Good facility, clean, well managed. Had several units on ground floor with patio doors. 3 meals, sometimes BBQ, activities. Annual increase between 3-6% Have 23 retirement residents + 50 or so in assisted living. Housekeeping/laundry 1x per wk. Beauty salon $13-15 with $35 for perm. Free cable but $20/mo for phone. $50.00 for guest room. Rm = $2500+500 second person. Can have pet, I believe laundry is residents responsibility-don't know re linen & towels.

Very convenient! Nice facilities. Good selection of activities for both. Pets okay with deposit, must be able to care for the pet yourself. Cable/dish & phone hook-up available for add'l fee. Daily housekeeping, weekly deep cleaning. Linens & towels provided. They would 'live' together. divided room can be 2 'bedrooms' or bedroom & livingroom. All inclusive incl. 3 meals, incontinence, med dispense, activities.

took a tour,rooms were o.k., great pool area ate lunch,food was vey good....yummy matzo ball soup.

$[fee removed] per month for memory care. Not sure if that's a good value or not. Seemed high to us. I personally liked the assisted living side more than the memory care side. Other than that -- I don't have much to add. Hospice provided much of the care and updates not Pennington, so interaction was minimal.

The RN I wasn't impressed with; however, I was pleased with the staff that took care of my loved one. I don't feel the room was clean enough for my loved one. There was never toilet paper for my loved one. I would bring this into the community for my loved one., and it was placed on a top shelf for them. It didn't seem the care staff was assisting my loved one with daily living activities.

Westmont of Brentwood is a good place at both the assisted living and the memory care facilities. The food is good on the assisted living side, but has a lot to be desired at memory care. My mother has been living there for three years. The caregivers are amazing. The one important issue I am having with them is their executive staff has gone thru four directors, three office managers/accountants, and three directors of community services (the administrative nurse). Westmont has owed my mother money for months, but wont pay while they demand payment for services in advance each month. The monthly invoices are incorrect as if they dont charge enough already. Its a great place to stay but be aware of financial inconsistencies.

Nice place, nice people. A different approach to memory care, integrating them with assisted living residents. Nice rooms.

Looked at 3 and God kept bringing back to this one. Best decision. I would definitely recommend it

Please note that my father was only there for 3 days. I was not ready for him to be in memory care. I was able to find another community where he was able to move into assisted living which is better for him. I also did not receive much of a refund nor did I hear from executive staff since initially discussing his move out.

My loved one was previously a resident at Canyon Trails and her experience at this facility was okay. The resident/patient care and food could have both been better. Her experience was not terrible, but was not great.

Our loved one is happy there which her happiness is the most important thing for us. She has made friends and enjoys the activities they have going on - although we do wish they had a little bit more physical activities. Now there are some areas of improvement - they are experiencing pretty high turnover's within their staff team which trickles down to the overall quality of care - especially the consistency regarding hygiene maintenance. However the staff they do have working there are very good and we know almost everyone on the staff team. They are very friendly and they do care. Anytime we have a concern and we bring it to their attention they get right on it. We do wish there was some clarity regarding who is in charge, that would be very beneficial for families and their loved ones.

I loved Valley Vista. It is an amazing place, very clean and the staff were awesome. They were very understaffed. They said they could accommodate my mother who was not mobile, but they were not able to do so. The frequency of care was lacking. It is a great place but not the right fit for her. They actually gave us money back because they could not fulfill the promises that they made us. It is totally worth checking out, especially for assisted living or those who need less care. I would live here myself!

I think that they could improve on their response time when requests for room repairs are made.

Skylark Senior Living was still kind of in disarray when we went to tour. They had construction going on and are trying to get things to look better but I think it is going to take a while. Right when you walk in it is dark and dreary and kind of depressing. The director tried his best, but I just do not think the facility is up to scale yet.

Pennington Gardens was a well kept facility that looked to be nice. It was just seemed like nothing was different than where we were at before and we wanted something that stuck out. It was also more expensive than we wanted.

We had A lot of problems getting set up, mostly problems with changes in staff. Things are getting better though. But I would like to see their communication improve.

When we toured this community we felt that this facility did not compare to the facility that we chose for our loved one.

This review is being written 7 months after the visit. The primary reason I didn't consider this for my mother was during the tour, there was one section with a very strong smell of urine. When I commented on it, our guide said, "I didn't notice it." I thought - either she's so used to it she doesn't smell it, or she thinks I have a vivid imagination. Neither reason was acceptable.

Clean facilities and friendly staff. Location was too far from our home and felt too large of a facility for my mom.

Price on Senior Advisor is not accurate. Almost $3000/month for a private room with the minimum allowable level of care. My mom lives here. Some big pluses and some big negatives. Good value and that's hard to find these days. A nice and diverse group of residents so there is a compatible friend for anyone seeking companionship here. Larger than average room size. Great location! Very nice, free guest room. The negatives: loads of staff turnover which is not good for the residents OR the staff. I get the distinct impression that if an employee OR a resident expresses "room for improvement" to management that they are fired or intimidated. In my opinion the medical care has been terrible. Prescriptions not filled in a timely manner and Mom out of drugs on several occasions. Once mom had a cut on her leg- resident physician's assistant stuck a band-aid on it without using antiseptic and Mom got a dangerous infection that became an emergency.
