We have been very happy with our experience with Brookstone Assisted Living.

There has been a lot of turn over which has made a lot of changes in the community. It is hard to get a relationship going or getting to know someone when there is so much turn over and change in staff. My loved one is happy that we are at this facility as opposed to other facilities. She is as happy as she has been through this whole process. If there is some more stability with the staff and the ability to create a routine things would be even better.

The Pinnacle has a cottage type vibe and I really liked it, it seems homey. It is a beautiful facility and I really liked the girl I spoke to initially. She was not able to be there during the tour due to a family emergency so the staff did not know that I was coming. The staff to patient ratio here seemed low which made me nervous.

You have to judge the facility for yourself. Room sizes are adequate, The food is average but they do have a variety. The grounds are well maintained and they do have a place for folks to go outside. I would recommend this community.

They have had a lot of turnover rate, which we believe it is probably due to COVID. For the two months we were able to visit, it is just adorable it is probably one of the warmest and coziest places we have seen. The women at the front desk are wonderful, and the value is phenomenal. Our loved one loves the staff and she has a favorite care giver that she sees at night. From our understanding the care services seem fine. The moment our loved one needs anything they are very quick to communicate with us. Our loved one does enjoy their pet therapy day,

I toured a lot of places. For the price and the environment, Woodland Heights was the best option in the area. It is an age in place community which was a big factor for us. My dad started as Independent and he can add services as needed. The rooms are good sizes, my dad is a large man and he had a large bathroom. They have a lot of floor plans. It takes a little too long when you request a repair to your room. The food is good but my dad says sometimes it is cold. Outdoor space is great, they have great view.

My mother is doing well since her move into Woodland Heights. Everything is fine and they are taking good care of her.

This is a very nice facility with a nice staff. We liked it but felt it was not the best fit for our relative. I would recommend it highly for any woman who enjoys visiting with others and would love tea time in the afternoons.

I'am getting better everyday here at this community. I'am still adjusting to everything, but so far it has been a nice experience. The community looks nice and clean. The staff is kind and very friendly, they are always very cheerful. The food is good, I enjoy the meals. Everyday things get a little better. This is a community I would recommend.

Dad has been at Brookstone now about seven years or more and likes it quite abit. Hes fallin quite a few times and they ve always been there to help him. Everyone is friendly and easy to get along with. They seem to go the extra mile to meet his meal needs. By now , he knows almost everyone of the residents and staff by name, and enjoys the outtings and trips they go on from time to time. Right now this seems to be the place he needs to be. Anonymous

My Mother has been at Brookstone for about a year. They have been helpful and kind to her special needs. It is a good environment for seniors as they find they need a bit more help doing things that used to be routine. The casual dining and activities have made it a good place for Mom.

My loved one was previously a resident at The Pinnacle of Louisville and the overall experience for her at this facility was okay. The food was not good. The friendliness was good. The Pinnacle of Louisville was a nice place, but we had issues with the care and with the caregivers.

The first part of his stay at Brookstone was pleasant. The last part of his stay was hard. His disease progressed and he was a more difficult resident. But the doctor assured us this was nothing out of the usual for the disease. There was a significant staff change and the new employees were not as skilled in helping him. They were very short staffed. I don't know if I could recommend them. Our end was not a great experience but I'm sure there are not many of the same staff still working there. Someone else could go there and have a completely different experience.

I'm currently a resident at Woodland Heights and the experience has been okay. If my rent is raised by the same amount as last year, I will have to move.

The facility is grossly understaffed, especially on weekends. It's a fine place if you only require level I care, but not for levels above that. Staff was responsive to the call button, but it took between 1-5 minutes. There is one housekeeper for the entire facility. My loved one's room was cleaned once a week, though with his incontinence it needed more. Bathroom always smelled of urine because the toilet had leaked and seeped into the vinyl flooring. Shower was small, and sink was not usable for a wheelchair-bound resident. Soiled laundry was often just left in the laundry basket. I understand they are under management at present, and they are trying to make it all Level I care. Communication with family was adequate. Meals are fine. Move in was fine. I would not recommend this facility unless it makes drastic changes.

I would not recommend the Brookstone. Staff is nice and friendly, but overall, it is an older facility that reminds me of a nursing home, not Asst Living. We are looking to move her into a newer facility with more amenities. At the Brookstone, the automatic front doors have never worked. There was a sign up for weeks saying the fire alarm/sprinklers weren't working!! My mom still does not have a mailbox of her own. I know that sounds minor, but for what we are spending monthly those everything should work and be in top condition!

The amount of staff is limited at The Pinnacle of Southaven. However, the staff that they do have are friendly and always have time to talk about the community members. The communication with the family is sparse. My brother's health declined rapidly and no one informed me. It was by chance that we were able to see him before he passed. The food is good and individualized. My sister in law is always clean. I would like more activities and outside time. That would require additional staff. I would recommend the facility to others based on individual needs. Memory Care is a difficult area to rate.

We are grateful that they took us and my loved one has a beautiful room with a nice big window, bathroom, and kitchen area. The value for the money was better than any other place we could find as well. It is in a beautiful location. You walk in the facility and it is beautiful and they have a very nice dining room area that you can see. They are short staffed so that has affected some things, they are using a lot of temporary staff. I love the facility and all of the staff that are there have been wonderful.

I was not really fond of this community. The tour was fine and the person that lead us around was great and very attentive.
