Sodalis Elder Living

Mom says she is very happy living at Sodalis. The staff is friendly and seems genuinely concerned over the well being of the residents. The food is good and well varied. The facility could use more housekeeping staff to meet the promised cleaning schedules. Overall, I think Sodalis at Pensacola is a good value.

In comparison to another facility we were at, Sodalis Victoria had an advantage because they are a smaller facility with a more uniform population. It is nice that I was able to go eat with my loved one for meals and be able to meet other residents. The higher ups actually came to work in the dining hall and it just felt like more of a community. Overall I would recommend this facility to other families.

Overall this has been a good experience for our loved one and everything is going good, we would definitely recommend the Sodalis Wharton community for other families. We have not been able to eat a meal there but every time we do visit the meals always look and smell good. They always try different things with the activities and they do have musical entertainment which is nice.

Nice, some fun people staff and residents with lots of laughter along with such a nice greeter at the desk along with brightness and cleanliness at Sodalis Community. I am impressed with most pf all the people It takes a special kind pf person to work with all these different illnesses and attitudes. I sat in on a meeting...you can't please them all at the same time. However, I have learned by stepping in to give a bit more for a time makes then feel better for when they have to wait a bit next time. I found that works in all walk of life. I like your outings. [name removed] is declining. Which means more assistance...I pay private too to have someone. On my days that i come...we have am putting or go home shower there...I straight his room...or help in between cleanings. One thing. There has been a dead roach on hos counter for a month. I told him to leave it. I wanted to see I'd anyone wiped hos counter...I like to give second chances. My father told me never give a third. The last strike is out...so...please address that. It has been good for him to be out there. I feel so bad at times I cry when I leave him. He was getting no social activity at home. And at that point tearing up things...it is so tiring to me like taking care pf a baby when he is home. Maybe I am older. I have taken care of people all my life. My parents. This just took the wind out of me. And for 18 years...then the last three tears alone trying to figure it out took me a year to get home care...I know soon it will be nursing home...because Medicare does not carry home care at home or there. I know that we both are not happy with what has happened. Yet. I am trying to do the best by him. And me. So far...I am working myself to death fixing all he broke. Balancing life with coming there and here and outings. Thank you for all you do.it might have saved my life...I just hate his life is awful. No place is perfect. For we are not perfect. Yet they strive to be the best. And their energy is positive and sweet...I have just witnessed a few that might not be so happy. .I an old fashioned. Whatever job I had. I made sure no matter what I did it great!

I am happy that I found this facility for my father. The appearance upon entry is very inviting and warm which is to match staff that is positioned at the front desk. Like every place there may be a moment where I need to question something but with Sodalis all my questions and/or concerns have been met with sincerity and a prompt course of action. This is very important to me since my father's welfare is of the upmost importance. Overall, I am grateful for Sodalis and the staff employed there. My father appears to have a good relationship with the direct care staff and they reciprocate a lighthearted spirit also. I'm sure they deserve so much credit for all the effort they put forth that is "behind the scenes" so to speak and again, overall I'm very grateful my father is under their care! Thank you.

Based on the comparisons for our loved one after looking at several other communities, we knew right away that Sodalis Largo was going to be the place for our loved one. The appearance of the facility, the demeanor and friendliness of the staff and basically their interest in taking care of our loved one persuaded us to make that decision and we are so happy we did. The other communities were not anywhere close to what Sodalis Largo could provide. We needed a locked memory care unit and for us that was a big safety concern

Mom loves the community and the staff for the most part. Compliments the food on a daily basis. A couple things that need to be addressed: 1. New carpet needed in my mom's apartment. She has been told many times it was being replaced and it still has not and she has lived there for four years. 2. New counter tops needed in my mom's apartment. Same as carpet...been told many times it's being replaced but still has not been done. 3. The Price increase. Since Sodalis has taken over, the price has been raised two times. There have not been any updates made in my mom's apartment. You are raising rates on seniors; people that are on fixed incomes. STOP RAISING THE PRICING!!! First a 2% increase now a 10% increase. Can understand to a point. However, enough is enough.

This is a great place to bring your loved ones it’s always something going on like activities and outings. They have a great team. The staff is always here to give a helping hand to take care of all your needs

Overall, it's very clean, and they are in the proces of repainting. My loved ones room could be cleaned more often. They are short staffed, but they do the best that they can. They can improve on the quality food. They are very good with the activities. The value for the money is pretty good. It's a smaller community, and close to our home.

The people were all very knowledgeable and kind. I felt like when I told them that I had decided on another place they just kind of dumped me. I do still get tons of emails from their organization for support groups.

Sodalis Victoria Assisted Living is a very nice facility and based on the experience we would recommend them to other families. We like how encouraging the staff are with the residents when it comes to the activities. We did have a couple of issues with the night staff but that got straightened. They could be better with the washing process and just making sure things don't go missing .

Actually, for the short time that my loved one was there, problems were few. They didn't serve a dessert with meals unless you asked. They lock the doors at 5:30 PM! That's way too early. To get out , you have to just stand at the door hoping the skeleton crew on nights happened to walk-by. That is really my only complaint. I would recommend the facility.

I think they just need more staff. That would solve all the short comings. All in all its acceptable for the price.

The primary asset of Sodalis Lake Jackson was being close to family and the facility is mid-sized, we like that because you really get to know the staff.

We have only had experience with skilled nursing to compare to, we may not be the best judge but based on the experience we have had so far we would recommend Sodalis Deer Park to other families.

We chose Sodalis Martinez because he was already with hospice and they are connected with that company, so it made the whole transition a really smooth process. One of the main things that I was grateful for was the communication to the family from the staff members in memory care. I would recommend them to others looking.

We really the layout of the community and all the decorations it is all very cute. However our loved one does not like the taste o the meals because it is not really seasoned but the service is really good. we do think they could be better about knocking on the door before entering our loved ones room.

The sales lady [name removed] was just awesome she gave us a great first impression. We really liked Sodalis Martinez but of their shuttle service - our love one has a scooter and this community was able to facilitate doctor trips for our loved one using their transportation and they are able to send a nurse with our loved one. Based on our experience we would recommend this community to other families.

I would recommend you look into the community for your loved ones. The friendliness of the staff and the director or nursing is very understanding and knowledgeable. The Activities Director is amazing at getting the residents involved in the activities and decorating. We love our experience here. The staff truly get to the know the residents and family during the stay. My loved one really enjoys the food offered. There are three meals a day served, and if the resident doesn't like what is being served they can ask for something different. Some of the activities available include: bingo, a courtyard for walking, gardening, karaoke, and more for the residents to participate in. This community is amazing! The community is on the smaller side with approximately 50 residents.
