Great facility for patients with memory care needs. Environment is clean, cheerful and well maintained. All of the staff ( nursing, caregivers, dietary, housekeeping, hairdresser etc) are caring and treat the patients with respect and dignity. Support services including PT, OT, wound care, podiatry are wonderful . Staff go out of their way to accommodate patient's needs. Food is excellent and nicely presented. Effort is made to involve all levels of patients in activities .

My loved one was previously a resident at Grand Villa of DeLand. The staff would have gotten a 5 rating were it not for one particular incident with the dietary supervisor, which made my loved one fearful of his safety and resulted in his refusal to eat in the dining room after the incident. My loved one rated the food as being hard to chew. The head nurse acknowledged that the same complaint has been submitted by other residents. Activities for my loved one were non-existent. After 62 years of running his own concrete construction company, he was not interested in bingo, movies, wii bowling, line-dancing, cocktail parties or whatever other silliness was offered. He just wanted to work and feel useful. The value for the cost was good. Grand Villa does seem to have a fair amount of employee turnover, which I found frustrating whenever I needed to talk to nursing staff or accounting staff. In 12 months, I think they had three different Executive Directors.

What our family likes the most about the Truewood by Merrill, Port Charlotte community is the Manager there [name removed], has been above & beyond helpful! I would highly recommend that place based on him alone.

The facility is very nice and clean. There have been a few issues with the overseeing management company. The executive leadership at Pineapple has recently decide to change management companies. I this new Company will Provide more support to The day to day operations . There area Florida based company as opposed to The current out of company.

Staff is very helpful most of the time. For some the apartments, they are Ok such as the 1 Bedroom, but some try to fit a lot of personal belongings into a studio. They have had a problem with the dishwasher and we eat from styrofoam plates.

The staff was friendly and helpful. There was a (justified) increase in the level of care and they agreed to hold off for a month in increasing the cost while I moved my mom to a nursing home. My mother passed away in March.

My loved one had a good experience at Grand Villa of Palm Coast. The staff were wonderful and very caring with the residents. They were also kind to us each time that we were visiting. Grand Villa of Palm Coast is very clean and is a beautiful home for its residents. I would highly recommend it to others!

It's an affordable safe place for people to maintain some independence and have a place of their own. I think they maybe need a bigger budget for food? A lot of the residents end up throwing out more than they eat. Possibly a better menu or chef. I'm not living there but, it's a constant complaint I hear consistently.

The activities seem to be the best part of being there. She has found a decent community of friends and holidays are celebrated, and there are many opportunities to participate. The people do a decent job and have been helpful. The quality of meals could definitely use improvement. they are definitely increasing costs a lot and decreasing some included services, like washing sheets that used to be included and now are an extra charge.

What has made Grand VIlla such a great experience so far for our family is definitely the staff, and we would recommend them to other families based on the experience we have had so far. Friendly staff, nice community, would recommend if they clean up the problems they have with their kitchen and unsafe food temperatures.

My Mom loves it there! The place is well maintained but can use a few upgrades. People and staff are friendly. I would recommend.

The staff is helpful and attentive and responds to needs quickly. Everyone there just seems so happy!

I can only go by what my loved one has been telling me. The food is not good. She's quite disappointed in that. In regard to the healthcare services. I'm a little disappointed as we did have an incident and incident and it took quite a lot to get someone there to help her. Other than that she seems happy and comfortable.

I would recommend Grand Villa of Sarasota to others. The staff have all been friendly and helpful and the facility is clean and hazard free. My mother in law says that she likes it there. My only complaint is that visitors cannot have a meal in the dining room with the resident/their loved one. Otherwise, the experience has been very good.

The staff are friendly and seem genuinely concerned about the people who live there. They have gone out of their way to help my relatives with their small dog, when my relatives were ill. There are only 2 elevators that the clients can use, and the elevators can be inadequate, with long wait times, especially during meal hours. I think that they need to re-visit the menu and how food is prepared and served is a start. Talking to and including the residents in the process would go a long way, and is extremely important!

The biggest complaint is that the actual food listed on the monthly menu - does not match what is actually served for dinner. Quite often. Disappointing if you really wanted what was listed! People are friendly, there are a lot of social activities and it is one of the nicest communities in the area.

Staff is very friendly and available to help. On site rehab is very convenient. I am not a big joiner for the activities, so I am a poor judge of that, but there always seems to be something going on. As far as the food goes, I am picky. But they could use more salt and other seasonings. And I miss casseroles with all the flavors. Less rice and more mashed potato.

They have a lot of activities, staff is generally nice. The food is just ok. My dad is happy there.

[name removed], the Director is a great leader of the entire staff. She has lots of activities all the time for the residents.

The overall appearance is happy and friendly. The staff are friendly, and the food is just OK from what I understand. Entertainment is great.
