Great staff and facility. Give them a call

My parents live here. The maintenance man works very hard to keep everything repaired Tiddy. The housekeepers work very hard to clean and be friendly to everyone. The food is great, love the salad bar and soup of the day! Not from a can but made with fresh ingredients. The activities are fun and very organized. Ursula is very personable and so is Wes. Wes reads to the people with vision problems. The management team work very hard to keep everyone safe and deal with everyday problems of a senior. Loss of memory, loss of friends and just loss. It takes a lot of action to keep 100 people safe and assisted. The care givers are true caregivers. They truly care and go over and above to help. Two nurses RN Kathy and Lpn Marcus, friendly and dedicated to the residents. Please stop by and meet the marketing lady Becky. She helped with my mom and dad with insurance questions, and lots of other questions. They are also being renovated with new paint flooring ect.

The staff is trying extremely hard to do everything they can!!!!

Mom had some challenges with her medication when she first moved into this community. We have since corrected this issue. I think they may be a little understaffed. She is not a fan of the food. They keep the community clean. I am not sure this is going to be a good fit for mom. This community is set up like a hotel and she is in a room away from the caretakers, dining room and group activities, so they are not able to hear her if she calls out.

Topanga Park gets my recommendation!!

The community is clean inside and they are renovating outside. The staff are super friendly and the main reason we like this community. They offer a fair amount of activities for the residents to enjoy. My uncle seems to enjoy the food. The only small issue I have is that they could not guarantee what sort of window the price increases would be in.

Going through improvements for the better!!

Dad is slowly making the adjustment to living at Topanga Park. The care is good and they keep me apprised of his care. It is an older community but they are currently going through a major upgrade. The food is good and they do also offer some activities. There was no pressure to move him in once we spoke to them originally.

Overall it has been a good experience at Sea View Senior Living Community. It would be nice if the food served could be catered to special diets. My mom is gluten intolerant and I would like to see some gluten free options given. Other than that things are good at this facility.

Nice place overall, a few ways they could improve

Overall things have worked out well with Sea View Senior Living. In terms of the care and services they provide I think they do a good job. The facility itself is clean and well kept, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The marketing person we worked with, Sonya, was very helpful through the whole move-in process and made that very easy. They also do a great job with the food here, it tastes good, the portions are a nice size, and it seems nutritious. There are a few concerns I've had, however. During the touring process they mentioned that they put a lot of effort into helping new residents get integrated socially into the community, and I haven't seen much of that going on. This was a big selling point for me, so I'm disappointed in that regard. I've also noticed that my loved one's room gets very hot, and the windows in the living room area are not the type you can open.

Very friendly and personable staff

Things have gone well overall at Westmont Living of Brentwood! It's a nice looking place, and always very clean. The staff are very personable, and they really seem to get to know each of the residents as an individual. They have a lot to provide for the people who live here, and they even do a good job with the food!

she seems happier now

My mother-in-law has already made friends and its only been a week. Everyone is very nice and the food is so much better than some of the other places we have visited. She loves to play bingo and she loves having a little patio off her apt. The grounds are well maintained. Had a few problems getting her meds on time, things are better now.

15 minutes from home. Not the most scenic site but the facility looked very nice. The shared bedrooms here were superior to both Cypress and The Commons. Square shaped layout similar to The Commons. One thing to note, much like when my mom was at Westmont of Morgan Hill, the reviews tend to indicate high turnover from the directors down and minimally trained staff. May look great but this is a problem.

Positives and Negatives

My mother's only been a month and a half. They have an extremely friendly staff - that's their best point. The care is excellent. If anything, my mother finds it intrusive because people are knocking on her door all the time and coming in especially the first month while they're getting to know what her needs are. She's a very private person but she's accommodated her self to it. They come in to giver her meds and to check to see if she wants to come down to lunch. In other words, they're being proactive about integrating her into the society there which is great. They do have activities but I think they could have more. I don' think that's their strong suit but their staff is superb. The food is very institutional which is a shame. It's an excellent deal, financially, and the apartments are large and varied - many different configurations.

Really Good Care

They do everything that they're able to do very well. They have a bulletin board of activities and people can do lots of things. They have movies and bingo and all kinds of things. I'm satisfied with it. He's been there about a month and we haven't encountered any problems. He's had a stroke and he has Alzheimer's so he needs to be fed and diapered and lifted in and out of bed and he get all that there. They take really good care of him.

Conscientious and Accommodating

I'm not in Clovis but I talk to them all the time and I talk to my brother who close. They seem to be very conscientious and my mom is getting good care. They were very accommodating. My mom has pets and they were very accommodating with her pets. They've been very very good with me and good with her. I think the price is fair. We looked at several places and it seems to be in the ball park.

My Concerns

The RN I wasn't impressed with; however, I was pleased with the staff that took care of my loved one. I don't feel the room was clean enough for my loved one. There was never toilet paper for my loved one. I would bring this into the community for my loved one., and it was placed on a top shelf for them. It didn't seem the care staff was assisting my loved one with daily living activities.

Westmont of Brentwood is a good place at both the assisted living and the memory care facilities. The food is good on the assisted living side, but has a lot to be desired at memory care. My mother has been living there for three years. The caregivers are amazing. The one important issue I am having with them is their executive staff has gone thru four directors, three office managers/accountants, and three directors of community services (the administrative nurse). Westmont has owed my mother money for months, but wont pay while they demand payment for services in advance each month. The monthly invoices are incorrect as if they dont charge enough already. Its a great place to stay but be aware of financial inconsistencies.
