I toured 4 stand alone assisted living care centers and chose Elmcroft. My parents were both living in a different community and the assistance for my mother was not enough so we needed to make a change (she is basically wheelchair bound at age 90). I liked the size of Elmcroft as it was not too large and my parents get plenty of the assistance they need. It is clean, and they really like the meals, which for my folks is saying a lot!

We moved my dad into Elmcroft in Arlington about 6 weeks ago, and I've been extremely pleased. The administrative staff, especially Angela (the director) is excellent and always available to me and to the residents. I've seen many of the staff stop to talk to residents in the hallways or in the dining room. They always know their names and other relevant facts about the person, and are a very cheerful, calming presence. The food is quite good, and the activities director, Don, is amazing. Don is honestly the original reason we decided on Elmcroft. He is so full of energy, exudes happiness, and is most compassionate with the residents. He's been able to get my dad involved in the games, activities and exercise program.. ... when previously he had just been sitting in a chair all day. Claudia, the community sales person, has helped with every facet from the move-in to getting the pharmacy delivery and doctor visits arranged. She's another happy face that greets everyone when they walk in. Betty at the reception desk is wonderful as well. All in all, it's a beautiful place, very clean with a warm, loving atmosphere.

I had a good feeling about Elmcroft when I first visited, and found the people very friendly and experienced. After a few weeks, I've not altered my position. The staff is very conscientious and appears to be not a lot of turnover. Also, the food is surprisenly good. The residents seem to be quite content.

I moved my parents to the Wellstead memory care a few weeks ago. They were not doing well in their previous placement. The staff was very welcoming and has been very caring. Some accommodations have been made for my father's picky eating, and both my parents and their rooms are kept very clean. The activities are wonderful and there are music programs almost every day. Family members are always welcomed and my experience thus far is that both the nursing staff and the aides truly listen to what family members have to say and incorporate requests into care. Both parents are now smiling and laughing and I feel that I am able to go home and sleep knowing that they are consistently well cared for, for the first time in a long while.

Things have gone very well with Sterling House so far, they've done a great job. They really go the extra mile to make sure that the residents needs are met. My loved one has some specific care needs, and they've been more than accommodating when it comes to working with us to get them taken care of.

They are doing very good so far. It's clean, the staff are friendly. They take good care of the residents, there. I don't have any complaints so far. We are happy with them. It seems to be working out well.

Our experience with Leisure Park has been wonderful so far, my loved one really seems to be enjoying herself here! The sales person we worked with before moving in, Stacy, did a phenomenal job. She was helpful and informative. I really have no complaints whatsoever, the staff, the food, and the overall environment are all wonderful. The one thing I've noticed they could do better is to install some video surveillance in their parking lot, my wife's car was keyed on the day we were moving our loved one in.

They are great. The people are what set them apart from everyone else. These people genuinely cared for their residents. The residents are in charge, and everyone does what's needed regardless of their job title. If a resident needs their dog walked, and there is no one else the maintenance man will do it. We are very upset that we need to move our loved one due to a change in care needs. We really liked it here.

I had moved Mother from another memory care facility, which I didn't like. They had trouble with special diets, for instance for people who couldn't chew. She didn't like it there. The room here in Kyle for memory care was $1100 cheaper a month than the last place. The Orchard Park place offers more services and special diets. They cater more to people in memory care who need special services than the last place did. The guy in charge of it is very involved with everything. I was happy with the place, and would recommend others atleast take a look at it..

It's very clean, and the staff is very nice. They were very competitive. I am very pleased with them. The food is okay, no complaints and it looks good, and she is putting on a little weight. I really like the small cottage concept, with fifteen or so residents in each. It feels more like a family, with a kitchen and a living room and a dining room in each cottage, and then their rooms. They are very accommodating, she likes her room, and they let her walk around the neighborhood. They have family activities, they had a fall festival, and it was a blast. I couldn't be happier, it's like a community. They let her have her cat. There is already someone there when you walk in. The staff really seem to enjoy their job, and each other. I am very pleased we found this place.

Since it's brand new, it's very, very clean They're all about the same price, so it's hard to compare them on value. It's convenient to me because it's on the way home from work. I haven't encountered any problems with his care. Once a week they go to some local area store for shopping. They have bingo, dancing, and kiss bingo (with hershey kisses), exercise class, a salon, and medical staff, during the day.

Elmcroft of Ontario did a great job looking after my Dad. The facility itself was a nice looking, well run, clean place, and the staff were all very friendly. They seemed to do an excellent job looking after all of my residents, and they did their best to make sure Dad was comfortable.

Somerford House: They have been very helpful, and provided us with useful information. Everyone is very friendly, and staff is very nice. There are people always available if you need anything or have questions. They offer quite a few activities as well. Overall I'm satisfied with the services of Somerford House.

Great facility. Great staff. We are very happy with the home environment provided to our mom.

We've had a great experience with Elmcroft of Lorain so far. The staff have all been very friendly and easy to work with. The Director of Nursing is very hands on, very accessible, and really impressed me with how she works with the residents. The admissions process was also very streamlined and easy to work through. They also do a great job with the food, she says the meals have always been good, and if she doesn't like what they are serving that night they've always been willing to fix her something else.

We're very happy with Meadowmere Oak Creek Senior Living. The staff is very nice and accommodating.. The transition was very easy, and they worked well with the family. My loved one is very happy, a d adjusting well.

Edgewood Arbor IS Arbor World. A safe, kind, patient world filled with priorities in the right places. Attention to details abound, IF you wish to see what happens in a day for residents. Grandma in a food soiled blouse means SHE wanted to feed herself today—and was allowed to do so... Dad unshaven this morning means HE was a bit feisty with his elbows..(shaving WILL happen)... when he is ready to accept help. When resident is declining health/ final week of life, EACH worker fits together forming a loving, communicating, tireless team…. My Father enjoyed every day at Edgewood Arbor. He was re-directed with gentle words when lost, agitated, or having a curiously busy day….plus, he was greeted hourly, with witty humor, smiles, & HUGS….Arbor employees offer genuine quality care. Please consider Arbor from the perspective of the resident, rather than how you live your life. Real people work for your family member’s comfort at Edgewood Arbor.

We have loved this place for our Mom. She chooses her activities and gets a choice for meals. Staff are friendly to us and our Mom. Her room is cleaned weekly and laundry is done. Medication is given properly and on time. It's new and beautiful inside. We are blessed to have my Mom here.
