My mom has resided in the Sheridan since Feb, 2020. It was not easy moving her from her life long residence in Chicago. She is 96 years old. Since being at Sheridan, my mom has been eating, dressing, and has been hospital free, which was not the case when she was living alone. To be honest, the transition was not easy, but the staff at Sheridan is very attentive to her needs and understands the mental challenges she is facing having to give up her independence of living alone. We are grateful to them for their caring and making her feel special. Yes, there still are complaints from my mom, but everyone deals with them and tries to pacify her as well as possible. The weekly calls from [name removed] are reassuring and the staff keeps us posted immediately if any issues arise with mom. As Covid hit in March, her routine is naturally disrupted, but kudos to Sheridan for making this difficult time as palatable as possible. It is commendable that no residents at Sheridan contracted the virus. Thank you so much for that. Knowing how active my mom is, I would just like to see more activities to keep her engaged. I am sure this will happen once the State opens up more post virus. Thanks to all of the staff, nurses, and support for taking care of my mom. Bottom line, she is doing 1000% better at Sheridan than if she were living with a family member or living alone. I highly recommend this facility to anyone considering assisted living arrangements!

I would want others to know when looking into this facility that it was a very homey and comfortable place. I remember seeing the calendar every month for the activities and it was always so full. I did eat here a couple of times and it was very good, they had a menu with a variety of choices. I would recommend Camellia Walk.

I would recommend this community to my friends for their parents. Everyone was very friendly. My loved one was able to get involved with activities, and he was apprehensive about going to the community at first.

I would tell them that they are very nice, compassionate staff and community according to my loved one. The location is a quiet, tranquil, and nice setting with wildlife. I like the food that I have tasted. The room my loved one lives in is a studio. The view is nice looking towards the woods. The apartment includes an ADA bathroom and microwave. The activities calendar isn't posted on a wall, or passed out to my loved one consistently. The activities aren't geared towards my loved one. My loved one feels it is more towards women, than men. The community experience is more like shopping than out to fun activities. The happy hour has confused the residents due to location and day of the week change. I feel that there are some activities could be more, and the residents are a little bummed out of activities, post COVID. This is prior to COVID regarding activities..

It was great. I would recommend them to others. The marketing person we dealt with was great to deal with. The room sizes and layout were good if not better then the others I looked at. Overall it was a positive experience.

The food at Woodbourne is not very good, but the community overall has a very comfortable feeling. The rooms are very spacious, plenty of room. They have a small room where you can watch TV as well as other gathering rooms. Compared to other facilities in the area, the cost to stay at Woodbourne is pretty average.

I would recommend them, particularly if they are local. This is the spot to be. The food is excellent for me now. The room is fine for me, and excellent. I pay for it, and think they are pretty good.

My father has been living at Addington Place now since May of 2020. I have to say that Addington has been a very helpful and kind to my father and my family. Given this extremely tough time (COVID), the staff has been very helpful. The executive director, [name removed], is very involved with the residents and any concerns that I have...not many, he has addressed quickly and satisfactorily. My father is currently in hospice care as well, so the facility has been working with the hospice company to ensure my father gets the correct care.

My mother loves Liberty Heights and she says won't move anywhere else. The independent living staff are amazing. They have helped with anything we have needed or asked of them to do. We were aware prior to moving in that there were dining issues. The food and dining service is terrible, however, someone from corporate has stepped in to resolve the food issues. Before COVID, they welcomed family to join in activities , meals, pool, and happy hour. They have done an amazing job keeping the residents safe during COVID.

I used a Place for Mom to find a place for my mom. She's now been at this facility for a year and 4 months. With the recent pandemic we haven't been able to talk to her very often. The nurse explained they'd been confined to their rooms and weren't allowed out, even meals are brought to them. My mom's room is very small with no real seating area. I live out of town and only get to go see her twice a year. Although the facility is older and could use some TLC it had always been clean but the last time I was there her room wasn't as clean as it had been previously. Not being able to see her or communicate with her regularly, we've been worried and concerned about the care she's been getting. Prior to the pandemic, my dad was there every morning, got her up, made sure she was dressed, had something to eat and was ready for the day. And then suddenly, we weren't sure what was happening. Recently we found out they're under new management, what a huge difference! One of the health care providers in the facility, I know her only as [name removed], has been wonderful! She called me, introduced herself, gave me her cell number, let me Facetime with my mom, arranged for my dad to go see her (a visit through the window) and stays in touch with me and my family and lets us know what's going on and how my mom is doing. And, my mom was recently moved to a bigger room. Needless to say, we're so relieved and sleeping a little better at night! I feel much more confident my mom is not only being taken care of, she's being cared for in a loving way.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is very clean. It is a little outdated in some areas of the building. The dining room staff is amazing. The physical therapy staff is amazing. It is a little pricey but comparable to other places in the area.

The community is always very clean. It's always pleasant! The staff has been great through the Covid-19 pandemic, doing everything they can to keep the residents happy and content. They have also done a great job with keeping the families are informed about what they are doing. The nursing staff is always on top of things. My mom does not require a lot of care, but they seem to take the individual's needs and preferences and make them a priority. My sisters and I feel very confident about the care my mom is getting. The food is pretty good for the most part, my mom has never complained. Occasionally the meat is a bit tough, although she only complained about that twice. There is also a good selection to choose from, which is great. The activities are great and my mother enjoys them. At first, they seemed pretty inconsistent especially in terms of the participation of other residents. Since then, they have really done a good job with organizing things better and that whole situation has stabilized a lot. Definitely a good value for the price.

Staff very welcoming. Food and menu choices very good. Residents active with many activities. Rooms too small for my power chair and parking not good for guests.

My loved one has been at Lakeside dementia care buiding for 9 months. I am there every day. It takes a very special person to work with these patients. The staff really cares about the people that live there. We become like family with the residents. They work hard and could use more staff of special workers for this building. The acitivity workers do all they can to get residents involved in activities eventhough they have decreased mental and physical abilities. they are given an abundance of food at each meal. I feel blessed to be able to know we are all doing the best we can under these VERY difficult circumstances. They could use more church services, singing etc volunteers if you are interested.

Lovely place. Enjoyed meeting the staff and a couple residents. Apartment was smaller than we wished for a couple.

Where you would want your mother to be. Out of our price range. Including care, in a studio apt. 5800.Only negative-shared apts. were embarrassingly small

I toured the community and I like the environment of Prairie Green at Dixie Crossing. I think it is the bright colors on the outside and the modernization of the inside of the facility. I wanted to place one of my family members here, but it did not work out for me to be able to do so. [Name removed] was very helpful and answering my many questions. I appreciate her patience and professionalism.

Executive Director extremely engaged with all details; made the process as easy as it could be. A small deposit held a fantastic room for 30 days, and we were able to meet all paperwork and move-in requirements within that 30 days. Head nurse and physical therapist immediately engaged and responsive to parent needs, offering suggestions that will make their quality of life better. Having said all that, need to allow weeks or even months to pass before a fair and accurate assessment can be provided. But everything up to and including the move-in was much better than I expected.

We moved our mother to Copper Springs Memory Care in May of 2019 and they have great. Mom was a little difficult at first but the staff worked diligently to get to know mom's behavior's and mom learned theirs. Staff is working directly with her healthcare provider to get her medication regiment correct. Our family is very pleased with Copper Springs.

Is a very nice place. Friendly staff and very clean. There is a variety of activities but resident has to want to go to them.
