Nice facility , love the screen porches. All looks well and no odor. This is a surf facility that is sufficient for your needs if you are an independent person. I do not know about the assisted. What we like the most about the community is - 1) Very friendly staff, willing to accommodate my sister's needs 2) The remodeling is looking great- they have an assisted living with different levels of care, a memory care unit and will be taking Medicaid residents! That way I don't have to uproot my sister to a completely different building if and when she gets to that point of needing either! 3) the food is decent and they always have options 4) they have a variety of activities, outings and if scheduled they will take my sister to appointments

Provisions in cupboards in memory care...seem sparse....more than one salt and pepper...folks who know how to do laundry...had to toss mom's white sweater top...came back grey with spots...really bad

Most employees do a very good job. Thoughtful, Helping, go above and beyong and extra help when needed.

They're under new management now the company sold that particular property so I don't know how they are now but when my sister was there, they were really great and the director down there. [name removed] was super so I would recommend it as long as it's the same thank you.

They weren't really set up for respite care. Bed was terrible. Activity staff was great. Most caregivers were helpful and kind. Dining staff were not friendly with a few notable exceptions. Food was very good and varied. I thought the bathroom was a long way from the bed and hard to navigate with a walker. It was reasonable and I might go back again.

A resident for 2 years. My major concern-safety-dogs allowed to run free- no leash. One dog-on a leash but owner often let free one dog a declined bite (admitted by owner) in [name removed] area without muzzle. ( as promised by administration)

Everyone here are good to good from staff to dining facility personnel. Maintenance medical and the who help improve the facility.

My mom was there 10 weeks. It was a beautiful place, but it was not a place for her. She needed more attention so I moved her to a house that had more one-on-one care. She has passed since then.

It was tidy, though not spotless, and there was a slight odor in some areas-but I can't imagine how challenging it must be to work in that environment. The staff had good attitudes and were attentive. Everything seemed in order-her bed was made, and she looked clean, content, and cheerful. The community is well-staffed and provides great value for the care offered. They keep her engaged with activities and communicate well with me about any incidents or medical updates. Overall, I'm happy with her being there.

The visit to Tuscan Gardens was a pleasure. Staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. The facility itself is quite lovely, well laid out, and yet cozy. My husband seemed to be comfortable from the beginning. He is now a permanent resident of the Memory Care Unit and, although he has not settled in yet, he has nothing but good things to say about the staff, food, and amenities. I do feel that there might be a shortage of staff but unfortunately that is the case all over.

Room was very nice, facilities were very nice, all staff were very friendly. Food was good. Only issue was my mother trying to meet people. She would go down to eat and try and sit at a table only to be told they were holding that seat for a friend. A little cliquish.

Everyone here is very friendly, staff and residents. It has beautiful views of the river, dolphins and wildlife. There is a bus to help take you to doctor's appointments two days a week. There are outside activities with the bus sometimes too. My biggest complaint is we don't have good WIFI and they've been working on it a year.

Apartments are spacious. Many residents need a lot of assistance and therefore more suited to very elderly folks who are almost needing nursing home care. Staff turnover seemed quite high.

Staff are very nice, and keep the residents of memory care busy. Overall, the place is kept clean. The decor isn't as pretty as some of the other local places, but it is functional and MUCH better than the secure facility she was in before. While my mom isn't "happy" being there, she thinks she should be at my home, I'd say she is CONTENT there. She hasn't tried to escape.

My father was only there for about six weeks. The staff was fine. The cleanliness was marginal not great and the dining was just OK but you know it was a safe and secure place for my dad.

Great care. Great staff. Shopped so many other places. All others are very pricey. My girlfriend’s sister is a resident and it’s always a pleasure to visit with her. Her apartment is spacious and quite nice. Love the pool and the residents appear very happy. Live entertainment and great food!

Nice community, nice staff

The only complaint my mother in law has is the "the food is bad" We've never had a meal there, so I don't know? I would recommend.

My mom first stayed in Grand Villa in Assisted living after a medical emergency. She got better, moved home, then the hurricanes hit and she didn't have a home to stay in, so she decided to go back to GV until things were fixed. Since then, she has decided to move into their independent living permanently. It's been a hard decision, but as those changes go, it's working out okay.
