Great new place. Needs improvement in certain places. Have had a couple of issues. Some have been resolved. Looking into moving my mother into a more hands on nursing care place. Plus we have a language barrier with her and. I Spanish speaking people to communicate with her.

The rent went up without anyone letting me know. I know my mom is at the top for care but I feel rent and care are very expensive and now it's gone up another [fee removed] a month. It's at the point now her monthly income cannot cover expenses. If you have any ideas or ways to help or assistance in this I'd love to hear! Overall my mom is happy at the facility. I am very pleased with the care! Price is the only thing.

The music they play in the foyer is both too loud and certainly not enjoyable to the residents. Staff picks of "modern" music is not what I believe their residents would choose

Overall, the pearl has been great - it's never easy and I don't think anyone could earn a 5 overall, but they've been great, very supportive and helpful. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would absolutely recommend The Pearl Senior Living to other families.

Management doesn't always follow through with requests. The staff are friendly and it is a good value for the money.

I'm so glad I moved my mom here. The place is always clean. The atmosphere is calm and inviting. The residents seem well cared for. I would give it 4.5 stars because no place is perfect..I recommend visiting at different times to see if it's a good place for your loved one. I haven't been there during activities so I couldn't rate.

The only real complaints I have is with regard to tenant and visitor access. The system in place for securing patients is not by any means 100% effective. I have found the door to main access unlocked or open several times in the recent past. A more effective approach to keeping the access door closed at all times would be to incorporate a mechanical closing device. Using such a device would more likely keep the door secure thus allowing tenants to have the access code and not have to tie up personnel assets for the purpose of monitoring the one and only tenant and visitor access point. This would also help to keep people from having to wait in the elements for someone to open the door from the inside

The staff interaction at Brookdale Longview is great. They all seem friendly and attentive. We have sat with our family and also ate some meals. What we ate was good. Plates are well arranged and attractive. I think the housekeeping could improve. We would recommend Brookdale Longview Senior Living to others. We have recommended it already to some friends for their loved one.

The staff has all been amazing. Kind, helpful and quick to respond. We have had to also get a private care giver to meet my families needs.

For the most part, it was the best place for my loved one. Most of the employees were wonderful but night visits, it was harder to find staff for questions or concerns. Most definitely one of the nicest and cleanest facilities I've been in. The regular staff who cared for my loved one was great. Weekend staff and overnight wasn't as attentive. RN wasn't always available and some staff wasn't as attentive to my loved one's needs and he did have several falls resulting in injury. Meals and snacks are far better than most facilities. Facility provided daily/weekly activities for residents that they seemed to enjoy. The price we paid for the care and comfort that was provided was worth it.

I toured this facility and it was ok. Not quite what we were looking for personally, but it was good.

Elan Corpus Christi staff is really wonderful and very caring. My loved ones were in memory care. Something to consider is that they are rated as assisted living so as my parents began to decline physically some things were very hard to manage. I called in hospice for both and that helped a lot. They also don't have one on one care so if your parent declines enough that they require that kind of help, it's additional cost to the resident. I would say overall we had a very good experience here.

We toured with Brookdale N. Fredericksburg Road and thought the facility was very nice - it just had a different feel to it and did not have that open concept that we were looking for for my loved one.

My father has been in Brookdale N. on Fredericksburg Rd. in San Antonio for a few months. So far, so good. Like other businesses they struggle to keep staff, but the core management team is solid and attentive. They seem stretched pretty thin on staff, but do a decent job. The admin and maintenance folks are great. The cleanliness of the overall facility needs to be improved though. When I have raised concerns or when we've had issues, Ross and team have been attentive and responsive. The value for price is OK, but the add on services can get pricey and need t o be monitored. All in all, a good facility in a decent area of town and good team.

We really think the staff were very caring and really wanted to make sure all of the residents felt at home. Our loved one did not participate in the activities but from what we saw it seemed like the offered a good amount. We were not able to have a meal there ourselves but our loved one always just bragged about how good all the different meal options were.

This was a good community, it was more than we wanted to spend.

It is in a great location because of where it it set. They did a really good job and it was well thought out, if you go outside there is a lot of places to be and walk around. The facility inside is well laid out as well. They set it up so every time one of the residents in memory care opens a door it looks like they are stepping into a living room so it feels more like home rather a hotel feel, that really caught my attention. It is a newer place and they incorporated a lot of natural light too.

My sister and I toured Brookdale when we were looking for assisted living places for our parents. We happened to meet the sales manager who gave us a tour of the studio apartment. She was extremely helpful and provided the most information of anyone we have come across in our journey. She is a great asset to Brookdale and we learned a lot from her in the short time we spoke. Fortunately, our parents are able to stay in their home for the time being, so we have put our search on hold for now. However, I am so glad we had the opportunity to meet the sales manager.

Experience has been excellent overall. The staffing shortages have hindered better performance there. The activities are getting better. The leadership cares about the residents.

One of the big reasons why I picked Brookdale is because the director at the time [name removed] I really liked her personality and enthusiasm. We had scheduled a meeting and she was gone and we were not aware. Whenever I try to call or the doctor calls it is very hard to get a hold of the nursing staff. They have been very helpful and friendly but communication is something that they could definitely improve on. Some of her things have gone missing so I think it would beneficial if they could take inventory of residents belongings.
