We have been very pleased with Garden Estates, and I am very glad that my mother is there. The environment is clean, up-to-date, and elegant yet still remains warm and inviting. The overall atmosphere is warm and friendly. Everyone, both staff and residents, are friendly, helpful, and nice. The food is great; we have eaten there with my mother on several occasions. My mother is becoming more active and social every day and looks healthier after only one month. The price is comparable to other retirement/assisted living homes in the area. The most important element for me, however, is that all of the residents appear to be happy.

I was most impressed with the connection to Garden Estates. It was recommended by "A Place for Mom" and by a personal friend. I met first with Judy. She showed me around and explained the services provided. She was most informative and personable. We set up an appointment to bring my mother. The visitation with my mother was "Just Lunch." She got to eat lunch and have a tour of the facility. After my mother decided that this was for her, we scheduled another appointment to work out particulars.

One of the reasons this community was chosen is she had a friend that stayed here and recommended it. The setting is really beautiful and it’s in a very prestigious area (South Shore). They offer plenty of activities to keep someone busy.

There were some kinks to work through in the beginning. Staff turnover is problematic, but I have a feeling that is a problem everywhere. Overall, the experience has been a good one and my mom likes living there.

They are very very nice people there. The food could be better. Otherwise, everyone is very helpful and nice.

Overall, Rosewood has been great. Mom has a 2-bedroom, 1 bath apartment that is working well. The staff have been very nice and accommodating. Cleaning of the unit and washing of her laundry, including the bed linens, has been working out well. Rosewood staff are consistent with taking out the trash as well. The facility is well maintained. The one criticism we have is the inconsistency with the food. My Mom has all her meals delivered to her apartment (92 years of age with hand and foot neuropathy, so she prefers to eat in her apartment) vs. eating in the restaurant/cafeterias. The delivery service is nice and Rosewood is accommodating with that service. The breakfast food is very consistent and good (although on occasion, the eggs may be lukewarm to cool given the food is being delivered and that takes time). Lunch and dinner is sometimes good and sometimes just average or even not appetizing (per my Mom). I have not had a chance to eat at Rosewood, but I stayed with my Mom for 1 week in the apartment and could I witness the quality of and variety of the menu choices as referenced above. I would tend to agree with her, although she is much more picky vs. me. I believe if Rosewood works in their food prep as I described they would be a 5. The staff is very good and friendly. They are monitoring my Mom very well. At 92 that is important to me and my sister.

I'm pretty happy with them overall and she is doing well. Might be a little expensive for the services, but she is happy and doing well. I would recommend to others

My dad does like it there. We are generally happy with his care there. Yes, we would recommend North Georgia Assisted Living to other families.

Staff is very friendly and proactive and responsive in helping in any way they can. We have enjoyed all the folks we have come in contact with. Food started out great but has fallen off some. They use to provide a menu with a couple of different selections each day and they stopped doing that. But overall, the taste and portion size is still good. Variety could be improved - very heavy on pasta dishes. Apartment size is quite nice. Large bedrooms, bathroom and living spaces with fully functional kitchens (about the size of a kitchen as expected for a standard small apartment). In-room housekeeping once a week which is very helpful. Plenty of activities scheduled for each week

I gave a 4-5 because on the day of Mt initial meeting, I didn't know they were changing administrators and the second meeting a lot had changed. In the end everything worked out for the best. My brother is still there and loves the place.

Well too many things to mention to improve on but I do like the restaurant seating and the fact they have therapy here. Good sized bathrooms too!! Oh yes, we do like they have closed in dog parks.

You will quickly find a place for your love one in need. I would recommend to others.

Ask about what's included with the price and what additional fees there are for services, if that information has not been given to you. Be sure to pay attention to what style kitchen you get in the rooms and the bathrooms and ask if there can be additions or changes made to make them more comfortable. Ask about the med tech and nursing staff for assisted living. The services should meet whatever needs they may have. Ask about transportation to and from Doctor appointments, pharmacy, shopping, and events.

Like: Grandma has friends, she has safety and staff to help when she needs it, great balance of independence and care.

The aides are very attentive, and caring. I would recommend to others.

The staff is very friendly. The only consistent issue we've had is getting her laundry done. They've acknowledged it's a problem and I think it's bc they are short staffed. I wanted to provide an important update regarding Greatwood at Sugar Land. I received a letter stating that they are implementing a new “level of care” structure effective [date removed]. According to the letter, my mother’s level of care will be set at $[removed] per month. For context, my mother is on the assisted-living side versus independent living, but the only service they are actually providing for her is medication management. She does not require assistance with showering. As mentioned in my previous review, she does her own laundry because they have not been completing it. Housekeeping is advertised, but what they provide is extremely minimal. Given the limited services she actually receives, I believe a $[removed] monthly increase—communicated with essentially one month’s notice—is unreasonable, and I will be disputing it. The letter was signed only as “Executive Director, Senior Solutions Management Company” with an illegible signature and no individual name or contact information for follow-up, which adds to the concern.

it would help if they up dated a bit. Staff was great. however we would recommend this community to other families based on the experience so far.

There are times I put in a work order to repairs minor things that don't get done so I have to ask again and again. The Food is AWFUL. I've sat with my mother during meals and I've ate with her. I am guessing the residents are hungry enough to eat it without complaint. A lot of times I will take mother food or make sure she has something in her room to eat. Just in case she doesn't eat what they serve. But some people who live there don't have anyone to bring them anything. It's actually very sad. The food alone would get a 1. less if possible. Can't stress it enough
