at this facility. During Covid they kept the residents safe and helped to facilitate video calls so we could stay in touch with each other. The staff is very responsive to all his needs for health care to making sure his medical equipment is working well. I would recommend Soldalis for your loved one.

We love ALL of the staff we have meet and interact with when we visit our mother. The facility is very clean, and the staff is always available. We are happy with the relationship between staff and residents. The rooms are very spacious and nice. Lovely facility! I would like to give this place a five star rating, however there are a few issues. The Internet service is a MAJOR problem. They have WIRELESS DIRECTV through the Internet, that hardly works. Can’t FaceTime with loved ones because of internet. Need more activities! AC is also a problem. Rooms are not regulated. With thermostat set at 68 you can be very warm. Thermostat is not senior citizen, friendly. The meals are not of a quality you would expect at a place like this. Many of the residents complain of not liking the food. With what we pay, they should be getting five star meals, not wraps and hamburgers on a regular basis. I think the owner needs to step up, and provide the service that we all pay for.

It has been a positive experience. Initial impression was that it is very clean. I would recommend to other families.

My parents have been there for over 3 years and we have been pleased with the care they are receiving. The staff are very friendly and keep in touch with me for any thing I need to know about my parents.

The place is a little old but the staff care and are helpful. He is comfortable there. The food is wonderful! Like home cooking with real plates and silverware. It makes him very happy. We picked his community because of the location.

Heavy rain occured on [date removed], while I was visiting my mother-in-law. Gutters on building were over flooding around the building, due to clogged down spouts causing washout and flooding around the building. Also, the sidewalk on the left front of the building is heaved up from roots of magnolia tree, causing a trip hazzard.

The place was very efficient and well run. The resident Staff was great. The Admin/Leadership staff that I dealt with was very business focused. They were kind of sterile and not super friendly.

My family and loved one have had an average experience with the community. The staff and residents have been friendly. The food and service in the dining room has been very poor and not able to keep staff. We would suggest you ask lots of questions about meals, care available, and try a meal during the tour.
