We are very pleased with Lake Worth Gardens and the friendliness of the staff and the general helpfulness.

Based on the recommendations from "A Place for Mom", my mother and I visited 5 assisted living communities in the Kingwood area. Some were very busy, others were more like a hospital, still others felt like a hotel but none felt "just right"...that is until we visited Emeritus at Kingwood. From the second we stepped in the door, the staff was very warm and welcoming. The facility itself is gorgeous and it reminded us of a hunting lodge with plenty of living rooms and fireplaces to read a good book and stay warm and cozy. Being less than a year old, Emeritus has upgraded amenities like wi-fi, which was very important to my mom who loves to play words with friends on her IPAD. In addition, they provide transportation, even for those in wheel chairs, like my mom. The apartments are spacious and full of light and all the residents we spoke to, absolutely love it there. It also offers every level of care so whatever Mom needs, it is available at Emeritus. So, Mom moved in on November 27th and she is very happy in her new home. Mom and I both agree that Emeritus at Kingwood is the best facility in the area.

Everything is wonderful, very happy. The staff is very accommodating, they really will do anything for you. They are really a lovely group. Mom is there. It has been an adjustment for her. Hoping that pretty soon she starts to really see it! She has her own apartment she has a kitchen and stove, but she eats all the meals in the dining room. I've eaten there a few times and the food is wonderful! So far everything is really working out.

We are very pleased with it! My mother-in-law gets home health and she uses the visiting doctor and I'm really impressed with him. He's as good as any doctor I've seen for the elderly. He got her on the right thyroid medication and b12. Immediately started having more energy. Yesterday she called and she said she started exercise. She loved Dancing with the Stars and she just asked me what channel that was on so she could watch it. That was huge because before she wasn't remembering that at all. She loves the food but what I'm seeing, more than anything else is she's healthier, happier, and more active. We're extremely pleased. They go out of their way to make sure we have everything we need. They do much more than I expected. They welcomed her in and took care of her. They couldn't be any more friendly. The things that home health that does not cover, they've got a lady there that you can pay to do them It's very reasonable too. She reminds her to take her medication and puts on her support hoes. She's almost like a friend and she's honest as the day is long. She had an opportunity to get extra money from us ad she did not do it. We are extremely pleased with that lady and Parkwood Meadows overall. She loves her apartment. They painted and redid everything before she got there - new flooring and they redid the bathroom. It could not be any cleaner and then of course they have housekeeping once a week.

Mom really wanted to move in to another assisted living community, because she knows several people who live there. We had to wait for a vacancy. The Windcrest on Van Dorn was an excellent choice for the 10 weeks we had to wait. Mom is 92 and had lived in her own home for over 50 years. Our concerns for her were that her memory is failing and it wasn't safe for her to climb stairs or live alone. Mom spent most of her life preparing meals for her family and others. She retired from a position as a cafeteria manager and Food Service Instructor, and continued to work in the kitchen at her church until she was 90. Several times, she commented, "They feed us really good here." And she did gain a few pounds, which she really needed to do. The cost was a little higher than where she is now, but her room at The Windcrest was considerably larger.

This facility has been the answer to my prayers. I suddenly realized it was time to move my mom from independent living in her own home to something more. I didn't really know exactly what that was. I visited Lakestone Terrace and realized this was exactly what I was looking for. I quickly moved my mom in and she is so happy. It is a great relief to have her in a place where I feel she is safe, well cared for and happy. I could not be more pleased.

It is great and we love it here.There are a lot of activities however I don't get around very well at all so I haven't made myself available to any of them yet. There are lots of things to do there every day. The food is very good. There's always a salad and entree and a small dessert. We have a two bedroom apartment with a living room and kitchen, and a little front yard. Everything is paid for with the rent, except phone and internet service. The people are very nice. If you have a problem they take care of it. If anyone were ever interested, contact Pat. She is absolutely wonderful and will show you around. We have a beautiful view. They left all the trees and each morning you see deer. The community is horseshoe shaped, with a little courtyard that we walk our dog in. It's wonderful.

We really like it. The people are very nice and it has a very pleasant atmosphere. There are lots of activities available to us. They take scenic tours in the local are. The reason we chose this one was that it gives more services for the money. It's about $1000 a month cheaper than the one that we liked in North Carolina but this gives us 3 meals a day. We like that it's not exclusively for rich people. It's more for regular folks. The hallways are very wide and there is lots of light. It's an airy place.

