I have been reading the reviews below and it shouldn't matter if the location is good or the staff is friendly or the food is fresh or the activities are swell. What matters is the care and the swiftness of the response to the residents and in that area, Antebellum and the management fail. Residents are kept waiting too long and they are not attended to quickly. I see residents wet for hours before someone comes to care for them. Bottom line is they don't have enough people working, day or night and until this changes, this community gets an F. Grossly understaffed. We have been here from the beginning. They opened to early.

The building was nice.Shana not there.Had no empty rooms/Said my appointment was at the 1101 Grove and I do not think I need to be in there.

This was not a[removed] place for our mom. They could not get her meds correct and didn't appear to be very concerned about it either. We moved her out [removed].

My mother lost 15lbs in a month there because they were not coming to get her for meals. They just let her sleep all the time so she got down to 95lbs and she is 5'8". She fell numerous times and she layed there on the floor for god knows how long until somebody found her.

My mother lived here for two of the worst months of her life. She was ambulent and pretty self sufficient when she moved in in [date removed]. She had 1 fall in 5 years at her previous facility and here she had 4 falls in less than 3 weeks. The last one split her head and fractured her foot which left her bed bound. In a short 2 weeks she developed a level 2 bedsore and a gangrenous wound on her foot that was neglected. They didn't change her regularly or position her properly. She couldn't feed herself and they would drop off containers with food on her lap and leave. Her room smelled like urine and her trash was always full. Her TV cable was installed running loose across her closet door and there was no accessible switch to turn the lights on or off on her fan. These caused 2 of her falls. The facility was always short staffed and 2 caretakers that we know of were fired in the time she was there. There was never anyone around and when we visited, we had to go try to find them and there was often no more than 2 people on staff. One of the caretakers that we went to get to change her one time pulled her shirt over her nose and mouth when she was changing her and had to stop because she was heaving and going to vomit. The were residents yelling for help incessantly and the hallways stank of urine and trash. There were full trash bags in the hall all the time. I had to borrow their vacuum and cleaning supplies to clean her room because it was so filthy and disgusting. When I tried to return it there was no of there so I left it in the hall and it was still there the next day. One night I took mother out for dinner. When I brought her back, I put her purse on her desk and the next morning it was gone! The staff stole her Coach purse and wallet. We filed a police report. When we moved her out they tried to charge us for the remaining two weeks of the month even though they admitted they could no longer care for her properly. When I wrote to them detailing the above they quickly refunded the money. There is so much much more to tell, but my point is RUN away from The Pointe. Lots of promises of a small quaint community but it is the worst place to put your loved one. I couldn't live with myself if I didn't warn everyone about this place. My Mom passed away 2 weeks after we moved her out.

If you truly love your parents.. grandmother etc.do not consider this community. Starting from Management this community needs help.

We had to move my father back into our home. His back account was emptied constantly, due to staff taking cash for services that are supposed to be included, according to the lease agreement. When this was brought up to management they filed an unfounded adult protective services claim. APS recommended that we file a fraud complaint. They even provided us the contact info for the complaint. I wouldn't recommend ANYONE to this place, ever.

The tall guy in kitchen [name removed] is so gross, I heard him talking about taking pictures of girls at the gym, what if he's taking pictures of the girls that work in kitchen, or the ladies that live there or anyone that is visiting? Is he posting them online

I would not recommend Regal Estates - they assessed my Mother and claimed she was fit to live there. Two weeks later they insisted she move as she didn't fit their criteria.

Horrible management team.

I live at Garden Estates and I can tell you first hand that if any problem arises at the facility that might effect the residence you can bet that the first thought is to favor the company and to [Removed] with the customers. The only plus for the facility is their rooms presently the food is of the poorest quality.

I moved my Dad out of here, because the standard of care is terrible. My Dad complained about the food being so bad, and they said they would work on fixing some things, and they never did, this went on for over a year. All they care about it money. Do yourself a favor and do not put your loved ones here!!!

The employees of the "medication room" bring their children to work and they hang out in the "medication room". This is a major distraction to the employees and puts the residents at high risk for obvious reasons. No children should be allowed where medication is kept and the "medication room" should not double as a daycare facility.

I would not recommend this community to anybody. My mother had a horrible experience, and had to go to the hospital a couple of times. She fell twice, and was only in this community a total of seven days. I moved her out of this community immediately.

My mother lived here, and she had a terrible experience. The assistance was not as promised, the helpers were rude and uncaring. They treat everyone like a paycheck, instead of a resident. They made many promises when we toured, and before we moved in, but once mom moved in, their whole attitude changed - and not for the better. If you complain, they will listen and pretend to care, but nothing gets done, it is only a façade. Most residents complain about the food, and they even have a "town hall" type meeting where residents can voice their complaints, and they say they will look into your concern, then later come back and say they have to use the vendors set up by their corporate office - they have been doing this for years, so why pretend you are looking into anything, when you already know the answer? This was the biggest waste of money, and the worst experience. Cannot recommend this place. Buyer Beware!

If you are looking for a community that ignores your loves ones, has too few staff members, allows residents and their beds to be wet all day, serves cold middles school cafeteria food, has juvenile activities, has little compassion for those they are paid to serve, but gives great tours and can give a heck of a sales pitch, this is the place for you.

My mother is living at the Pointe now. They are not taking care of my mother. She sits in wet and dirty diapers for days. She has gone as much as a month without a shower. She and her room reeks of urine. The excuse is she won't let us bath her or she won't let us change her. No one is trained to deal with this situation. They do not do the things listed on the care contract and do not make excuses for not taking care of her they just do not care. I just hired a person to come help with her care. I do everything bathing, laundry, cleaning, diapers changing etc. I need help with these items so hiring help was my only choice. I am moving her at the end of the month. She has fallen several times and had been in the hospital as a result of the falls, three times. They are so understaffed and ill trained they could not take care of a young person. My mother is 100 years old and living like this is cruel. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

We were here when the doors opened. Sadly the comments below are true. This place is constantly in flux. They are always losing good cooks, good staff, good nurses. Management acts as if they are doing us a favor, taking our hard earned dollars and housing our loved ones. Not to be nasty, but the mindset should be that they work with and for us to care for our loved ones, not the other way around. This place houses seniors, they don't care for them. The owners sneak in and out of the building without talking to the residents and their families about their concerns. They don't want to get their hands dirty trying to improve things. With the right management and mindset, this place could be wonderful. When corporate types with no experience run places like this, care, service, food, staff and mostly residents suffer. Until someone who actually cares about the residents takes a hard look at this place and what is wrong, they will continue to fall short.

When we got here, the food was great. There were issues with limited staffing but that was being worked on. The management was actually interested in improving things and helped out when there was not enough staff. Several months later, the food is awful, management has changed hands and they are not interested in improving things and good CNAs are leaving. The local representative says below that we should speak to the executive director. WE HAVE and other families have and he is not interested in our concerns or the decline in service or the fact they NEVER EVER have enough staff or the half a dozen other complaints we have. The owners have to know things are bad but they are not interested in meeting with the families. They come into the building and you never know they are here. They dare not meet with the families because we have an ear full for them. Our loved ones deserve so much better than they are getting.

Greatwood has gone downhill in several years from poor management to things going wrong in the building. Building had flood and the whole front office was flooded where there was mold on walls and it had to be redone. Carpet and the rest of the building is old and they only patch up things at time to make it look ok. They are always short and managers never there. Food is horrible and not cooked properly . They keep leftovers in fridge and seen mold on the food just sitting there, roaches in the kitchen . Overall the whole building needs new management and updating fast. I don't recommend this place, you will be paying a lot of money for services not done.
