University Oaks staff have been wonderful in helping my mother and myself with her transition there. They even offered to give my mom a house warming party so that she could meet some of the other residents. My mom is slowly starting to get involved in some of the many activies they offer, she is not as involved as I would hope and still struggling some to fit in but they are working with her on that. Mom likes going to the dining area and she likes the different choices they offer on the menu. They do offer field trips, shopping outings but with mom in her mobile wheel chair it sometimes poses a problem but the ativities director is working to start taking them out more with their wheel chairs on shopping trips. I can't say enough about how helpful they were at University Oaks in working with our family and making my mom feel welcome as she was not too willing to make the move at first.

Bellarosa is brand new and very nice, a bit short staffed in the dining area but they are working on that, my mom really likes her spacious room and has even brought in some of her own furniture to make it feel more like home. The staff is attentive, friendly and they encourage my mom to take part in many of the activities they offer as well. Mom likes going to the dining room with the other residents and the food is pretty good. There are field trips to shopping and special events for the residents who want to use it. They also have a resident doctor who sees the residents by appointment weekly and helps monitor their meds. I would definitely recommend Bellarosa, it's nice, comfortable, has a pool and my mom is happy there.

This is beautiful and new. Had a great tour, everyone was friendly. This would have been a great choice if it had been closer to family members to visit.

Things are going great at this community. Dad is enjoying some of the daily activities. He loves the food and is even gaining weight. The staff are friendly and encouraging. The community is well taken care of and I would recommend it.

The menu is very good and a lot of healthy choices. Activities are offered for her to participate with the other residents. We would recommend this community for the good care and the nice staff for other families and there loved one.

We toured this community for my mom's care. We liked the rooms and the environment was beautiful. She liked the menu and the staff. We would recommend that families tour this community for the care of love.

Seems really nice. We are going to try this one to see if it as fabulous as it makes itself out to be. We have high hopes. It is very expensive though, you get what you pay for.

This may be out best choice. I love the look of them in Daphne and in Fairhope. Memory Care is offered if we need it, or if he needs to move to that later. Smoking is allowed outside.

This is a good retirement community, and my mother is doing well since her move to this community. I do feel she is safe, and in good hands here. The staff is pleasant, and have been helpful when needed. They do a good job with the cleanliness around the community. Her room, and the facility look nice, and clean when I visit. The experience is going well for us in this community, and I would recommend it to my family, and friends.

My dad is in the Memory unit at Walnut Creek so he is not too happy there as he still has some memory his home. But I am really happy with the care my father is getting at Walnut Creek and I feel that he is safe there. I like it that the staff keeps me well informed and my father is seen by their resident doctor as well as receiving home healthcare support that helps my dad bath and addresses his care for blood clots. there is also a home health nurse who comes in once a month. They do bring my father to the main population when there are special events like music which he loves and the Sunday church services. In the memory unit, they encourage my dad to play games like plastic horse shoes or badmittion with a balloon that keeps him active. I certainly would recommond Walnut Creek to my friends and family.

I like the care here for my father in law. The staff is caring and attentive. We have had meals with my father and the menu is nice and he is pleased with the nice variety. The community does offer alot of healthy meals. They offer activiites for the residents. We are more than pleased with the care that is offered here. We recommend this community for the excellent care and value for a loved one.

My mother is doing good with her move to this community. She is safe, and in good hands. They have good, friendly staff at this community. They do a good job with the cleanliness around the the community. Her room, and the facility look nice, and clean when visit. I have already recommended this community to my friends.

It was a nice tour at Walnut Creek - Mansfield. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They answered all of our questions. We like the looks of the community and it was very clean. We ended up choosing another community because of the staff to resident ratio. We wanted more staff on hand to be able to take care of any issues that may arise.

While location was not a priority, the pricing of this community was not a good fit. Their pricing was out of the ball park. For the tour, the tour guide was wonderful at showing us the community and I would have loved to pick this community too.

This is a nice community for care. We liked the staff and the environment of the clean community. The menu was appealing and the activities are offered to the residents who want to participate. The community was two story and we needed something one lever.Over all, we would recommend this community.

Nice facility, but the pricing is a problem.