The care is good and the activities are good too. I like that they have the nicest of people there. For me, the best part is the distance. It is just down the street from me so it's convenient to visit. I can't think of any ways they could improve right now. My parents have only been there about a month. They like it.

My parents lived here. It was really very very nice. It's the best in the area, I think. they lived there for 10 years and mother started the red hat society there. When they first moved in it was perfect for them. It was where their friends were. It was warm and friendly. They had a lovely apartment with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. We had no complaints. After my father passed I needed to move her to Dallas so that's the only reason we left.

The family does not have to give Papa's well being a second thought now. Even better, the Renaissance welcomed me as a companion and resident. I love the food, the cultural activities and the new friendships we are making.

The activities are good except my mother has a lady who comes in, private pay type thing, every weekday so she's kind of kept herself sheltered from the social side. From what I've seen, activities and that type of thing, they seem to try very hard. Mother says she doesn't like it there, she just, bottom line, wants to be in her own home but her doctor has highly recommended Adante. I went through A Place for Mom and worked with Misti Rich and this was one of the ones on the list, but her doctor was very happy she was here. She had an uproar over her medications because she doesn't administer them, Adante does and her told her "Adante is where you need to be right now and you aren't capable of administering your own medications." She said everyone she's talked to there jsut loves it, she's just very, very stubborn

My wife and I were in need of a good Assisted Living and/or Memory Care facility for my wife's Mother and my Mother-In-Law. We wanted for her last years to be spent in a place where we could be sure that the care & facilities were excellent. We were assisted by A Place For Mom's Dawn Miller Coons and The Brennity at Daphne was an excellent choice. Amy Linder the Director of the Assisted Living portion at the Brennity was so good that we felt that was a member of our family with an unbelievable work ethic and "stay-to-it-ness" that only "family" can have for an "aging loved one"! After two months of trying to get my mother-in-law out of The Mobile Infirmary, out of Eastern Shores Rehab Center/Nursing Home ( which was an excellent facility as well) Our "aging loved one" is now living in the Memory Care portion of The Brennity at Daphne and my wife and I are extremely happy with the care she is receiving there. Amy assisted us during the entire two months and finally we were able to get her to The Brennity!

USMC not only takes care of your loved one, they also take care of you! Alzheimer’s is a difficult disease not only for your loved one, but for you. We have been there since they opened and they truly are family. My Mom was having an especially difficult time during her journey with Alzheimer’s, and we truly were at our wits end. They sat us down, loved us and said, “This is our job, your Mom is going to be OK, we will handle everything”, and they did. They fed us lunch and the nurse, administrator and almost every employee stopped by to say a kind word and offer a warm hug. They took care of every phone call and took us through each step we took. Thanks to their knowledge and work, my mom is back to “her normal”. This truly is our home for Mom!

Toured this place and loved it. Walls were brightly colored. Lighting was good throughout. It felt like a fancy hotel and like a home at the same time. This is the place I would love to talk my parents into living in. It provides a lot of activities for the residents and food looked good. Residents seemed to be having a good time. Room were very nice.

VISITED AND A 1 BEDROOM APT ON THE FIRST FLOOR OBTAINED AND WILL BE MOVING MOTHER IN ON TUESDAY. THEY HAVE A NURSE AVAILABLE EVERYDAY FROM 7A TO 7P.

Oh my gosh, this has been a sign of God's goodness, I couldn't be happier with the home, it's wonderful. This is a hard thing for anyone, it was more my decision to move my father here so I kind of discount his opinion on it, he wants his independence, but I know it's wonderful. I'm in touch with the home and with him and they have all kinds of creative activities. They take input and they've taken him to restaurants he's specfically requested. I don't know how it is in other parts of the country but in this area it's so competitive it was like trying to buy a car and going to a car dealership. Places were calling me all the time and it was so easy finding one.

It was simply beautiful but it was just a little too expensive for her income. The people were nice - they all get 10s!

We have been very pleased and grateful for them. From what I've seen - I'm in another state so I've only been there briefly visiting my mom - they have music activities, cards, dominioes and of course they take them places. Those are the only ones I've witnessed but I'm sure they have more. My mom likes it. She's happy with it. She hasn't said anything negative. All her feedback has been positive.

Things are working fine, mother is adjusting quite well to it, we're happy with it
