Serene Gardens

We felt strongly Mom needed a place that would meet her changing needs, we contacted a place for Mom. We toured a few facilities, Serene Garden of Clarkston was the first and best tour we had. All communications have been wonderful, we have had no surprises, all her needs are included in one price. We are so happy to see her thrive in her new bright and happy environment. Prayers have been answered.

My mother was placed by myself as I fell in love with The Cottage of Davison. The warm colors, murals on the walls, the themes of each room. The staff was very patient with her as she had dementia and struggled to walk at most times. She was getting weaker as time went on, her body was just giving up. I was greated warmly as I was there almost every day at least once. She was there just under a month. And now she is laid at peace with my dad.

Sent my husband to Serene Gardens. The nursing supervisor had him sent to [name removed] as he had been to [name removed] twice. They found a bowel obstruction and aspiration pneumonia which [name removed] missed. He is doing well now with their care. My husband has dementia and he was combative. Not many facilities would take him. He is very happy there and they have his behavior under control also.

The tour experience was great. Everyone was friendly and [name removed] was very knowledgeable. It is great. I would definitely recommend it.

Our loved one is very happy at the Serene Gardens of Grand Blanc. What we like the most about the community is the staff members. The staff are very nice, they call our loved one by her name. There are a lot of different activities as well for the residents to get involved in. We would recommend this community to other families looking into the community.

My only "complaints" are we didn't know that Bella Vita was sold until the day it happened. They are understaffed, but they are really trying to make it work. There have been issues with medication being given because it has run out. But, I have been told that they are switching pharmaceutical companies to resolve the issues. Meals were poor during the transition but are great now. I would like to see more activities or day trips or getting involved in the local senior citizen center.

What we like the most about The Avalon of Auburn Hills community is the friendly staff and the great care. However, is it kind of pricy though. Based on the experience we have had, we would recommend them to other families.

The staff really care about the residents. When mom got very ill the hospital said the assisted living would not take her back. She had a trach and hospice. The woman in charge said to me: she is family. Bring her here and we'll figure it out. I was so glad I didn't have to find another place. My mom passed away [date removed]. This is a newer community. Bella Vita bills the pharmacy for my loved one's medications, and then the pharmacy bills me. The community caters to each resident's dietary needs and this is wonderful to see. This is a wonderful place. The community and staff follow guidelines and this is fabulous.

My family highly recommends Bella Vita,our experience was excellent.Our mother was well cared for by an amazing staff and property owner.They exceeded our expectations with what they provide the residents for the price compared to other facilities we reviewed.But the real story is the Bella Vita employees,they are truly special people.

They have taken very good care of my mother, she is end stage dementia and arrived in very bad shape from the previous facility. Her CNA [name removed]at Serene Gardens should get a medal! A raise for sure, she immediately assessed my mother when she got there and said she would do everything in her power to get my mother's skin infections and sores under control and she looked me straight in the eyes and promised she would and that she would be cared for properly at Serene. So far she has! The rest of the staff that helps care for my mother are also amazing. The food is not the greatest but not the worst either. Reminds me of school cafeteria food. A lot of seniors don't have much of an appetite to begin with, so nutrition needs to be appealing.

My Mother has lived at Pineview for close to 2 years, and it has been absolutely wonderful for her! The staff truly feel like family, and they do so much more than care for the residents. The people that live there are rarely alone in their rooms, instead they gather together in the main living rooms for crafts, movies, puzzles and music therapy. The facility is immaculate, and the food would rival that of most local restaurants. We couldn't have dreamed of a more perfect place for our Mom. The best part is she really does refer to it as "home", which is such a comfort to us!

The staff is all very friendly it is very clean. Whenever we call for assistance you always have to leave a message and usually do not get a returned call until after 3 or 4 calls. Overall it's a great place

We had a great tour experience with Serene Gardens of Sterling Heights. The facility was beautiful, the rooms were clean and very nice. The downfall was how large the facility was. It might be good for someone in assisted living, but for someone with dementia who would get lost easily, I do not think it would be a good fit. The price was decent comparatively.

I experienced your facility for a family fall event. Was so impressed with the staff for their kindness to the residents and families. Also, the grounds and buildings are beautiful inside and outside. Was so impressed with everything. Also the executive director was very informative and kind.

Our family was faced with having to make an emergency placement of our father & mother in April of this year. We live 2,500 miles away so do not have any local connections or people who could have helped us find a great place. We are so blessed that The Cottage of Davison was able to take both parents and keep them together. The staff treated them with love and respect and made sure that every need was taken care of. Everyone from the cooks to the facility manager treated my parents like they were their own. The facility was always clean and orderly and the staff was always engaged with the residents whether it was doing crafts or helping with exercise. They always made themselves available when ever we were able to visit. [name removed] and [name removed] went out of their way to help us set up zoom meetings when we couldn't be there and sent videos to us. Serene Gardens has been an amazing experience so far we have nothing but great things to say about all of the staff members there. On the day our loved one was moving in there was a mix up with the person who arranged the move in date and property manager - they were not ready for our loved one but they worked some things out and took our loved one in. They went above and beyond to make sure they were able to accommodating up They also have worked with us financially and we would recommend this community to other families.

Extremely favorable and a strong vote to reach out to. Consider for this service.

Excellent customer service, [name removed] and [name removed] answered all my questions. Staff was polite and was very caring. Activity and food calendar was exactly what my mom and dad loved. I left here with the peace of mind that my parents would be cared for and well taken care.
