Sodalis Elder Living

I would recommend Sodalis Deer Park to others. Overall, the dining is ok. Though they don't have salt and for awhile it seemed the food was dry and hard. But that has definitely improved lately. The staff is good. Facility is clean. They do seem to have limited activities, I haven't seen much. They also seem to be short handed a lot of the time, but our experience has been good so far and I'm satisfied with the facility.

My dad has been there for a while now. There have been changes in management but they have always tried to accommodate and help.

Overall I feel mom is well taken care of. However, she has commented on aspects of facility, care & food. She arrived just as a major remodel started with facility and staff changes. Hopefully all will soon settle to a consistent, quality experience.

Having a caring, educated place where the elderly is well taken care is a blessing in disguise and Sodalis is definitely the place. They go above and beyond on every aspect of how elderly should be treated. With respect and admiration. Thank you for all you do.

The every-day caretakers I was very impressed with. The senior administration was heavily money-focused. I found the initial onboarding to be a frustrating experience. Overall I would recommend Sodalis-Stone Oak to other families.

So far everything is good at Sodalis, only thing I would say is they are maybe a bit short handed on staff. They need more staff.

I toured the community the other day and I must say [name removed] the lady that does your tours is so personable. We laughed and even shared a few tears together. She reached my family and I and I could not be more thankful for our encounter with her. Even though my Mom needs skilled nursing, I loved the experience with her and the time she took to just let me explain and vent.

Our family had an in person tour and we really appreciated that right up front they were able to tell us what they could and could not handle when it came to our loved one. The community does need some freshening up, but they were undergoing remodeling so we are sure it will turn out nice.

So far we're happy with them and haven't had any problems. We chose them because the location is very near to us. For my parents, who might not need care year after year after year, it meets their current needs. And the cost was not prohibitive.

This community was very nice . It was a quick tour not too involved but what I saw was nice.

A very nice community. They had good activities for the residents. My loved one was needing more care than they could provide at the community.

We chose Sodalis Texas City mainly due to the convenient location. The room sizes at the facility were very nice. The friendliness of the staff was definitely the best part of our whole experience here and is something that stuck out to us the most. They were amazing, even during his last month here. I would absolutely recommend Sodalis to other families looking.

What really drew us to this community was the people, the residents there are wonderful. On our tour we got to speak with them and they all seemed to be similar in their health to what our mother was, we felt she would be able to easily engaged in conversation with them. They all seemed to be pretty mobile. The staff were very willing to answer all the questions we had and did well keeping us informed all the time. She was only their for respite care but at the same time she moved in they hired on a new activities director which was great because she started out immediately wanting to get the residents more involved with one another. The facility itself is also very nice.

We had a good tour experience with Sodalis, I just knew it was not going to be the right fit for my mother. They also did not offer memory care

I would recommend this community and I would say to check it out to see if it fits your needs. I think that the staff are great. They have activities like outings, bingo, birthday parties and decorate for holidays and more. They have puzzles and church activities and games to keep the residents busy.

We were promised one thing when the facility was Elmcroft. Ever since it was taken over, the deal is no longer being carried through with. I would not have have signed up with them if I would have known that due to the cost. I think that should have been carried through with even with changing owners. I will say though that the people and the facility is absolutely top notch.

Our family had an in person tour and it is a very nice facility, but it did need a little more cleanliness to it. There was a faint smell and it was smaller. Also the accommodating and what they had to offer was just not really up to par. r

We chose Elmcroft of Austin because the price for the cleanliness, friendly staff, and the care provided was far and above others that we had looked into. The facility itself is also very close to my place so it is convenient when I go to visit. The staff has been very friendly and we are happy with them. Our biggest issue we have had is his call button does not seem to work consistently. I would absolutely recommend to others looking.

Very friendly and caring staff. Helped Mom feel comfortable and welcome like part of the family as she transitioned to assisted living. Questions and concerns always addressed in a timely manner. She enjoys many activities and events. I rest easy knowing Mom is safe and well taken care of. Highly recommend Elmcroft.
