When we arrived, we found that the person we thought we had a tour scheduled with was no longer there. However, [name removed] made time for us and did a good job in telling us all about the facility and services. Our only issue was the size of the 1 bedroom, a little too small for my mom. We plan to go with another facility.

This facility is very large and has lots of amenities. The studio's are on the small side and the halls are narrow so if a motorized scooter was being used, it would be a challenge. The staff all seemed very nice. The units were clean as well as the common area's. [Name removed] gave us a tour and the rates are higher than what you gave us, though they could do a couple of units for the rate you quoted? [Name removed] was not able to talk about any of the nursing services or costs though which was odd as I was there to look into assisted living options. This place would be good for more active seniors.

Love the community of people. Its a smaller group of residents and is exactly what I'm looking towards "a place for Mom".

Magnolia is a wonderful community for your loved one. The staff is always welcoming. The only disturbing problem seems to be the communication with MD2U and family members. Family should be informed of medication changes and in-house procedure that are done. This has been an ongoing problem and is a big concern.

Nice complex; tour was very complete and time was well spent. Impresses with the size of the rooms. Common areas clean and active with residents.

I think Birchwoods is a great place homey and comfortable atmosphere. The employees have always been friendly and helpful. It's a shame that a disgruntle employee gives family members false information and negativity.

This place looks very nice, relatively new and well kept up. While I had no opportunity to taste the food, the available variety was nice. The rooms were well done and the common areas were light and airy. The price was less than one of the residential care homes I've visited.

Facility and staff were very good. Care was excellent in memory care. Food was good. Relative lived there 2 years until he needed more skilled care. WOuld recommend this facility to family, friends or anyone looking for this type of care.

Brookdale Western Hills is a friendly and welcoming community. Staff and management are all cheerful friendly people that one can easily imagine leaving a loved one with. The accommodations are warm and roomy, clean and accessible, the activities many and entertaining.

This place was very nice and the sales team was very helpful. This place was just a little to far from where we needed my dad to be.

Emphasis of dignity of residents. They have assisted living and memory care but no nursing care. Hospice will come in. Very nice PT and OT site. Nurse only during the day. Community fee waived for veterans. Monthly rent starts at $3400 for a small studio, no kitchenette. 1 bedroom deluxe is $5000 per month. Care maxs out at $1030/month which would take care of someone who is bed ridden, needs help bathing, toileting, and eating. Medication management is an additional $285 or $480 per month. VA benefit allows an 5% discount per month. 80 total residents, capacity of 115. That may be a warning flag as they have plenty of openings.

Really like this facility and have chosen it for my grandmother. However, I am disturbed that they will not allow a lease more than two weeks prior to the effective date. Simply put, if you do not want to pay rent on two places you need to give notice and schedule your move in the hope that something is available.

We loved Rittenhouse Village when we toured there, and thought it seemed like a great community. However, it is a larger community, and I worried that my loved one would not do as well in such a big place. We decided a smaller community might be a better fit.

Facility is lovely and Office Manager was very gracious and informative. 66 bed facility has South and north sections to differentiate levels of care needed. Staff longevity is a good indicator of stability at this facility that’s been in operation since 2006.

Very nice facility, studio apartments are large, nice L-shape floor plan with nice kitchenette and large closets. Also allow dogs! Big plus.

They seemed wonderful in the way they directed their staff and care. I spent one afternoon visiting here and I liked what I saw quite a bit. I think it’s probably a very good place, especially for residents who might have more challenging issues. It’s one level and small and the staff there has been around for a while so I think they have a good track record. They did a great job in introducing me to the place and showing me around. There’s also a walking path available that the residents can take advantage of. Ultimately, I chose a different community because my Mom didn’t need quite as much care but this one is very nice.

I took a tour here and didn’t care for it much. The facility is an old tuberculosis hospital so it had a very institutional feel to it. Knowing my Mom, I knew she wouldn’t be comfortable here. I didn’t see a lot of residents out and about during my tour. However, the person that gave me the tour was able to answer all of my questions and seemed to know a lot about the facility. It was clean and nice but overall, while the facility might be nice for someone else, it just wasn’t the right fit for my Mom.
