This facility proved to be a big mistake for our mother. They could not provide the care she needed and she was constantly at emergency room for treatment of injuries. The state will now investigate the facility for elderly neglect. Her doctor can not believe how many injuries she has sustained since moving into this facility. We were advised to remove her immediately.

This was the first facility we visited and it was the worst by far. I completed a brief in take form but there was no in-depth sit down with the person who walked us around about my mother. I just didn't have a sense of warmth and caring about the place and would never consider this as an option for my mother. When asked about activities and outings we were told there were trips to WalMart and the 99 cents store .

I don’t know where to start because every aspect of this place is so poorly managed. The worst thing is that the meds are not always provided as they should be--meds these people need to survive. They seldom answer the emergency button in a timely manner. I've known residents who have had to wait for hours. The food is the poorest quality you can buy. It is so dry, you can’t eat it. The rolls and bread are old and dried out. If you get a sandwich the meat is so thin that you can’t taste the meat. Fourth, they are consistently short on help. I have heard these "professionals" yell at residents and literally gang up on them. It is very rude and difficult on these elderly people. The residents are afraid to say anything because the staff and management all stick together, and if they find out you called the state or the ombudsman, they retaliate. As for the reviews for this facility, they do not reflect how this place is run now. Most of the reviews are 2018 or before, when this place was called the Meridian. It was decent back then. Please read the latest reviews. I would hope you wouldn't put your loved one in Arlington Riverside Senior Community without looking into every aspect of this facility. Much of the information on their website is from when it was The Meridian. Lately, they've been sprucing up the outside--I expect to draw more residents. Don't be fooled, the money could be so much better spent on decent food and enough help. When you're in your 80s and only a few years left, this is not the place you want to spend your last hours, especially if you need assistance. Very little assistance is provided in this "assisted living" facility because there simply is not enough staff. I could go on and on with the problems. Just make sure you know what you're getting into.

I recently visited a family friend here and this is THE ABSOLUTE WORST PLACE TO PUT ANYONE YOU CARE ABOUT !!!! If you don’t care about the neglect and improper unclean work and staff this is the place but if you do care RUN this place is disgustingly dirty ALWAYS unstaffed management is UNPROFESSIONAL and they don’t care about workers or residents. They do not pay their employees properly I have been there and walked down the hall overhearing staff discuss receiving bad checks. This place smells horribly and the residents seem extremely unhappy and neglected. The person I went to visit was left sitting on the toilet for over an hour and the caregivers knew he was unable to get himself up he can not walk or stand for himself.

During a visit with my father I struck up conversation with some of the care takers and waitresses. I was appalled when hearing waitresses only got the minimum wage. With no tips. And the care takers only got 10 cents more? My son gets 10.65 an hour. He works at a clothing store. This issue concerns me because these people have one of the hardest jobs. Tending to people who hardly remember their own name, let alone food order. Or having to bathe an elderly person. That cannot be fun at all!. Must be such a hard job. While my son gets paid more for folding clothes. Clearly the management does not appreciate their workers and that is why this place is grossly understaffed. Never mind the only employees they're capable of racking in at that pay have quite an attitude or are covered in tattoos, and can hard let speak English. Always classy. My father, along with the other residents, and the workers, deserve better. You treat your employees bad and it effects the residents.

There was a lack of medication, I spent the night there, and saw that they didn't give him his medication, first hand. [removed] and they felt that giving me a hundred dollars to compensate, was more than generous. After twenty days she went from no wounds to having one down to the bone. My parents were there for a very short time, and I believe that their lack of care is what led to the string of complications that my mother has now passed away from. My dad lost almost 20 pounds, when he was there. The call buttons didn't work, and they convinced me to spend over a hundred dollars on a pendant that they didn't respond to either. When I went to visit one day my father was quite noticeably wearing my mother's clothes. They are a despicable, horrible place. [removed] and [removed] are the directors. Other families have been worried about medications, and their loved ones passed away too. It's the same people that ran the facility that was here before, that was shut down, now they just operate under a different name, and license. This means there is no background on their license to check. When people look at the facility ask how long they have been operating under that license, if it's brand new, do some more checking on the previous owners and license, see if it's the same people.

It was like a Gestapo, it wasn't fun. They gave him the wrong medicines twice. It went downhill. Becky Garcia, is the assistant administrator, and she has Tyrannical demeanor. When we were leaving, she was very demanding, and when she said something that was it there was no talking with her. The food was awful, they couldn't get it right.
