A very nice location but was only shown apartments. There were villas but needed to contact a real estate agent to see them. Fairly expensive so probably will not fit into my budget.

For one thing, this location was just too big for Mom to be comfortable in. It would take too much of her day just getting too and from different parts of the facility. Also one big negative was that during our tour, which was 2 hours long, we only ended up seeing 2 staff members.

I was not impressed, it was the most expensive of all the places we visited, 5200 or plus a month, and my son and I were not impressed. The memory care unit was kind of small and we wrote it off right away because of the set up.

I did not like them at all. I thought it was icy cold out there, I thought it was clean, it was a beautiful place, it was much more expensive, it would have almost been double the money and what he had the money for he would have had to do the apartment thing so they wouldn't have been able to watch what he was eating.

If you're looking for a place that has assisted living, good food and is beautiful, then this is the place for you. If you're looking for a dementia care unit....then pass this one by. They have a small wing for dementia care "spring cottage", but it is only a hallway of rooms that are so brightly lit it always looks like daytime, since each room has a panel window on the side, there is always light shining through the window. Can be very confusing for someone with dementia. Their form of mental "therapy" consisted of the therapist putting in a video of old people doing therapy.....yes watching a video of a therapy session...while the "therapist" texts on her phone as the residents watch.

My mother and father in law where here for a week. The food wasn't as flexible, you ate whatever they gave you. I don't think they thought the staff was as friendly either but their biggest problem was the food.

The community is very lovely, has very nice views and plenly of nature around. The problems we are having is which the actual organization. They just don't seem to be very organized or professional. There seems to be lack of communication amongst them that is affecting the residents. It is really hard to get things done at the community. We have had issues with something not working and it has been like this for several weeks. They had a person come look at it and they said they would come back after fixing a couple of other things but has yet to return. There is also concern with the financial part as they just give a generalized reason why charges are going up rather then specific reasons for it. It is very hard to get a hold of anyone sometimes they return the calls sometimes they don't.

Visited 7.18. Place has Grown, & added services since late-'80's! Dressier 'members' than I 'm comfortable with. Perhaps 10:30 am is poor time to visit? Mngmt wants you present for ALL meals, when I'd love to have my simple brkfst in-room. They phone to check if you don't show for meals - Just to be sure you're OK. Person I saw was Betsy. Good at her job! Have Propaganda folder.

My father has been ther for about a week and from what my mother has told me the food is not good and she doesn't like it. I think the care is okay. My mom said the ratio of caregivers to patients is 7 to 1 so that's better than some other places. It's fairly expensive.

Didn't seem as friendly. Representative was not very knowledgeable - didn't see many residents.

The staff at Benton House was great. We did respite care for just one night.

Nice facility.

Very nice - larger facility, but would provide quiet area for my mother and her cat. Apts have balconies. RN on staff - food looks good. Reasonable rent and suportive care - like that the rent includes all leves of care.

Met with the director was not able to answer a lot of my questions. Stated that they would contact me later.

Staff was great to talk to and willing to do everything I needed, but just a bit too pricey for my mother's budget

They did not disclose to us that in the memory care unit they had psychiatric patients that could not find a more suitable place to live - so that was a huge thing in the beginning, also just like everyone else they were severely understaffed and were not able to give our loved one adequate care. Our loved one was barely watched which resulted in her falling many times. They also do not have a system in place for medication so there is nobody there double checking the medication and dosage is right. On one occasion they gave our loved one someone else's blood pressure and diabetes medication which had sent our loved one to the hospital. There were no activities going on, and the food was almost inedible - it was not even really nutritious meals.

This community presents very well, it is very clean and the CNA's our family dealt with were very friendly. However there are areas of improvements, they need to make sure the residents are eating. They need someone there to clean on the weekends and help with house keeping. Also their communication is extremely poor, if you loved one has any type of disability or needs assistance this is not the place for them.

This is a lovely community but right now they are not staffed correctly so it is creating some issues with the community. This community was much less expensive and better compared to the other communities.
