Brookdale Riverside is a beautiful and welcoming community. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We choose Brookdale Riverside because it was more affordable and their fees were more specific about what they actually charged for. The communication is great between the family and the staff. My father -in-law seems to be acclimating to the move. When he first arrived he really liked the food, now not so much. I think he is bored with the food. There are snacks and refreshments available for the residents between meals. They do offer activities, but my father-in-law is not the type who is inclined to participate in activities. They are in transition of getting a new activities director so maybe that will help to get him inspired to try out something new. Shopping trips are available for the residents, my father-in-law has utilized the bus to Dr. appointments and the bus driver is great. We feel very good about the choice that we made.

Very nice and great location. Seems like it could work. The little bigger ones would be better but only on 2nd floor. Main level with slider to patio nice. 2 sitting areas and dining room pleasant.

Very friendly staff. The location is currently under renovation. There are very few assisted living residents moved in so it was difficult to see the activities that they will be doing when it is in full operation. It looks like it will be a nice facility when it is finished in 2-4 weeks. It is a possible option for my Mom.

Friendly, clean, close to the Chinese community near by. Wonderful setting in the publicly shared areas. My concerns are 1. the higher pricing compare to other facilities I've visited and 2. the a la carte pricing on the extra services are also a little too high. I have no doubt they provide excellent services but it is a little over my current budget.

My mother and I toured Meridian of Riverside. It was a very nice place and the lady that took us around was friendly and welcoming. The facility itself was in good shape. It was a good experience to tour, but my mother found another place that fit her needs a little better.

Nice place. Clean. Rooms are similar to the size of a hotel room. Lots of shops restaurants and movie theaters nearby. A bit of a busy street out front, but the potential room would be in the back. Costs for both mom and dad plus dad's care is just under $5000 per month with $2500 community fee. Includes a mid-sized library/movie room, dining with restaurant style options, dayroom with television and piano. Nearby: SouPlantation, Rite Aid, Movies, Carl's Jr., Walgreens, Vons, Wells Fargo, Panda Express

I enjoyed having a tour at this community. I saw nothing wrong with the facility or the management. Based on it's location it was not in a good area for me.

My brother is doing good and he is happy living here. They have activities available like bingo but he prefers to other things. His room is cozy enough for him. The community is in a close location for me to visit and take him out. The staff are giving the care he needs and keep me up to date about my brother. I would recommend this place to those in need. I thought it looked nicer than most communities I was touring.

I almost canceled on Pacifica but I am glad I did not. They welcomed an opportunity for me to speak with their client (caregiver) who was honest and kind. He and his wife were together for 50 years (even though they seemed a lot younger) and it was a very difficult transition for both of them BUT once the transition happened, it was the best decision they made. He believes they take good care of his wife, he explained that for the first few weeks, it is best not to visit and included the hardship to him it caused. He recommended I attend coed as well as female support groups because he found them very helpful and most importantly he gave testament to the service Pacifica brought to his loved one. The 60,000 per year is within my price range thus making this an option. I need to do a bit more research (e.g. eventual hospice needs, power of...), as well as speaking with [Removed] doctors to ensure we are all on the same path.

When we toured the Brookdale Alhambra, we liked the appearance of the place. It was clean and maintained well. [Removed] was very nice and gave us a lot of information, but the place was out of our price range.

A nice facility... not much area for parking though

We are not happy with the Brookdale. They made a lot of promises before move in that now they say because of budget cuts with the new owners, they can not do. The rain from the storms has been getting into the resident's apartments and all they do is give the towels! The billing has also been all problems and it is impossible to get through to the corporate office. Before move in, we had to clean the apartment it was not ready for us.

Very nice facility. Much larger resident rooms than Brookdale Glendale although a little more expensive. [Removed] was very helpful.

The first month has been a very good experience. The staff is qualified and treat the residents well.

We are happy with the care that is provided at this community. The staff have been friendly and attentive to his needs. The community is a clean facility. Generally my relative likes the meals but at times he is served cold food. Overall, we are satisfied with the community.

Easy transition. Very flexible.

My ex-husband just started his stay at the Studio Royale on [Removed]. Even though it's still too early to write about the place, what we have noticed and seen so far, it is very nice, clean and friendly place, with variety of entertainment activities for seniors. I am sure he will be happy there.

This is a excellent community and great care. the staff is wonderful and caring. There are different prices for alot of additional services that are provided but very helpful. The meals are outstanding with a good variety. Activies are always available. My mom had a beautiful view from her room. Highly recommended for loved onces needing great care.

We very much liked the layout and color scheme of the facility. The Large Studio unit was nice and at a good price. Very nice amenities as well.

My respite stay at this community went very well. They treated me very kind and respectful. It is a well maintained facility, they do a good job with cleaning the community. The staff was great they were always willing to help. I did try a few of the activities they offer. I loved the food, the meals were very impressive. This is a community I would recommend.
