Pros: Nice facility with friendly knowledgeable staff. Flexible pricing structure. Food and activity options seem good Cons: Memory care wing has only shared rooms. Other [removed] Residents segregated by level of functioning, move from one building to another as they deteriorate. This could be good or bad, depending.

Beautiful but too pricey

My mother-in-law didn't like that they other residents were so old there so she wanted to move. As far as I could tell everyone was very nice and it was a good place, very clean.

It was actually a pretty good choice but they were expensive for the same care that we could get at another place. At the time we were trying to move my wife they were having some sort of management change or something, I think. Otherwise they would have been a good option for us.

This was a lovely place but it was quite a bit more expensive. The lady that showed us around was very nice3.

All of the staff are caring and helpful. The rooms, hallways and open spaces have lots of light from the many large windows. The decorating is very pretty. There are many options for individualized care and for group,participation. The meals are often tastey and appealing. The outdoor paths and landscaping are nice. My mother is happy there. Don't assume all needs are understood by everyone. Watch for lack of communication.

Smaller, comfortable setting. Very familiar w/residents.

The office staff have been wonderful. My parents are adjusting to being on a "schedule", and say everyone is friendly. Still working out glitches with meds, and communication. But as a whole, it has been a good experience.

Everyone seems to be very friendly and helpful. There are times where I might have to call to remind or get something done or need a couple times, but very good about everything.

Staff is very friendly and attentive. Staff greet all residents by name and I believe there is very good care being provided. Some administrative difficulties were encountered getting billing straight and getting scheduled to see resident doctor but those were worked out satisfactorily. Overall I recommend this facility for someone needing daily assistance/oversight, but not needing nursing home level of care (although various Care Levels are available). Cost is significantly lower than a nursing home also.

They were very nice over there, it was just a little farther away. It has assisted living and memory care which, at the time I was looking, I didn't realize that would be a good thing, I thought it would have been bad. When everybody in the facility is memory care, it's complete and total chaos, if you have a better mix, it just seems to be better for the memory care people, maybe not for the assisted living people.

Wonderful facility. This would be my 3rd choice.

They were more open and airy and bright and it looked more liek the coast but it didn't look like my mother. It was much busier, but that was because a lot of people that go here did a lot of things in their life and they offer them things to keep them active and moving. My mother was more of a home body and was more comfortable staying in at home so this wasn't a good fit for her.

Everything is very clean, I have found that the staff who take care of the patients are excellent, my aunt does particiapte in some activities but with her Alzheimer's it's difficult, they do have some memory care activities though. She's been in good spirits when I see her and I see her quite often because it's so close. There has been some miscommunication with the business office with moving her in and some other things but they've been working with us to get it straightened out. The staff has been excellent, I'd like to keep her there if I can, if there's further miscommunication with the business then I might reconsider and keep our options open. I go in at different times of day and I always find the place to be clean and the staff is excellent, they have really exceeded expectations.

He's only been there a couple of weeks but at this point the price seems fair, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to do it, I would like to see them lower though. The care seems to be good, they're very solicitous of him trying to get him to participate so I'm very pleased with that. There are activities, he right now has a lot of medical problems he's been trying to keep up on so they've been calling me about this and that and they've been calling me a lot keeping me in tune with what's going on.

This facility seems nice. They were in the process of doing a little remodeling. It is one level set in a square so you can't really get lost in it. Several rooms for activities, as well as an outdoor area. When I was there the residents were outside under a shaded area participating in activites. Everyone seemed happy and the staff was friendly. It is located close to the Interstate in a Very nice area of town.

Liked this place. I really liked the studio room, but no rooms are available at this time.

They're willing to give difficult folks with behavioral issues a chance. They have that secure assisted living or enhanced memory care and those are the folks that we see here, behavioral disturbance folks and they're oftentimes difficult to palce. The Wellstead has been willing to consider folks who have those kidns of difficulties, typically aggression which we see here.

rooms are small. the staff is very caring and the services are great.

The cleanliness is where I've had a little problem but I can't say it's Elmcroft's fault. My father isn't happy there so he doesn't want anyone coming in the room to clean it. The actual community is very clean - it's just my father's room that's not as clean as I would like. It's expensive but apparently that's the going rate. They seem to be attentive to my father's needs. He's just not being cooperative right now. One of the reasons that we chose Elmcroft was that it was a little bit smaller, not as many residents.
