We are satisfied with the care that mom has received at Grand Villa of Altamonte Springs. Mom seems to have settled in nicely. The community offers a variety of activities for the residents to participate and enjoy. Mom has put on some weight with the variety of meals that they offer.

ONE OF MY FAVORITES

I have not visited Royal Palm as yet. However my son who lives in Florida did visit and we communicated back and forth and I will be moving in on the 31 of this month. He had nothing but praise for Royal Palm , so I told him to sign me up for it. I cannot select a rating as I have not been there in person so I can only guess at one.

They say memory care. It seems to be the big push! It's a nice place but memory care makes it close to beyond affordable. It is clean and bright.

My mom is doing fine since living here. The staff are great help always. My mom enjoys the community. She has participated in a few activities. The place is clean to me and I really like that this place has different levels of care. I would recommend this community

My mom has been residing at the Grand villa for a month. I wish i could say I'm 100% satisfied. Since she moved in there has been a new executive director, a new memory care director and another activities director. My mom was not receiving the assistance promised at first, I've had to make numerous calls to follow up on our agreement of care. After having a meeting with the above mentioned directors things started to improve but still not perfect and that is what i expect, perfection. Mom is being cared for with compassion by the staff but some of hed needs haven't been met on a regular basis. We're working on that daily. However, when a dementia patient is lost in their own world it makes no difference to that individual but it does to the family. On a positive note the memory care director, Jordan, has been my main connection at the Grand villa and she goes beyond her day to be sure she keeps me on top of everything.

There are some really great employees at the royal palm center. They are quick and helpful.

I toured this community while looking into care options for a loved one. The facility was on the older side, but well kept and clean, and all of the staff I met seemed friendly and professional. We ended up selecting another community, but this is somewhere I would have considered as an option for my loved one.

The New Port Inn is a very clean facility. Everyone seemed to be friendly. The value was pretty good. The care services were poor. I can't rate the activities because it is not applicable.

My stepmother is their and food has been really good. I have excellent communication with the staff. I havent had any problems and she is happy being their. It a really good place to stay.

Very nice facility, clean,bright,friendly,Lots of space to visit with family privately..I was impressed.didn't get to discuss cost due to it being a Sat. tour.

Overall I think they do a very nice job at Grand Villa of Altamonte Springs. The facility itself is clean and well kept, and the staff are all very friendly and pleasant people. They do an excellent job looking after the people who live here! My only concern is that I think they could be trained a little better on how to handle certain Alzheimer's behaviors, they call me quite often asking me to help them resolve situations with my loved one.

I like mainly that the staff is very nice to my mother. There is enough for her to do. In the beginning we had a few issues to hurdle over. One of the caretakers was kind of rough with my mother, and we haven't seen her again. At first trying to get her hooked up with her medicine was tricky, but we got that taken care. The shower leaked, and it took a little while but it was fixed. I think the activities could contain more in the way of creativity. The food is very good. The only concern I have is that, it's very clean, they keep it up, but my brother tells me that every time he goes in there's a roach there. We're generally very satisfied. Except for that one girl, and there is always going to be one, and it was taken care of.

Overall I'm quite happy with how things have gone at Grand Villa! It's a nice looking, well kept, clean community, and the staff have all been very friendly and helpful. We had a few initial concerns when we moved my loved one in, but they addressed them quickly and to my satisfaction. You do have to stay on top of them when it comes to communication, they won't generally contact you first with updates.

We toured this community when we were looking into care options for a loved one. This was a nice enough looking community, but it didn't seem to have the same level of care as some others we looked at. The surrounding area was a bit hilly as well, which would have made it more difficult for my loved one to take the walks that she enjoys.

looks nice, my mother did not see it. I was kind of geared into the memory care unit which might have been appropriate for my mother but more restrictive. she really would want access to the pool

The main complaint I have is that all the meal times are too early for retired people. The main serving times are set and then the options are reduced. They could make better tasting more appealing food. I like that my loved one is well cared for.

We toured this community when we were looking into care options for our loved ones. This one was my particular favorite, although my parents weren't as impressed by it. It's in a great location, off of the main roads but still very conveniently located for shopping and entertainment. One downside is that the area it is in is fairly hilly which would make getting around more difficult for someone in a wheelchair.

It's been a big adjustment for my parents, but they've been doing a great job here so far. My parents came here from a community that provided a higher level of care, and they are having to learn how to adjust their daily routine to fit with this new style of care. But the staff here are really doing a good job of working with them to help them settle in. One thing to be aware of with this community is that it was built in an uneven area, and as such there are quite a few inclines and ramps throughout the facility that can make it difficult to navigate for those with movement issues. They're very good about having staff help people move around, but it can still be a bit inconvenient.
