Mom always tells me about how nice and friendly all the residents there are. It is a very clean facility, but it can use some updates and repairs. My biggest concern though is the meals. She feels very rushed to get through her meals, and the portions have steadily decreased. They always have plenty to eat, but they often run out of the main menu item. There also seems to be a lot of turnover at the executive administration level, which is concerning as they need a good steady leader at the helm.

It was nice. It was more like a rest home, it seems like, so it didn't leave a great impression with us. The people were nice.

I think as you get into any place, as you work out the glitches the score will be higher. I think that's where we are now. The organization is quite good. Regular meals are very good. The staff is extraordinarily good. It's wonderful and they care. I think that's a good recommendation coming from my mom. The glitches that occur, for instance, someone missing coming by to help with bathing - that's just a glitch. You get together once a month and talk about a care plan and reiterate what you do and don't like and they do their best to fix it. They are really trying.

Two years after my wife passed away, the prodding by my children and my self realization that living alone in my home with all the related upkeep and typical expense, I agreed with the children and decided on Greatwood at SugerLand. After my initial visit, meeting some of the current residents and touring the facilities, I was impressed with what I saw and made the decision to "Move In". The location was also big factor in my decision in the my children and grandchildren live relatively close by. Now a seasoned resident of 1 year and 7 months, I have found the fellow residents to be of different backgrounds and experiences yet with like needs and desires. Spare time activities are in-place and growing as the request an participation requires. The fellowship and commonalty is inspiring and helpful in the daily life. I STRONGLY recommend Greatwood @ Sugarland to all commers.

My brother-in-law chose The Pointe becasue of its closeness to family. I thought it was attractive, it's new, it's accessible, it's close to shops and restaurants. My mother-in-law loves the food and says she loves it there, she is really quite positive about The Pointe. Her room is nice, the bathroom is very small, she has her own AC unit, a nice window and view. The dining room is attractive and she says the food is really good. They allow therapy dogs which I thought was very nice. When I visited I did not see very many employees so they may have a higher resident to staff ratio than other places, but I'm not sure. I just noticed that their response time is slower. My mother-in-law had her meal delivered to her in her room and she was charged $3 which I thought was ridiculous. Maybe that is standard practice, but she had to sign for the $3 delivery fee when they brought her meal.

Clean but roach problem. Physical therapy Doctor recommended to change facility - especially almost non existent even with doctor's prescription. Getting weaker not stronger.

Staff was great but the price was over budget for a fixed salary person.

Food ,dining ,activities were fine. Most of the staff was good too. The only problem I had was that no one would return my calls about my aunts medications , illnesses , such as her chronic uti's ... she couldn't make good decisions when she had uti's ,and was very important that I speak with someone as I lived about an hour away . They would maybe get back to me after a few days but by that time I would make a trip there and I was told we have been very busy. But maybe they were taking care of too many people.

Not as nice as other facilities and more expensive. The lack of transparency from the staff I did not like at all

Nice residents, a few caring staff. Need more quality staff. Food is not very good

If there is changes in personnel then maybe I would consider.

I would say to stay away from Greatwood. It was a very different place when we first put mom there but within months things started to change for the worse and they haven't gotten better.

Staff turnover is higher than expected, hard to find and keep good staff. This seems to be a problem everywhere. On weekends they are light on staff. The maintenance and housekeeping are A+. Family is always welcomed, activities are available if you want to participate. The move in process was easy, the facility is only 2 stories. The meals are fine, there is always a choice of entrees. For people on a budget, this is the place.

My loved one is currently a resident at Arbor Terrace East Cobb and overall the experience at this facility has been okay so far. The cleanliness and the staff are good. The friendliness and the activities are great.

It's okay. Nothing spectacular but comfortable. Very convenient location to me -close to my home. Within budget. Cleaning and maintenance could use improvement. When I've pointed things out, it's been addressed quickly.

My dad wasn't very happy he moved out after a month. He needed more care than what was being provided. His friend said they have a low staffing issue. I think it's good for independent living. I wouldn't want a loved one there for the end of life time frame.

I didn't really love The Pointe at Cedar Park because the facilities were a bit older and the director who gave me my tour seemed rushed and hurried to get me out the door.

There are many issues... On the positive... The apartments are very large. This is why I haven't moved my loved one, the apartment is amazing. There are no exercise programs, no enrichment unless you like Bingo. The food is not good. The hallways have a lingering bad odor. They cancel the few activities they do have without notification. The staff is not professional or well trained. There are many medication mistakes. There are 15 or more vacant apartments on the adjacent hallway to my loved one. I would make a different choice if I could and would not recommend this place to anyone, even under the new management. Just being honest.

Doctor appointments must be Monday - Wednesday if the resident doesn't drive- no transportation after that. The Administrative staff are extremely hard to get ahold of. This is not the best choice for a loved one with no family in town to handle problems as the arise. Food was not acceptable. There are frequently no medical staff onsite. If the resident has an accident, an ambulance is called, but Garden Estates does not provide transportation back to the facility.

What we really like about the community are the activities - they have so many different things throughout the week for the residents, they do a really great job keeping them busy. We do think they can improvement on working better together as a team and have more attention to detail. With these improvements, we would recommend Regal Estates to other families.
