nice hallways, decorations not overdone, reminiscent of Spring Arbor, no code for getting in memory unit, code for getting out, residents do not hear the alarm (a plus for me), alarm is at nurse's station and downstairs, doctors come in to building, would have to take mom out for dentist, aging in place, pee smell by some rooms as we entered the memory care unit, cleaning was occurring at same time, apt was great, prime location for mom, right at nurses' station and dining area, could put lift chair in common area for mom to sit in. Executive Director was very responsive to care concerns and seemed understanding of concerns and needs.

Attractive facility. Verbal description was intriguing. Looking forward to a tour of the facility.

Good possibility. 1 BR $2513 / mo, + care, 10+ meds $350/mo. If she declines while living there, they keep her. Dayton and Parker - out by Dad. Not sure how neighborhood is...

Very nice facility. Multi story building with common areas on first floor and rooms on upper 2 floors. Room sizes adequate.

This is the 1st place we toured and we were pleasantly surprised. One of our concerns however was that they were more like apartments and we're concerned that my mother-in-law will stay in her room 24/7 because of the closed door situation. I would be more comfortable with an open door policy so residents can be peeked in on just by walking by and feel that she will be more apt to socialize with an open door and also be less apt to socialize with a closed door. That said, the room itself and the overall environment was very nice.

Independent 1bd /2 people $2250 in the 2 story Terrace bdg. incl phone+ cable, $500 nonrefund. fee. Terrace is the same bdg. as dining incl. one meal/day for two people serving all day. Meals $5 each after the 2/day. Indoor heated pool. 11 acreas Full kitchen. No patio/balcony, grassy areas where residents walk out from their rms and sit 'not a lot of rules' Big windows in lvgm/bdrm.

very clean and inviting. building design was good and bright. staff was pleasant. very very quiet annd not a lot of activity. not smelly and space was good.

Met with director today. Impressed by her. Seemed very clean, grounds were nice, needed to mow the lawn in some areas, lots of plants,7 buildings,2 buildings for more dependent patients (not dad), 5 ranch style homes have 6 residents living there more independent with a "caregiver"- non nurse that lives in house, but 24/7 ER care if needed. Large kitchen/dining area with family room, community tv/internet. Can get internet in their rooms. On site: salon, MDs can see patients. Families welcomed anytime.

I like this location alot, and price point was quite reasonable. This is a strong option.

My favorite. My mom is open to take a tour. This is my first option. It's warm and inviting with good views from most rooms. No views of just a parking lot and street. I really liked the director. She was professional but warm. The size was right. Not too big not too small. But especially that the staff gets involved with making introductions and finding the right fit of personalities. Many of the other facilities felt the socializtion and accalmation to the residents. Meaning the extaverts are incharge. My mother isn't an extravert and would be put off by this.

Nice 2-BR apt with balcony. Kitchenette small but adequate.

All staff were great. Really a community feel here. I wish they had a memory unit and secure facility for memory patients. Really love the pets being allowed and the shadow boxes outside rooms. I just wish for the great price that they included furniture. since Dad has minimal items!

Nice campus and rooms. Large community with many activities. Adjacent to Dishman Nature area. [removed] Move required from independent living to assisted living (differnt building). Not on south hill. 18 months to 2 years before accepts medicaid.
